Because with her is different, she is totally alone, the player(you) are her only companion, they wanted us to create a personal and emotional bond with her, deeper than that of the main game. And as you play that last chapter for the first time you always have hope for her, and Booker even. But all that was simply crushed with a rusty wrench. But yet she was killed not too far from a Vita Chamber Prototype. The creators can make a DLC out of that fact, I think, and give Booker and Elizabeth the ending they deserve, with the help of the Lutece Pair. There can still be Hope...

This song is so haunting it made me replay the entire game series, no joke. One of my all time favorite characters Elizebeth, we'll all be so alone without you and Booker
This song always brings tears to my eyes even though I am a grown up man, by far bioshock series was one of the most beautiful games I have played in my life, if not the best.
I love this song to pieces, but it reminds me terribly of a person that I used to love and had to leave due to rising problems, due to the fact that they used to sing this for me and cosplayed Elizabeth. Good, but very painful memories attached to it. Starting to love the series again after it made me think of them all the time due to us bonding over it. Healing takes a while, folks. You'll be able to enjoy what you love again.
man I love and hate this song vey very much lol I love it cause it's very lovely and Elizabeth's voice actor did an amazing job with it I hate it cause it reminds me of the sad events of bioshock and the sad events that happened to me irl during the period of playing the game .... also Elizabeth's sad voice and the placement of this song in the game's storyline makes it so much worse and almost triggers my depression lol

OK so, I finished all the BioShock games recently for like the second time, and BioShock infinite still gives me chills for his story and immersion that no other games ever gived to me; anyway, last night I had a dream where I was flying in a beatiful sky singing this song, and there was someone singing with me but I don't remember who it was but I remember was a female voice and I could not see her face, with this I'm not saying it was Elizabeth because that would be very cringe, but that was one of the best dreams I ever had, it gived to me a sensation of peace and freedom I never had.
Mass Effect and Bioshock are my favorite games. The DCL of Burial at Sea is the sublimation of the whole game. Tragedy is the easiest to move people. Fate is not controllable, people try to make things develop in a good direction, but fate makes this effort useless, and this feeling of powerlessness makes people unable to call themselves. All great games, like plays, are not about how gorgeous the props are, but about the script. A great screenwriter makes a great play, like Shakespeare.
Bioshock was the only game my ex would ever play with me , she'd do all the exploring and whenever there was anything too difficult for her I'd take over even tho it was on easy haha . I remember we finally ended up on the dlc for infinite after weeeeeks. Burial at sea made her cry and me too because of that . This game was beautiful and so was she . I can't play these games again man :(
We might, but it won't be the same if it doesn't have Elizabeth and Booker. This was sort of the Twelfth Doctor and Clara scenario: there was stuff before, there will be stuff after, but they hit perfection with the pairing and it just won't be the same. I've played Bioshock 1 and 2 and they feel lacking without Elizabeth and Booker. If BS4 doesn't feature them (in some regards) it may be a good game, but won't feel the same.
This song and the who series itself has managed to stay in my mind for years now. Bioshock infinite gave me the one thing i really wanted. To be able to just walk around in the two cities (for the brief moments where there is no fighting and you just get to take in the city) not to mention paris..
And Will the Circle Be Unbroken was a Johnny Cash song, but it was picked because the lines had relevance to the Bioshock Infinite story. "Is a better home awaiting in the sky?" was talking about heaven originally, but Infinite used it as a reference to Columbia. It's perfectly reasonable to think that You Belong to Me was chosen for its relevance to Bioshock's story.
playing through some of the games you wouldn’t expect this which makes you really fond of Elizabeth never knowing what will happen to her then when you play BAS you see her die and you start sobbing and crying in the corner. In conclusion I can’t get over Elizabeth’s death it will stick with me and this song will forever be in my head .
@@christiansimpson4303 Yeah it's absolutely exquisite. It's such a shame it wasn't part of the main game because it honestly feels like the natural third act of Infinite that ties everything together.

A beautiful song sung many ways by different recording artists but this one is my favorite. I remember this sing from my childhood when my dad played music from the Great War knows as ww1 after the start of ww2 and ww2 music. Miss those records.

@@oneiroixrd How is that corny? The game literally had everyone thinking the same as I did during the beginning of the game. Everyone just assumed they were bound to be couples, not daughter and father status. So many streamers got confused too not knowing till the actual revealing point.
I have to agree with lemonsoda because it would be kind of corny if they were together. But remember all just opinions some people support the couple stand point and others support the father and daughter stand point.

I just finished the three games of Bioshock and all DLCs and I really loved the story. It's so amazing and touching.
