This channel is re-kindling my love of The Thrift. Thank you! In the past 2 weeks since watching (for inspiration), I've gone back into some of my favorite stores and found so many things- several pairs of shoes that I really actually needed, a brilliant vest and some great work clothes that I also really needed to keep me warm at work coming into winter, and even an amazing 80's black leather coat for $5 that I'm in love with. I've passed by a few things that I was like, "I am pretty sure Laura would have picked this up." But, since I'm not a reseller, I left them on the shelf for others. Maybe one day! OMG. I have that partridge in a pair tree trivet. Someone gave it to my mother as a gift in the late 80s early 90’s and now it has a place of honour behind my stove. I hope someone else loves it. ❤

I agree with you when decorating with vintage finds. You can not find everything you love in one store. It takes time and patience to really find good quality items. My decor style is mid century mix with 1970's decor and antiques. Last week I found 3 nightstands Saltman walnut smoked glass danish from 1960 at Goodwill. I looked them up on line and they go from 500-700 dlls each! I found 3 almost perfect condition for 9.99 for all of them. I could not believe my eyes when I saw them. BTW I still have a gift for you I found in Mexico. It is in my back seat of my car so if I ever see you again I will give it to you.

So fun about the "We're going to paint immediately!" Mom & I moved into a 1963 vintage house with its original harvest gold appliances 😑 & carpet, plus the avocado green hall carpet ... "These have to go!" And of course, it took a few years before they did go. Once I started watching your channel, Laura, I regretted swapping out the teak hanging fixture in the entry ... hopefully it ended up with someone who loved it.
Personally lamp with earth tones with floral pattern is too granny for that space 🥴🤯😳 love your style...that lamp is a no go. You could paint over it. See big brass modern lamps that dangle or hang over big chair. So thrilled about your new app 🤗🙌👍👏
