So glad you are FINALLY doing video podcasts. These have been overdue. I love Ben Stiller and this episode was AMAZING. Please bring him back for a Pt. 2
So amazing Ben Stiller is the best guy in the world. I literally think he’s so talented. He’s made some of my favorite movies ever. He is a phenomenal actor completely brilliant. He is a genius no question.
I went to a taping of the Pete Holmes show! it was a great experience! Ben Stiller seems to be SUCH a chill, down-to-earth person, I like him even more now.
can't quantify exactly how much facial expressions enhance a pod, but it's quite a lot. So thanks for the video Peter Peter blumpkin eater Forgot to add: Ben has remained grounded and relatable and normal, at least it seems thst way, which is amazing considering the extreme range of acting he can do. Most of those extreme actors are odd in at least one way
Ben is a slow burn and really smart and real. He was ahead of his time with all his projects for a long time, imo. Loved him since The Ben Stiller Show and I know all the words to Reality Bites. It cut deep in my teens. Through this interview I can can affirm that his persona and career are like the friend you really connect with that makes you laugh that you never see enough of, and then suddenly you realize how much you love him...but don't want to ruin what you have so you just continue loving him how you're meant to, in the doses you get. If that makes sense. Thanks for this it was comforting and flowed nicely. 💗✨
Found you on tyso. Not sure how I’ve missed you all these years but so happy to find you. You have really great energy and I’m happy to have found you. Take care.
A lot of times I’ll watch a show and say “oh that’s my new favorite” but when it comes to Severance… that is genuinely the best tv show I’ve ever seen.
“Why did you need to be a comedian?” “My mum was Anne Meara and my dad was JERRY STILLER.” Wonderful chat, great to see you back on screen (hearing you laugh is not as great as seeing you laugh)!
Severance is Game of Thrones level...I NEVER say this! (P.S. I love that Adam Scott and Ben Stiller did Walter Mitty together which tackled similar work centered existential themes)
1:20:06 : There once was a ghost from Nantucket An infant who had kicked the bucket When Ben came along They started their song And Ben sang along like a puppet
Pete (and Val), I love your podcast! The spirituality and curiosity of your discussions is enlightened. Keep doing that “thang”, in between all the standup work and “parenting work” in between. Love love love you guys! 👏👏👋🎶😎😎❤️❤️❤️
Hey Pete! Fellow Pete here! I understand that maybe you won’t make these much longer if they don’t get a certain amount of views but I always look forward to these videos! Very reminiscent of your old show. Anyways, cheers!
I’m a fan Pete but you dropped the bal! Ben mentioned Escape at Dannemora which was amazing and you didn’t ask him anything about it! It deserves more recognition. Ben is an amazing director!
Great episode. Just need to point out Pete's saying the Noah Baumbach film is "The Meyerowitz Report" but it's "The Meyerowitz Stories". I just don't want this confused with The Borowitz Report lol -Love, a weirdo
Great episode learning about Ben! What a cool cat! Loving this new video element and we finally get to see the sauna in back that all your guests talk about! I love your standup! Loved hbo's crashers (i did 5yrs of standup so it really hit home for me!) And i like the We episodes you do with Val, We-isodes? I think i like them more than the guestisodes! Sorry about your recent series being cancelled. I understand though, people dont want to hear laugh tracks, I made it about 5 minutes into the first episode and had to shut it off. It's like, don't insult my intelligence by telling me when I'm supposed to laugh, I know what's funny! Anywhoozles! I'm stickin around to see whatever you do next cause you're amazing! And thus completes the shit sandwich; compliment // poo poo // compliment. Kay, byeeeeeeeeee!
If I can throw my criticism in with out getting ripped apart by the internet and with the hope of not hurting feelings (as if anyone will give a F), can we do these in person or not at all? It's just to painful to listen to the talking over eachother and the missed/failed jokes because of the overall lagginess that plagues this wannabe strar trek tech.. Love you 😘
Stiller was not what I expected. He was very chill, gentle and kind. I know that sounds like a compliment wrapped in an insult, but I didn't mean it that way.
Wow loving that we get ymw video now. Free podcast! =) what a get! Ben Stiller. And holy shit Pete you didn't do 10mins of Pete picks. That's a first! Peeaaataaahhhh those psych studies are using "Deception".
Glad you took the TH-cam plunge for the pod, but would be much better if you both were onscreen the whole way through instead of switching back and forth.
Hey Pete, Love being referenced as one of the weirdo's (in the intro.), it's actually the first word I use as a self description. Also really loved Crashing and IMHO it should have gone on for a few more seasons at least. Anyway.. as far as this specific episode goes.. (the first YMIW I've managed to listen to), OMG.. I love Ben, you, Joe Rogan and all of the people he tends to invite on to his show, but FFS, two hours of relatively aimless banter just hurts my ears for the most part! I don't want you to take my opinion too seriously, I mostly wanted to give you props for Crashing etc. (from all the way down here in Aus. where getting access to much of your work isn't always easy, it IS always late, but not easy.) Keep rockin' dude
If you're like me, you're hoping Derek Zoolander doesn't endorse Donald Trump and donate "Blue Steal" to the campaign because that would invite ridicule. Heavens, let's not put Derek in a red cap at the gas station!
I know Pete has mentioned the book 'Iron John' a few times, but I swear a few weeks back he talked about a book called something like 'Tribe' - does anyone know the book he mentioned then ?
It’s called Tribe by Sebastian Junger. I read it after he recommended it and while it’s interesting, it focuses a bit too much on the military for my taste. It’s a very short book though.
Pete, luv ya, buuuuuut you make this sooo hard to watch..... 2 horrible and overly-long intros? You haven't earned the right to waste the audience's time.... Get on with it!!! Give us viewers what we came for-A great Ben Stiller interview....and at least frame your shot correctly. Right now this show is a hot mess and unbearable to tolerate.
yeah but yeah but, if everyone's loud, I'm gonna have to keep my noise-cancelling headphones on all the time then! why speak at 60dB and above? Jesus, it's not like you invented the cure for cancer
Ive only got about a dozen or so channels im subscribed to. Never had the heart to remove yours in the hope you'd start posting again...
Straight up truth right here.
Right?! I'm happy to see him posting stuff again. He's a real light in these trying times.
not exactly mr consistent he left tv well before conan in fact he's probably the reason Conan left TV jk
Glad your doing this again Pete
You rule pete,stay awesome
Ben Stiller is such a fantastic podcast guest - warm, humble, grateful. This was a good one, Pete.
Hes got grey hair since when?
What a wonderful, relaxed, honest conversation between two incredibly talented and fascinating individuals 👍
I wish I had a happy demeanour and was carefree like Pete. He really is a light in a dark world. Thanks for uploading this
he's a millionaire, with a sauna in the background. cut yourself some slack.
@@caejacks which he earned working hard. Of course if you think its easy why aren’t you rich?
Never knew Ben was so delightful until this. He's awesome.
So glad you are FINALLY doing video podcasts. These have been overdue. I love Ben Stiller and this episode was AMAZING. Please bring him back for a Pt. 2
Ben is the goat. one of my favourites ever
So amazing Ben Stiller is the best guy in the world. I literally think he’s so talented. He’s made some of my favorite movies ever. He is a phenomenal actor completely brilliant. He is a genius no question.
Can’t wait for the next one already. Love Pete and love the podcast. Literally makes me laugh every time
Ben stiller seems like such a level-headed guy. Loved him in secret life of Walter Mitty, was a real "what is life" thought provoking movie🌎🙏
Cheers for giving us video now, Pete! One of my favorite podcasts of all time
I went to a taping of the Pete Holmes show! it was a great experience! Ben Stiller seems to be SUCH a chill, down-to-earth person, I like him even more now.
dang I get to hang out with YMIWeirdos in the TH-cam Comment land, hey guys! I"ve been a fan for like 10 years now.... see you at YMIW con
No snark, just love - love the new ad placements! much preferred to the usual 10-15 min up top

Forgot to add: Ben has remained grounded and relatable and normal, at least it seems thst way, which is amazing considering the extreme range of acting he can do. Most of those extreme actors are odd in at least one way
Love this! Can't wait to hopefully (fingers crossed) see the WMIW eppys on here!

Great interview. I really love how HUMAN this podcast is
What a wonderful conversation. Ben is so genuine. Loved this
been a fan since the beginning pete!. video adds a whole new dimension. good to finally see your physicality.
These are so good! I have never been a podcast guy but these are just so wholesome and listenable. Very well done!
Found you on tyso. Not sure how I’ve missed you all these years but so happy to find you. You have really great energy and I’m happy to have found you. Take care.

Really happy to see Video YMIW!
A million more! Such fantastic content.
This was such a great episode. Ben is a legend
Pete I needed you to come back to video format. I missed you!!!
Omg Pete keep these coming!
Awesome interview by two of my favorite funny people. But one question Pete...
Harvey Dent, can we trust him?
Aww yeah Pete's back babyyy!!
FEELS LIKE I’VE BEEN WAITING FOR 50 YEARS FOR THIS!!!!!!
Thanks for this guys!
Great cast Pete and Ben🥰
Pete is so joyful. Love it.

The secret Life of Walter.... Reality bites two of my favorite movies!!

You should've asked him what kind of devil ends a season on a cliffhanger such as Severance
Good interview Pete. Good job.
Great episode. Just need to point out Pete's saying the Noah Baumbach film is "The Meyerowitz Report" but it's "The Meyerowitz Stories". I just don't want this confused with The Borowitz Report lol -Love, a weirdo
Side note: is no one going to mention how good stiller’s hair and glasses go? He looks GOOD
KEEPIN' IT KRISPY..!!!

Love you 😘
doesn't matter where Ben shows up , he's looks good , wish i could too
He knows that every comment we leave within 2 hours is some premature BS. He KNOWS.
Two things I've been wanting to see above all: 1. The Batman/Joker hug, and 2. the sauna!!
Met Stiller back around 2000. He is chill
Stiller was not what I expected. He was very chill, gentle and kind. I know that sounds like a compliment wrapped in an insult, but I didn't mean it that way.
Thank goodness you started posting again
Great ep!
Was just thinking about you! Nice
You should go back to ur skits n bits, I loved all your xmen, street fighter and badman videos. I think ur great
Wow, an episode of YMIW under 2 hours!
Been waiting for Pete Holmes content. Nice.
Loved this one
Constructive note: too much headroom, Peter. I’d argue Ben has too much as well, but come on! You’re cutting off your chin!
Lol yeah right?!
You try making a psychological experiment that is both completely accurate as well as ethical! Hahaha it can’t be done!
So stoked for these video episodes
The weirdest thing about this is the position of the camera. Looking forward to the next one though.
Wow loving that we get ymw video now. Free podcast! =) what a get! Ben Stiller. And holy shit Pete you didn't do 10mins of Pete picks. That's a first! Peeaaataaahhhh those psych studies are using "Deception".
Hey this was pretty cool Ben seems chill
Hey considering you're no longer in lockdown... how about some uhh sketches? please?
I'm 100% Temple of Doom. I think it's the best adventure film ever made.
Nice framing
Serverance really does ruuuule
My job is walking up to random people and talking to them. I'm completely comfortable at parties.
God, I love Pete Holmes!
❤ it
What’s up with that slender man door behind Ben? (Sorry if they mention it on the show?)
Ben Stiller minus the hair color is pleasing. 😉
Bluechew? Rly? :P Everything else yay! :)
Glad you took the TH-cam plunge for the pod, but would be much better if you both were onscreen the whole way through instead of switching back and forth.
Ya its shot like a tv show, not a podcast. Tigerbelly understands the assignment lol many cam angles. Love ya Pete😻😻

It’s like Pete Holmes has digested John Ritter’s personality…
This is unbelievable
Holy Shit Video YMIW !!!!
He sounds so much like Sam Harris haha
If you're like me, you're hoping Derek Zoolander doesn't endorse Donald Trump and donate "Blue Steal" to the campaign because that would invite ridicule. Heavens, let's not put Derek in a red cap at the gas station!
Or at a Fulton County Sheriff's Office.
What an awkward interview this must have been for Ben 🤣
mer-MAN...mer-MANNN
Rick sent me!

Is Pete Holmes really just Val Kilmer?
Yes
oh this thing still happens?
Love Ben, but Maya Rudolph episode is what YMIW is about. No shade. Just check that out of your new to this podcast
