This was absolutely amazing! I have to animate water ripples on a lake for my art final and was SO lost 😫 Now I feel super confident after doing these exercises! Thank you so much!
Thankyou so much, but as long as it remains possible to do so, I'll be releasing all my tutorial content for free here on TH-cam. I don't want to charge people for my content. I do have several multi-episode series on the channels that go into details for motion graphics and animation so make sure to check them out. If you'd like to support the channel in other ways (and get shoutouts in my videos to say thankyou) it would really mean the world to me if you'd consider becoming a member of the channel here! It'll help keep TipTut alive (and free) for a long time! th-cam.com/channels/YK0C3K9RYJIN0iKo8i8CIw.htmljoin
Thank you so much for making this video! I really needed to learn this principle for a project! Also your channel is super cool, I already subscribed ✨
Thank you very much for this video!! I have to animate a flag, but can't use the "Wave warp" effect (After Effects) because it's gonna be a Lottie File. I need to do it manually and I was SO lost, so thanks for this ♥
Everything! At the peak of a wave, your object might squash or stretch based on the direction, speed and forces applied to it. If it's being dragged it will stretch on the way down a wave. If it's being pushed, it will squash on the way up etc.

"this is what happens when you do animation, you go ever so slightly insane. but that's okay, we don't mind"
words to live by. 100% accurate.
So helpful, thank you for this tutorial! Wave principle has always been a challenge, and your technique finally cracked it for me. Big props!
Glad it helped!
absolutely loved this tutorial! Thank you so much!
This is such a well made tutorial. You explain clearly what the principle is and provide helpful examples showing how to put the principle to use.
Thankyou so much!

Happy to help!
Wave aninated with Object image ..?? How do it...??
You'll find out when this video airs tomorrow!
What can the wave principles of animation have to do with squash and stretch animation principles?
Everything! At the peak of a wave, your object might squash or stretch based on the direction, speed and forces applied to it. If it's being dragged it will stretch on the way down a wave. If it's being pushed, it will squash on the way up etc.
I’m having a hard time applying this principal to a cape from a front view
I animate exactly that in my Animation in Photoshop series if that helps! th-cam.com/video/vqg9D2QW5H0/w-d-xo.html
