American society churns out boys like this as if it is a desired product. Simply wishing it to be better, or demonising him, is nothing but vapid platitudes.
A few weeks ago, only a few miles from my home, two men got in a road rage incident. The younger man got out of his car and walked back to the other guys car and flicked a cigarette butt in his face. He turned around and started walking back to his own vehicle when the other man, about 55 years old, got out and shot him in the back. Killed him. They both had families and both of their happy lives were over in an instant. People are dumb as hell these days. Absolutely moronic.
For every action there is a reaction....not always equal. If ppl would watch what they said and do, MOST would be OK. This kid was evil, so I'm referring to the case you mention
God, how incredibly sad, but what a stupid decision to flick someone a burning cigarette in their face…it begged for a beating…but that’s all it should have been. To lose a life over a silly argument. Well not just one life, the killer’s his children and who knows grand children, they live in shame and sorrow. The parents of the kid who got shot, the siblings who will never have a proper relationship with their parents anymore because of the loss they endured. It’s like a cancer it just keeps spreading. Over 1 argument all is destroyed and altered to never be the same again. Tragic beyond words.
My husband and I experienced an encounter with a crazed man who tried to run us off the road or get us to pull over. We had no idea what we did. He was insane. He ended up wrecking(ran into a ditch of the road the interstate) in a frenzy. He was ok but messed his car up and jumped out screaming behind us. I was huge pregnant at the time. We definitely did not stop.
It's wild just how quick people are to anger behind the wheel, even people who otherwise mostly have their anger under control, but for some reason getting behind the wheel just unleashes the beast in some people, where every slight mishap is an attack against them that must be punished, every wrong action someone else makes, you suddenly must become the batman of the streets.
@@FreeBandz7 Oh for sure no doubt, but I'm just saying that it seems like people get behind the wheel, even people who aren't normally like this, and the demons come out haha. Just seems it makes even the most calm people angry sometimes and the angry people it just makes them lose their minds. Just something about driving I feel amplifies anger. Any of the tiniest things can set you off.
I agree. He is good at his job. He knows how to approach this suspect and how to talk to him. Not all detectives are good at communication. I have heard some that are just cringe-worthy!
Ok, so let's say this guy legit has some mental issue that made him lose control. He admits that he knew he had these issues and he chose to own and carry a gun. He's still 100% responsible.
Did you ever read any of the craziness posted by Americans lately? Most of them are insane, who can't even tell fact from fiction. God help anyone who pushed hundreds of millions of guns into the hands of these people. Statistically, of course these weapons would find their way into these hands. I always scoffed at the idea of violent video games and misinformation, but mass psychosis is a real thing and this is just the start of it. It's about to get much much worse
Yeah..this guy reminds me of a friend I had..the look on his face, the way he describes some things, it’s extremely similar..he started to suffer from manic depression pretty young, it changed his appearance and then was dealing with schizophrenia that started in probably his early-mid 20’s..this kid really reminds me of him..he has since killed himself and as fucked as this is going to sound, it was for the better..I don’t think he had a chance of getting better..the meds really fucked him up..but all along the way, it’s not like my friend ever didn’t know what he was doing..but I do believe it did affect his decision making
Honestly I don't accept mental health issues as valid arguments 99% of the time. The fact is some one chooses to commit an action, and if they really are so out of control that they can't prevent themselves or otherwise in a mental state you could consider them responsible for the actions, that's also a very good reason to remove them from the public.
So sad that this lady thinking she needed to move out of the way of the ambulance as someone’s life may depend on it not realising that it would cost her sons life and severely injure another son and nearly cost her own life. Jeremy’s a liar. He knows what he done.
It's the law regardless if she did it to be a good person or not. You worded it as if she had a choice when in reality anybody with a driver's license knows it is the law to merge over when sirens are coming.

As more and more people mentally deteriorate, it is most important to stay very alert of who surrounds you. Do not cuss anyone out. It may be your last gripe. How tragic.
Most people are like you, but someone could get his/hands on one of your guns and cause chaos and murder. There are too many GUNS in this country that are in the wrong hands.

My sister honked at someone and flipped them off. That guy chased her home, drove up on the lawn, screaming fo her to come back outside with expletives. Her husband met him at the door with his weapon drawn. You never know who you are dealing with on the roads these days. I taught my kids, using the car horn is like screaming " F You" to random people on the road , if you're not using it as a safety tool.
I got beat up on a bus because I was trying to stop a meth junkie from lighting her pipe up in front of two 12 year olds. Two huge guys had to pull her off. And I wasn't even rude. I just asked if she could wait til the kids got off the bus.

Imagine losing your family , and having a brain injury that makes it hard for you to walk and knowing once you're older that the man who did this to you is sitting in prison . You were perfectly healthy b4 encountering this man. . . It would fuck with my mind hard.
Your mind, just like your body, is part of your body's physical system, so the physical chemistry in your brain, that CREATES your mind, physically affects your physical actions, just like a broken leg would .. He doesn't want to go to gaol for this, so of course he wishes he didn't do it.. If he wasn't mentally broken he would make better choices.. It's easy for us unbroken people to say "he should know better like we do" , but you can only know & do what your physical chemistry allows you to know & do.. We are lucky to have pretty clear control of ourselves & choices.. Not everyone is so lucky.. Be grateful.. ☮️🌏 edit.. He still deserves goal for life, because he is broken , & it is not safe for others to let him out in society
Boy, He is a furious guy. He was lying when he said "I should have seen this coming", "Losing my presence in my own body". He believes these detectives are curious about his dreams and how tired he is. Many people are bi-polar but they don't commit murder. He got super angry and lost it shooting his victims and killing them.
Many people are bipolar don't commit murder, but that doesn't mean that if severe enough it can't cause you to do just that. Same for Schizo, most people with schizo don't actually murder, but it's usually the people with more severe diagnosis that end up doing it when it does happen (who wouldn't have if they were in their right mind, not just an evil guy who happened to have schizo or enjoyed doing the evil things he did). In this case, though, I think you're probably right that he just got angry and lost it.
Completely NORMAL people kill people every day. This had NOTHING to do with his diagnosis, but MAY have everything to do with the MEDS he was taking for it.
he certainly knew how to articulate his need for something to eat and a phone call. But whenever asked anything about the incident he either says its like a dream or he can't remember. It's so predictable- question, hangs his head, can't remember. And it was rather obvious how calculating he can be when asked if he knew right from wrong- he hung his head while he thought of an answer then said "sometimes". Also when he thinks the detective isn't buying it, a little glimmer of his anger shows when he sits up straight and speaks loudly. I certainly think he's disturbed but not in the fashion he would like us to think.
Canada - "We sentence you to be in prison until RR Martin finishes his next book." USA - "We sentence you to be in prison so long that you might serve the last half of your sentence in an institute on Mars."
It looks very manipulative and fake to me. He's trying to start trying to establish diminished capacity but the officers questions he answered accurately with bad acting imo. Playing Possum
No one with diagnosed mental illness should be able to obtain a gun like this man did. He just went to Walmart and bought a gun. That is the crazy part of it. Had he not had a gun that day, no one would have been shot.
This doesn't sound like a mentally unwell person. This sounds like a man who acted rashly to fulfill his fantasies and is then In shock over the realization that his entire life is screwed now.
@@balgraeve I mean the argument could be made that no mentally well person would do something like this. But this guy I'm certain knew what he was doing and wanted to do it. Having bi-polar disorder myself, this is a sobering video. I've experienced the 'third person' viewpoint before in a high stress situation that triggered a fight or flight. Same here. I don't even feel safe in the USA any longer. Of course, with my partner and I, it is because we are LGBTQ. To be more specific, we are two gay males. With the way people are flipping out over everything these days, I no longer go anywhere. I stay on our rural farm and interact with the plants and animals that surround our property. There is all this Anti-gay sentiment happening in the USA and around the whole planet, lately. Why it should be happening here, is something I wish I knew. We have already received a couple of death threats from the republicans next door, in Iowa. Luckily, they don't know where we live, but I suppose it wouldn't be that hard for them to find out. That is what scares the crap out of me! As gay people, we had made so much headway in finally being accepted here in the US. That all seems to be gone, and all the rights we earned, so we would be equal to everyone else finally, are being taken away again. I don't know why the republicans of all people, decided to try and take us down. I don't know what we did to them. Probably nothing. I think it has more to do with the fact that we are still considered minorities, so we are an easy group of people to blame for everything that goes wrong in the USA. It really sucks to no longer feel safe in the country where you were born. A number of US states are now producing all kinds of Anti-LGBTQ bills and laws. Iowa is number one, and Florida and many other Southern states are not far behind. Even my birth state of Montana has turned into a Hate State, where they are trying to make it illegal to be LGBTQ. I am not sure how much lower those people can go. Sorry that I went off here, and that I did so as a reply to your post. I don't expect everyone to agree with me, but I am hoping it will open some eyes. All this hate and violence is so unnecessary. Live and let live.

@pkfryer Probably not. However, you can't judge someone off of one comment they make, imho. Personally, I am very happy and proud of SittingRare, since they realised that the road rage they were experiencing, could very well cause something like in the video to happen. At least they did something about their road rage and no longer let it control them. I would also say, that your post likely comes off as very judgmental, and you probably will not get an answer from SR. It comes across as kind of rude, to be honest. You may not have meant it to be, but that's how it sounded to me when I read it. The man in the video, Jeremy, definitely does have some mental issues. The video mentioned Bi-Polar, but I am seeing other issues. Jeremy may also be a Sociopath. His remorse is mostly for himself and his own safety. He may feel bad about what he did, but he is not showing it. People who are on the kind of medications that he is on, should not be allowed to have a firearm. It is just asking for trouble, and that is exactly what happened.
You can tell he's lying because he's hesitating, trying to think of a way out. He may have mental problems but, he's smart enough to run and say he was at work all day.
This guy is in deep thought, he's got the sense to buy a gun, do the crime, run and cover up. He may have emotion problems but, he's in control for the most part.
I don’t like when people try to play on there mental illness to “get out of things”. As someone diagnosed with borderline personality disorder, I may have some impulse control and anger problems but I would NEVER hurt anyone and IF I ever did, I sure as hell would never use my BPD as an excuse for my actions. I am an adult. I know right from wrong and so does he. The long pauses to think of lies and act as if he was dazed and didn’t know what he was doing is so incredibly disappointing and disgusting.
They don’t realise that Legal and clinical definitions of mental illness are very different and that it is nearly impossible to successfully claim mental breakdowns as a defence!!! You need to be in almost an auto pilot mode when the crime occurs and in most cases they even harm themselves in the process there is no self preservation. E.g Austin Harrouff
To me, this seems to be mostly an act that he's putting on. He's setting himself up for an insanity defense. Too bad he already admitted to knowing it was wrong. He may be a little messed up on new meds, but not as bad as he's putting on. Man up, dude.

Then I turned right heading on my way. She almost hit a car head on speeding up to turn next to me in the on coming lane. Then she got back behind me so I drove about 3/4 a mile down the road and pulled into the police station parking lot. Thinking she would go on. NOPE. She pulled in behind me. There were 2 cops sitting in their cars so I pulled up between them. Told them what was going on. She pulled up threading to kill me calling me all kinds of names. And they talked her down and told her to go home. They then informed me they call her the crazy Karen of our town. Apparently she road rages all the time. They thinks she’s crazy and funny. Couldn’t do anything about it. He even admitted to it but because he didn’t follow through with it he couldn’t get any help. Sad that these people have to hurt or k*ll someone for anything to be done. I hope that lady you dealt with doesn’t hurt anyone for them to do something about it. Just sad. Be safe.
If people are a threat to themselves or others, saying they are going to suicide or kill someone else, that meets the criteria for being admitted into a behavioral hospital or facility of its kind. Crazy no one would help!
Harmless? Lmao I bet they wouldn't say that if it was their kids in the car being run off the road and into a possible accident. And cops wonder why people don't like them?
This has very little to do with being bipolar/manic depressive. This is a case where a guy with road rage let his anger get the best of him and now he's trying to play "mentally ill" as a defense because he think he can get off by reason of insanity. We've all been cut off in traffic and got highly pissed off at a fellow motorist. I too am bipolar and had 2 breakdowns, 2019 and 2020. I lost my career and became homeless as a result and as of today I'm still trying to piece my life back together, so I know how he may feel. However, he need to own up to what he did and stop trying to act like he forgot everything...smh
I'm also bipolar (type 2) and hate when someone else with the disorder commits horrific crimes and blames it on the disease because it perpetuates the ides that people with the disorder are all dangerous. I spend so much of my time explaining exactly what bipolar disorder is to anyone that I choose to share my diagnosis with to avoid them being completely terrified of me because of people like this guy
I'm bipolar as well and have been cut off on the road as well, makes me angry but not enough to fight nor kill. So NO, bipolar does not affect everyone the same. Some people use this illness to get away with foolishness that they do.
Another thing is if a person has bipolar and is untreated or a person that has bipolar and has been successfully treated with medication. If your meds work you are just like everyone else for the most part. If you aren’t treated properly then you are Superman and go 1000000 miles per hour. Easily provoked. Drastic mood swings. But… if you are the type that would normally not ever hurt anyone ever…. Even during the worst episodes you won’t hurt anyone even if you seem scary to people. Bless all you bipolar rollers and I’m praying for y’all.
22:37 I pay no attention to people trying to start road rage with me. A good advice is to never flip off anyone, you never know what that person is capable of doing. It’s not worth it. @@SavingOurRepublic I agree, but in USA it’s the same as in Sweden these days, non existent mental health care. There’s a reason there used to be insane asylums, some people are simply too dangerous for their own good.
Imagine that ....a family devastated for just trying to merge out of the way, mandatory by law, for an emergency vehicle that was coming up behind them. This man should remain in a cage for the rest of his life
A person this messed up for years, when their meds are changed I think they should be at a hospital for observation for a few days to see how they react to it. We hear this all to often, tragedies happening after someone’s meds are changed.
The problem is that to find the right medications, it’s well let’s try this for a month and see how it goes. There is no support for people in crisis- very few beds or drs. There definitely isn’t support for people trying to manage day to day trying to find the correct medication. Maybe you have family that cares for you, maybe you live alone. It’s just cross your fingers and make another appointment for a month from now. Psychiatrists really are just fancy pharmacists. They aren’t going to give you counseling. I’m surprised things like this don’t happen more often. There simply is not care available at any level unless you are extremely wealthy, maybe? People tend to blame people “off their meds”, but it is no where near that simple.

It would be super easy to do, but the "creator" for this channel doesn't actually do anything. They file FOIA requests to get this footage, then they spend an hour on Google looking up basic info on the case. Then they write their script, which is just a couple paragraphs of surface level "analysis" spread out over the interrogation footage. Notice how the narrator only speaks once every 10-15 mins, and all it says is shit like "The suspect is angry, this is made clear by him yelling at the detective. People often yell to express their anger." Then they feed this brilliant script to an AI voice program and that's the "narrator" I mentioned. These videos take less than 2 hours to make, I guarantee it. Even the subtitles in the video were done by the police station, not the brilliant creatives here on "Stranger Stories" 😂

I'm tired and hungry, I'm mentally ill, poor little man child. A covert narcissist, crawling slowly out of the closet.. I'm no psychologist but I can smell a personality disorder from a mile away. This was a tedious and challenging video to watch. Great police work, patient and concise.
People use the word narcissist far too easily it’s a bit more complex than just an egotistical and self-centered man child with anger management issues. As a research psychologist I’m so tired of hearing it pop up everywhere. Not everyone has a mental health disorder actually the majority of people don’t. Depression nor major depression is not a disorder ,clinical is different, it’s a temporary illness that can be solved with medication in conjunction with proper mental health professionals. The main issue is that very GP hands them out without having them seek proper help to overcome their problems while the medication gives them a temporary lift until it’s properly resolved. That unfortunately barely happens so the depression just keeps dragging on. This current generation is so spoiled, self-centred, yet lost and without much purpose, and antagonistic. It’s almost an epidemic in the western world. But it eventually will wear off. They just mature much later than the previous generations. A narcissist is someone who cannot fathom that not everyone is 24/7 occupied thinking about them, they are master manipulators and incredibly insidious in undermining others confidence, self-esteem and trust in themselves. There is no god but them and everyone should know that, they also believe they are infallible and highly intelligent ,most are mediocre. They are incapable of empathy yet often have a low self esteem themselves which fulfills the circle of their need of constant admiration and attention. Just because someone is a selfish bastard doesn’t mean they are all of the above. They also always believe they don’t live on their appropriate level in society or have the job that they should have as they so rightly deserve. Example People who go into incredible debt by piling up credit cards, mortgages on top of the original mortgage loan money from their family members and when it all comes tumbling down they then kill everyone connected to their shame ( immediate families) or kill to get the insurance they need and deserve..because the person who had the insurance isn’t worthy of them anyway. That’s a narcissist. Could give you a smaller example rather than the outlier….but you didn’t come here to read my lesson 😂😂 I was just grumpy…literally 5 different channels and every single story had multiple comments screaming narcissists, or psychopath or sociopath (the majority of people don’t even know the difference between them), borderline, bipolar most have a basic idea but that’s all and it’s used as a catch call to distance themselves between them and the weirdos…or mentally ill. Gosh, you must think I’m a twit an educated twit but nevertheless. I m sorry I just needed to vent it’s been quite the week. See why I get ticked off at people throwing mental health disorders and diagnoses around as if they all got their PHD at high school graduation? Hmm, hope you had a great Christmas and wish you a happy new year, and thank you for listening…feel a lot better now.
@@Ainaes-Felineit has zero to do with the current generation. Humans have been like this since the beginning of time. They didn’t put the heads of the executed on spikes on Tower Bridge in Tudor-era England because they were somehow more mature than we are now. Also, major depression is absolutely a clinical disorder. Using “depression” in a colloquial manner is when it is different. I don’t personally enjoy the flippant manner in which people use psychiatric terminology in everyday conversations - it muddies the waters for people with actual problems. But it’s also important to note that starting a new medication can have dire consequences. People can act out of selfishness and blame it on meds, but meds can 100% make a monster of someone who never before displayed monstrous tendencies. I’ve experienced the havoc caused by side effects firsthand and witnessed it in others firsthand. It can be extreme. In this case, he’s clearly trying not to talk about what happened. Unsurprising for anyone, really. But a new medication isn’t inconsequential in someone exhibiting extreme behavior. He has no history of trouble and no criminal record. That alone makes it worth noting. Could he be malingering? Maybe. But it doesn’t mean he doesn’t have severe mental health issues.

Depression IS a clinical disorder; being depressed is not unless and until it persists and/or worsens. As someone that is working on their road rage. This is one of the many eye opening events to this type of response. This actually happened to me earlier this morning and it was an emergency vehicle trying to get by, damn truck kept inching so i couldn't get over. Normally I would've cut them off, probably brake checked and gave them the finger. But I instead just found another way to get over. Watching these types of videos of the consequences that come from things like this and coaching myself through the frustration of being an angry driver and dealing with other angry drivers is not worth my life. someone else's. Learning my triggers, staying out of speed lanes and slowing down, leaving for places with more than enough time has helped so much.A lady told me to strive for the patience to think twice, you never want to make a split second decision that if you stopped for 5 more seconds you would've made a different choice. This poor woman and children didn't deserve such a heartless act. I hope their families find healing, others that deal with anger while driving it's never to late to think twice, we never know who we're on the road with, obviously never an excuse for people's actions but somebpeople dont care and need a reason to snap. Asf a society blindly trust and hope the the people next to us and around us are stable enough want to harm us be we never know.
Good job working on being more patient. I drive for a living and people are morons. I yell in the privacy of my car usually just to vent. Sometime, if their behavior is consistently unsafe I'll call the cops. That's my ultimate form of road rage. 😂
that was good advice. i also experimented with slowing down, driving in slow lane, leaving earlier; it was like being in a different reality! a calm one🙂
I didnt read past the first sentence you wrote but i know everything about you. Youre one of the reasons why i dont drive at all! Sharing the road with people like you is HELL and is not worth the trouble. Have fun 'controlling' your road rage while im on the bus.
This is so sad.. He is broken, mentally.. And broken things don't work the way they themselves even want to.. ☮️🌏 edit.. Just like your body, your mind is a physical system, so mental problems have just as much of a physical effect on your physical behaviour as a broken leg does..
My two grown sons were standing off to the side at the airport. Some guy wandered up and tried to pick a fight. The boys moved on and stopped at security to tell them some man - not a derelict but looked fairly well dressed and had attempted to create a fuss - but he was barely coherent so they thought he was drunk or on drugs. You never know when or where CRAZY is waiting to make your life heck.
as a severly bipolar guy that has taken 100 meds and lost jobs for some of them, this is hard to watch. not saying it excuses it. this is what therapists are for, but there have been times in my life that i was 1 bad decision away from where he is. and hell go to prison and get worse, and we will all pay for it in blood ansd treasure
Had plenty of friends just like you, it’s up the family and friends to watch out for you and make sure you don’t put yourselves in situations like this. Everyone needs someone looking out for them.
He's anti-social. He blames everything and everyone else. Look up Borderline Personality Disorder one of the characteristics is that they fly into a rage. I don't think this guy is bipolar I think he is flat all the time until he explodes. Read what I wrote above. And I'm so glad you made it...and didn't make that decision. I've been mentally ill, my mother was murdered. And I think she at times was mentally ill too. We all have issues. It's impossible to live a whole life without going a little bit crazy here and there. Glad you are here with us.
I have several friends with bipolar. Also some ex friends. The difference is which ones are actively trying to keep it under control. It sounds like you would fall into the friend category. Keep up the good work. I don't have bipolar, but I have PTSD and depression with dissociation. It's been really bad lately and I actually called today to get in tomorrow with my psych because I know I need an adjustment. It's hard enough staying on top of what I have. I can't imagine trying to handle bipolar.
So he can hold down a job doing construction, can drive a car but wants to use metal illness as his excuse for a temper tantrum? What was he even doing with a weapon to begin with if he has bipolar???? He clearly knew the police would be after him.
I've been clinically diagnosed with bipolar and several other mental health issues and I struggle with it every minute of everyday. So i understand fully what that's all.about. I can also say confidently that taking a medicine one time the night before doesn't turn someone into a delusional killer. I can also clearly see this at he's putting on ao cam the detective. Notice how he's answering EVERYTHING else while being very careful not to answer or make a statement that is incriminating. Which proves he's not out of his mind. He's portraying symptoms of like 3+ different mental issues which makes nonsense. A person doesn't remember everything except for tracking a mother and her kids down to a dentist office, shooting all of them and killing one. Just doesn't happen. It makes me irate when someone attempts to use bipolar for such egregious crimes such as this, almost mocking the condition by attempting to play a role in which they think! Someone with bipolar acts and it's def not like this. Yes some symptoms he's hitting on but overall not even close.
I was thinking the same thing. He's pretty responsive to other things but when it comes to the crimes he just shuts down and doesn't want to answer anything like a child caught doing the wrong thing. He knows what he did and is in shock at the reality of what comes next. I don't know of anyone suffering with bi polar being so articulate about how they knew they were having a psychosis episode. Giving off schizophrenic symptoms mixed with ADHD symptoms and personality disorders
@@milkymilk53 This is how my ex worked. She would show symptoms of Psychosis during fits of bipolar disorder. She could seem almost normal one minute and completely off the rails the next. His behavior is exactly like hers. She would get into car accidents and not even remember being on the street. She would have no memory afterward. You will always stop your meds. You will always do things you would never do... It is just a fact. The only way they can live a somewhat normal life is to be closely watched. Especially during an episode.
@@stephenmonchak104 then she probably had more going on than bi polar, iirc psychosis comes from different illnesses. I had an ex the same, but she had borderline personality disorder coupled with bi polar symptoms, and a friend of mine also diagnosed with bipolar but would have psychotic episodes and it was due to schizotypal disorder. I'm sure your ex wasn't completely lucid and able to articulate how they were currently experiencing a psychotic episode
What bothers me is that he is consciously aware that he mistakes reality and dream. And that his dreams are violent yet continues to keep a gun at hand. That's just not right.
That's the point, why do you expect someone who is unsure what is real and what is not, to be able to make a rational decision about carrying a gun. I would be more concerned about how he got a gun in the first place.
I was feeling a little sorry for him until I read the information on the incident…. After having words with the mother he said he was leaving and then noticed her videoing his car, that pissed him off and that’s when he decided to shoot her, then he tried to start his car, it wouldn’t start, he paced around and then started shooting again! Edit - he gave the appearance of someone in deep mental anguish at first…. I thought 💭 holy hell did they start him on a new medicine and it have an extremely adverse effect? So, I googled the story and read numerous articles, including the prosecutions and the psychologist findings! I almost believed him for a second! Almost!
I understand the people saying “how did you feel sorry for him” but then I understand you because of how he is literally saying how he tries to get help and he takes multiple pills a day that’s supposed to help him. I also know how some therapist can be “oh you’re depressed? I’m gonna just give you these pills and a coloring book to help.”
Weird how he talks and pieces things together perfectly fine whenever he’s talking about mitigating factors or things not associated with murdering people
If this isn’t a case of severe mental illness I don’t know what is. Anyone who suffers with mental illness and/or disease can spot this immediately. God bless the poor family that came across him at the worst possible time. New meds the day before so that is a huge red flag. He needed to be hospitalized to keep others safe.
I’ve known a number of people with pretty serious mental health problems and they were always put in a Behavioral Health Unit to adjust their medications. I wonder if he was under diagnosed or if he’s just a bipolar a-hole? A little of both?
Well, so that is the current debate about the 2nd amendment. Jeremy did not have a criminal record, so legally he could buy a gun. But if he was under a psychotherapist's care, they are constrained by HIPAA laws to not divulge private, confidential patient information unless they suspect a criminal act has been or will be committed. But this is a gray area, left to the discretion of the doctor, and it is a slippery slope. Laws also vary from state to state. Look up Tarasoff and Tarasoff II. Also look up the case of John McGuire of Connecticut. Who makes this decision? A delivery person?
This interrogator is the most annoying I have ever heard, by a long shot. Dude, you have asked the same question 4 million times in 4 million ways, he doesn't know, he only eventually repeats the words you feed to him back to you to shut you up, as would anyone with a life.
There was a priest who once said that he has ppl who have called him because they say they think they're possessed, and the priest said, "If you can consciously Google your symptoms and consciously and actively call me, you're not possessed. Possession is when your consciousness is no longer under *your* control." And this guy, even though he may be diagnosed with a mental disorder, he is not possessed.
You can have another personality take over while you look and act almost normal. He's talking about active possession, where you're growling and crawling on the ceiling on all fours. You can call it obsession or being overshadowed. But you've still got demons, or dead people, or something making you do things. That priest did them a disservice. Also, the intelligence agencies have ways of controlling thoughts and actions. Look it up. It's real.
@@ryanramel604 There's one case where a man who's name is John Bell, he was born in 1750 and died December 19, 1820. In 1817, John Bell had contracted a mysterious affliction that worsened over a 3 year span of time, and ultimately causing his death. Google it.
Notice how he said he said he probably would have gone on his way if he didn’t have a gun. How many less people would die if not everyone had a damn gun 😢
I’m glad the jury didn’t buy his not guilty by reason of insanity defense. He was found guilty of 1st degree murder plus many other things. The news article I read said the young boy who died was cowering with his hands up but this sicko walked directly to him and point blank shot the poor kid in the head. My condolences to everyone involved except for Jeremy.
Yeah, i was thinking psychosis, but he wouldnt be this careful with his words. Yes, confusion, but if he is able to talk this long and not replay outloud with tears, i cant buy it. I just want to convince myself it was mental illness because i just cannot think why else someone would randomly be so savage. Someone should have told him not to ever have a gun.
@@jackielove2737 You want to believe it, but you can't because in this case it's NOT mental health. So we should do our best to stop confusing the two.
The cops were trying to disprove that right away by asking him if he knew right from wrong and all of that. He disqualified himself with most of that part of the conversation. They knew he did it but they were trying to avoid a successful insanity defense. They succeeded.
Words should never lead to death. Especially since she went on about her business. The fact that he followed her and got out and killed her and injured/killed her children says to me that yes he has mental issues but still did wrong and knows better. I pray that he received life in prison.
Jeremy: "All of this has happened in my dreams over and over again . . ." Detective: "OK, so tell me about what happened." Jeremy: "I just can't remember anything."

Who sold a gun to a young person with documented mental health issues?
Honestly I don't accept mental health issues as valid arguments 99% of the time. The fact is some one chooses to commit an action, and if they really are so out of control that they can't prevent themselves or otherwise in a mental state you could consider them responsible for the actions, that's also a very good reason to remove them from the public.

Bipolar people are time bombs that always go off. That's why they are diagnosed as Bipolar
He’s as evil as they come. Needs to be in prison forever
Huge cocktails of meds will do that to people@@pale_saint
Someone with the kind of issues that this dude has, and is on the types of mind altering medications that he is on should not have access to a firearm

Having bi-polar disorder myself, this is a sobering video. I've experienced the 'third person' viewpoint before in a high stress situation that triggered a fight or flight. It's very much like watching yourself on the screen of a movie theater; no control, no emotion. Just reaction in the most extreme sense. Everyone is right in saying you shouldn't be confrontational with strangers. You never know what they are going through, suffering from, or what and how they'll react to escalating stress situations.

This has very little to do with being bipolar/manic depressive. This is a case where a guy with road rage let his anger get the best of him and now he's trying to play "mentally ill" as a defense because he think he can get off by reason of insanity.
Big facts 💯

Example
People who go into incredible debt by piling up credit cards, mortgages on top of the original mortgage loan money from their family members and when it all comes tumbling down they then kill everyone connected to their shame ( immediate families) or kill to get the insurance they need and deserve..because the person who had the insurance isn’t worthy of them anyway.

@@BookishDark In fact there are robust studies that show that young people attending the same colleges as same-age students tested in previous generations are showing significantly higher levels of narcissistic traits overall, by the same tests.
Congrats on learning on how to not act like a 3 year old when someone steals your parking spot.
I feel quite lucky I don't live in a country where a person like him is allowed a firearm.
Good luck with your government 😂😂

This video should be renamed "Detectives Realize Jeremy is Sane"
NO REMORSE EITHER !
And the Oscar for playing dumb goes to Jeremy Webster.. he knows exactly what he did!!
I didn't realize we had a licensed psychologist in the chat, nice!
No license needed to detect BS like this. My beagle could do it.
This is so sad..
He is broken, mentally..
And broken things don't work the way they themselves even want to.. ☮️🌏
edit.. Just like your body, your mind is a physical system, so mental problems have just as much of a physical effect on your physical behaviour as a broken leg does..
He is mentally ill, it matters not if he is acting or not, he will never be free again.
@@barbaramay1866 you are the person that cheers on the police every time they kill a mentally ill homeless person.
Everyone needs someone looking out for them.
this is what gun background checks are for
Lucky you didn’t have a gun in your hand when you were feeling that way. If only that we’re true for this guy, too.
He looks very little an harmless here in the interrogation room. Put him behind a wheel with a gun and he was a monster. Spooky.
Offspring - Bad Habit
So he can hold down a job doing construction, can drive a car but wants to use metal illness as his excuse for a temper tantrum? What was he even doing with a weapon to begin with if he has bipolar???? He clearly knew the police would be after him.
These detectives are extremely patient. I wouldn't be as patient. NO WAY!
And wtf did he have a gun?!
Psychosis can.
This interrogator is next level, the way he always kept in charge while remaining patient, and focused, one of the best I have seen.
Judge threw the whole printing press at him Damn!!!😂
What bothers me is that he is consciously aware that he mistakes reality and dream. And that his dreams are violent yet continues to keep a gun at hand. That's just not right.
That's the point, why do you expect someone who is unsure what is real and what is not, to be able to make a rational decision about carrying a gun. I would be more concerned about how he got a gun in the first place.
@@MaureenBruce-g1s they tell you he bought it at a pawnshop
@@MaureenBruce-g1she got it legally at a pawn shop
That's because he is lying.
Maybe he’s as scared as we are…
The long beeps to cover names will leave me partially deaf, thanks lol
Almost!
how were you feeling a little sorry for him regardless of the extra information tho?
Wait why did you feel sorry first him to begin with?
What ? Almost felt sorry for him 🤔 how in the world 😱
I understand the people saying “how did you feel sorry for him” but then I understand you because of how he is literally saying how he tries to get help and he takes multiple pills a day that’s supposed to help him. I also know how some therapist can be “oh you’re depressed? I’m gonna just give you these pills and a coloring book to help.”
@@KodaPie-y5qyes we have the absolute worst mental health care.
Weird how he talks and pieces things together perfectly fine whenever he’s talking about mitigating factors or things not associated with murdering people
8:53 nah it's not bipolar disorder. I hate when people make those associations because it creates a stigma. He's just crazy
I agree. I'm not sure he was properly handled in the end
I’ve known a number of people with pretty serious mental health problems and they were always put in a Behavioral Health Unit to adjust their medications. I wonder if he was under diagnosed or if he’s just a bipolar a-hole? A little of both?
Totally agree
Should have never shut down the asylums.
Not buying it. The new meds were an excuse. An excuse that didn't save him from ending up exactly where he belonged.
If he had an anger related past how come he was allowed to have a gun?😮
Well, so that is the current debate about the 2nd amendment. Jeremy did not have a criminal record, so legally he could buy a gun. But if he was under a psychotherapist's care, they are constrained by HIPAA laws to not divulge private, confidential patient information unless they suspect a criminal act has been or will be committed. But this is a gray area, left to the discretion of the doctor, and it is a slippery slope. Laws also vary from state to state. Look up Tarasoff and Tarasoff II. Also look up the case of John McGuire of Connecticut. Who makes this decision? A delivery person?
Almost everyone in the US can own a gun. It's so reckless
America
This interrogator is the most annoying I have ever heard, by a long shot. Dude, you have asked the same question 4 million times in 4 million ways, he doesn't know, he only eventually repeats the words you feed to him back to you to shut you up, as would anyone with a life.
There was a priest who once said that he has ppl who have called him because they say they think they're possessed, and the priest said, "If you can consciously Google your symptoms and consciously and actively call me, you're not possessed. Possession is when your consciousness is no longer under *your* control."
And this guy, even though he may be diagnosed with a mental disorder, he is not possessed.
Yea. Because that’s a real thing. Possession is a huge problem in this country.
What a tragic story… 😢
I completely agree with you.
So you think he is not insane? A guy who killed a kid that covered itself and was no danger. But he is sane? You are all so inteligent it hurts.
Words should never lead to death. Especially since she went on about her business. The fact that he followed her and got out and killed her and injured/killed her children says to me that yes he has mental issues but still did wrong and knows better. I pray that he received life in prison.
This is why I don’t shoot my mouth off to random asshole drivers. She cocked off to someone she shouldn’t have.
They said his sentence at the end of the video...
Jeremy: "All of this has happened in my dreams over and over again . . ."
Detective: "OK, so tell me about what happened."
Jeremy: "I just can't remember anything."
I live in Colorado and never heard of this case. So sad those boys lives will never be the same.
I knew it was an anger issue after the 2nd officer walked in the room.
The interviews of those who witnessed the killings are heart wrenching
Oh dear god! I havent even gotten to the actual interrogation and i already know hes an unstable psychopath. Just imagining what he did to that poor family gives me chills.
