How great Halibut from a Dock , greetings from Vancouver BC , we need a boat for those up here, But w3 can catch Salmon from the shore in many areas around the Vancouver metro area , great video
I was using a sabiki rig tipped with shrimp. I had to cut off a few of the hooks from the prepackaged sabiki because there is a 3 hook limit inside the bay. Cast nets are a great option, but rude to the fisherman around you
Yes, luckily the halibut are guests in the bay and spend most of their life in the ocean. They follow large schools of bait into the bay and corner them in the shallow water.
These people are eating deformed fish from these dirty waters and you can clearly see the effects when this dude is calling out for a net. The people move so slow and can't even use the net properly... don't eat these fish lol
Love the tension! Real life pier life...🤙
Thank you! Was a wild day

What kind of shiners are those? And are were they caught by cast net?
Perch. Caught them on a drop shot rig with a small piece of shrimp
Is this pier good for early season Hali?
The bite normally starts more to the north. Best of luck out there.
Wow, great vid! New sub! 🙂🎣
Thank you 👊
But, are the fish from the Bay edible?
Yes, luckily the halibut are guests in the bay and spend most of their life in the ocean. They follow large schools of bait into the bay and corner them in the shallow water.
Im going here for the first time this weekend!. Is the parking lot right next to the pier? Also is their alot of spaces and do we have to pay?
There is a parking lot a short walk away from the pier that is free to park. Best of luck out there
Do you need fishing license on that spot?
no fishing license required to fish this spot. best of luck!
6 min: OH MAN, NET FLUB! 9 min: nice job netting. It is a bit like docking with the ISS.
The wind and current definitely made that trip interesting
14:00 200 yards out? 😂😂😂
😂😂 a joke since he is balloon fishing
A single j hook on those live bait will get you a lot better result
Thank you! Will have to give that a shot
Super frustrating man... ya'all should agree on netting duties prior to fishing...
Everyone was still setting up and worrying about rigging or catching bait when I hooked up. Definitely not an ideal situation
No one worried about car break ins there, there's a lot of shady people passing through that area
I think everyone is worried about that. I left nothing behind. Best of luck out there
Always net your self. Cant depend on others and Definitely can't get upset at the netter lol
The wind and current were wild that day. I understand what you mean, would’ve been nice to have help from my friends
He absolutely took his time and wanted that fish to come off.
It’s a rough crowd at that pier 🤷♂️😂
🐟
🎣
Nice way to burn a spot 😢
You think so?
@@BetterOddsFishing I know so that’s just the way it goes. But I hope this makes you a lot 💰….

That is an interesting opinion

Why not?
You cant fish with people who dont know how to fish.
The Net guy sucks.
The greenhorns add excitement to the day
