My first time fishing San Fransisco Bay with OAKLAND ANGLERS

First time fishing for Halibut and Striped Bass in San Fransisco Bay with Oakland Anglers fishing charters. We had a blast and caught lots of fish! I highly recommend this crew and boat!

Those are my old home waters. I used the same rig, single nose hooked anchovy with just enough weight to hold bottom. When I'd get the first bite I'd feed out a little line and wait for it to go tight then lift the rod tip. Lot's of fun. Can't wait to get on some Central Coast Hali.

How is it here vs Morro Bay for halibut? Which do you prefer?

Good question. More quantity up there, more consistent quality if you can find them here but it’s open ocean in morro bay. These trips are easier with their late riser options. Another thing to consider is limit is 3 up there for now and 5 for morro bay
