Been in Da Nang in 2018. The city is amazing. Modern but still cozy. Loved the Bana Hills and the Golden Bridge
was in Da Nang last year and loved it! We also rented bikes from Tuan so it was nice to see him again !

Great video, Gabi! I went to Marble Mountain which is south of the main city of Danang, but never went in Danang in 2008. I was in Hue and Hoian, but missed Danang. It is a great city, love the dragon show! Looks like you got wet!
Great video. I am in Danang now and so far, for early September, the weather is still really good - sunny and hot with thunderstorms late afternoon but not for long. I see Hong Kong got hammered with flooding yesterday so I expect my luck to run out soon. I have been here in July and it was exactly like you said - sunny and hot everyday. February was the first time I came her and it was perfectly sunny and hot and less humid. It can cool off here during monsoon in the Fall, unlike Ho Chi Minh further south - I have been here in late December when the temp has dipped to low 20's.
I was stationed there in the US AIR FORCE 54 years ago. What a wonderful change. Sea snakes in the water. Deadly.

You know, it would really help if you make a short video explaining the amenities in Da Nang like: best supermarket, best apps for food delivery, taxi, banking and so on. And how does the prices compare to Thailand, even a short condo rental review. That would really help, if you can actually do something like that... anyway many thanks!! have a wonderful time
Everything is cheaper here than Thailand. My brand new 4 star hotel with breakfast and an ocean view cost me $230 Canadian for the week on Agoda - unbelievable! I would pay more for that for one night in Canada. I rented a brand new 125cc Honda scooter for three weeks and it cost me 2.3 million dong - about $5.50 Canadian a day! I rented a brand new apartment for a month near the beach last year for $500 cad but you can easily find places for $350 for the month if you don't mind a short walk to the beach. Or you can even stay in hotels for the same month for similar prices - which is great if you want to move around between Danang and Hoi An. I got a 10 day stay on the great An Bang beach near Hoi An for $278 cad including breakfast and the place has a 4.9 out of 5 rating. I don't think Thailand can beat that.

We shudda been here 2021, but covid stopped that, so now planning on coming 2024 May and July also visiting Hoi An ,Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh ❤ can't wait.

DaNang was great back in 2019, stayed near Dragon Bridge both sides, night market was huge. Sunworld DaNang Wonders just up the street has rides and seafood buffet for 200k per person (2019).
Likewise a day visit to Ba Na Hills was incredible. Good food, good people, good memories. You will enjoy Hue too, we rode the train. Hue city center is really nice as was the the Citadel. Enjoy
We were just in Da Nang and we loved it. The people were friendly, food was yummy and great value and the hotel was cheap for a beachfront property. This brings back so many great memories. Highly recommended!!

You should have ordered com tam, which was also on the menu where you ate the banh mi. Go on a food tour in Danang and Hue if they offer them. Eat at the seafood restaurant "Flora and Note" ate at recently in Danang as Flora who is a cook/chef (?) said it was probably the best thing she ever ate. When in Hue, check out the place "Chase and Shelbs" ate at.

Going to Thailand on 20.09. and i got 2 months to travel. Should i go to da nang in october or not because of the rain? I have been there before and enjoyed it. Any other places in Asia you would recommend, also for snorkeling and good weather :)

its actually not confirmed at all that you can easily do visa run anymore with the new system after 90 days..some people expect it will not be the case. we will have to wait for an official announcement.

Just want to ask about the weather in August. Is it talrable please. I will stay for 3 weeks. What are ur recomendation
May, June, July, August are very hot & humid. November, December and January are very nice (cool weather). Avoid September and October (heavy rainy season) :)
Would love to visit but afraid to ride a scooter. Is the public bus transportation any good?

Re: Beach in Danang... Dude. Looks like you're the only one there. Rows and rows of empty beach lounge thingys. I guess that's ok if you're looking for solitude, but not exactly a great scenario for making new friends.
To me, that's an advantage because you get the beach, sun, waves, and all that scenery to yourself. Plus, if you want to see more people, go at sunrise or sunset as that's when it gets really crowded.
Believe me- the lounge chairs fill up. On national holidays it’s busy. Weekend is busy. Monday- Thursday it’s less busy. Also- the majority of Vietnamese go to the beach starting at 5:30-6 am and get their swimming done by 8 am.
Then the beach is mostly empty again until 3 pm .
3 pm to after sunset is when people are active on the beach

I know a swimmer named Tuan at China Beach. Always says 2 1 to pronounce name. He was part of South Vietnamese army and spent a lot of time in rivers. Other swimmers, they’re old, spent time surfing in mosquito infested break at San Blas to avoid being sent to Vietnam.

Coming to Da Nang in early 2024 and found your videos to be very informative. I also want to rent a scooter to drive the outskirts of Da Nang. Is it true that they keep your passport or ID for the entire rental period? Don't hotels keep your passport? What did you use?
