You've got to see this performance on Soul Train...its here on TH-cam. The brass section are great dancers! The lead singer is Jeffrey Osborne who went solo and made the famous hit song, On Th Wings of Love"...he has a wonderful voice!
Lead singer Jeffrey Osborne is one of my favorite male singers. Great voice. He had many hits as a solo artist. Bringing back many memories here. Thanks for sharing.
From the mid to late 70s the funk was laying the groove down...Commodores, Kool and the Gang, Ohio Players, Earth,Wind & Fire, the Brothers Johnson, Funkadelic etc. kept everyone on the floor
" WALKING IN RHYTHM " - By THE BLACK BYRDS 1974 this song is a perfect blend of Funk / Soul / Motown and very soulful vocals with an incredible sound so groovy it will make you wanna dance to this beautiful Rhythm
'Rhythm' is like my favorite Los Angeles song... Radio Stations play it all the time out there, and it works so perfectly with that balmy, sexy weather, and palm trees
I remember buying this one on a 45 back in the 70's and I think that I got this one and I listened to it probably 5 or 6 times in a row!!! I love the song and it brings back memories from back in a time that I would give anything to go back and relive again more than anything. And if I could go back to 70 I would hopefully save a lot of people's lives for the sake of music by being able to warn them that they need to watch out on taking so many and so much drugs and alcohol together because if they didn't they would not live past 27 years old and that there were so many people who want them to be around so we could enjoy their music for a lifetime together. God bless all of the people who have lost their lives early and didn't get to live life the way they should have.
I'm a 65-year-old Black man and I'm still singing and grooving to this song🎶👍🏽 Jeffrey Osborne is the lead singer of this group. We call him the Woo Woo Woo man 😂✌🏽
The music of my generation is the best in the history of man! The mid 60s through the early 80s will never be duplicated. Can someone please create a time machine?
"Yes" We have our standard model that about $10,000,000, then we have our deluxe model that I know you're gonna love at a discount price of just $47,000,000 and it also comes in three different colors to choose from! 🔴🟢🔵
@@williamgreco3046 Glad you asked! We'll be getting our first ones in shortly. There's been a real demand for them due to the Michael J. Fox movie. Back orders are through the roof!🚗
Jeffrey Osborne is their lead singer. You have done him twice as a solo artist. First "Stay With Me Tonight" and more recently "On The Wings Of Love". Great singer!!
This is a group I don’t believe you’ve listened to yet and they definitely have a great catalog of music… What a group to see live in their show back in the 70s! Hope you continue to react to them😊
You now have to check out lead singer, Jeffrey Osborne's solo career... On the Wings of Love, You Should Be Mine (The Woo Woo Song), Stay with Me Tonight
I LOVE watching you Both Chair Dancing, and loving my era (67) of Music!!! LTD was amazing! Slow or Fast, they always ranked near or at the Top. Excellent Choice!!!
Omg! This takes me back to when I was young. I had a favorite Auntie and when she came over we'd play Soul Train. I remember this being one of the songs! She always said that she had danced on S.T. for about 6 months. Now that I'm older I think that was just a story. It's hard to believe that she's been gone for almost 30 years now - murdered by her abusive boyfriend! Continue to R.I.P Auntie C.C.
This was a monster hit for them. It's still popular in some Dance Clubs. This is back when Jeffery Osbourne was the Lead Singer. Check out his hit "On the Wings of Love".
OH MAN....this song brings back some awesome memories from when i was a kid. Our next-door neighbors in our apartment in Oakland were brothers and they played in a band. They never minded this 8 year old white kid sitting on their couch listening to them practice for hours all the time. Between my mom and these kind, cool guys i was exposed to such great pop/funk/r&b artists. I'd completely forgot about those two brothers and sitting on their couch as a boy. Great memory! AWESOME video as always. You two are such a great force for good!
Jeffrey Osbourne, the singer in LTD , had a pretty good solo career after leaving this band. I think you did some of his solo stuff. React to his "You Should Be Mine (The Woo Woo Song)" next. Thanks. 😎
As a trumpet player, as part of being a multi-instrumentalist, glad you shouted out the horn section for sure. I love this kind of music for this exact reason. And really for all of it. I loved this song so much when it came out when I was in junior high. And later I bought the extended dance mix EP, which stood for Extended Play, meaning longer than a single but still moving at the same speed of 45 rpm. But it was approaching or oftentimes equal to the size of a 33 RPM LP, or Long Play. Which could hold up to about 20 minutes per side. Not only did me and my friends play the hell out of this, it got played at so many parties I went to over the next few years. I could listen to this song over and over and always be happy with it.
This song guaranteed an instant rush to both the dance and the skate floor at the club I hung out at back in the day. About the same time, Peter Brown hit with "Do You Wanna Get Funky With Me" (a gritty funk groove) and "Dance With Me" (an upbeat dance record that kept the floor hot) which were big radio and dance hits.
I loved this 1977 disco song so much that I bought the single and played it over and over when I was in middle school. Loved doing the Hustle to it. Bought a single of Donna Summer's "I Feel Love" at the same time. This song goes together in my mind with Bell and James's hit 1979 disco song "Livin It Up."
Yeah, that was the jam back in the day! LTD (Love Togetherness and Devotion) was a great band You guys can check out "Holding On" and "We Both Deserve Each Other's Love". Jeffrey Osbourne was also a great lead singer with plenty of solo hits!
Back in Love Again" was their biggest pop hit, peaking at number 1 on the Billboard Soul singles chart and number 4 on the Billboard Pop charts. The single also reached number 19 on the disco charts. The next LTD songs to review are “We Both Deserve Each Other’s Love” and “ Where Did We Go Wrong”.
LTD is an excellent choice with Jeffery Osborne as the lead singer , you really need to check out CONCENTRATE ON YOU and WE BOTH DESERVE EACH OTHERS LOVE …
My mom used to throw down to this song on the dance floor! 🙂 My dad tried, but he was _not_ a good dancer. He still boxed with the air whenever the song played. 😅
It’s strange, but, even though I haven’t heard this song in decades, every once in a while, it will just pop into my mind and I’ll start singing it. Most songs don’t do that, so there’s something special about this one.
The first time I heard this song was when it played during the opening scenes of a 2000 Disney Channel original movie called "The Color of Friendship" (it's based on the true story of a white South African exchange student who comes to live with congressman Ron Dellums and his family in 1977). The movie is one of my favorites, and this song quickly cemented itself into my brain! 🎶🎵🎶🎵
Thanks again for the great music . Here's a couple of suggestions for L T D Won't'cha Stay With Me (1977).
