I don't think I can get enough of Moab. I would like to see you take a several day trip in the Maze district, camping, class 5 rapids, confluence, your videos, drone, & narration are epic !!!
What a trooper! Because of all your camera set ups and drone shots, it must take you twice as long to hike these trails. HOT!!! Your channel is so unique Alice, great vistas and educational content together. Keep it up!
Been there and mountain biked the elephant road. Definitely not for the faint of heart if you're driving it. Plus there's an area which is VERY narrow between two large boulders. There were some people camping back there and the geological structures were amazing! Very difficult to bike too with deep sand. Anyway, we camped just outside the park (which was closed due to covid restriction) and got caught in a sand storm. Luckily our campsite was against a decent hill so out stuff didn't get completely blown away, however our tent was full of sand. We decided to high-tail it to a hotel 50 miles away and then on to home. I'd love to go back and spend more time there. A week I don't think would even be enough.
Hi Alice! It's not clear whether this was your first visit to the Needles. Anyway, I hope you are motivated to return when it's cooler and do some of the many magnificent hikes there. You have to spend several days to do it justice. I've been to the Needles more times than I can count and hiked every trail, most of them many times. The trails in the area are like a spider web, so you can invent your own loops and never have to do the same one again! In my hiking life, the Needles is the best place in the world. FF
Thank you so much for the advice, I agree I’d like to go back when it’s cooler and spend a few days backpacking or staying at the lodging in the park. The confluence and Druid arch are on my list at some point
Great views. Open skies and hot weather 😅. I usually watch your videos on iPad but this one skipped the habit and I watched it on a big screen TV for a change. Nicely done, almost as if a person do not have to be there to feel the area. I love the shot you did when you were sitting in the shade and filming took place from behind you. That was a good shot. I'd love to drive south to Moab now. I will. Thanks for sharing. Stay beautiful. 👍😎☯️☮️⛺️🥾🇨🇦🇺🇸
Definitely a unique part of Canyonlands! We hiked out to the Confluence a couple years ago in November. One of the best hikes we've done and a good time to do it as the temps were in the high 60s.
Alice! This one was amazing! 🎇🙌 The drone footage, video quality, panned shots of the landscape just to name a few made for such a detailed view of your experience. I really admire the investment that you’ve put in to your content. I’m sure that it is derived from passion 🥰 Glad to see that you’ve got the appropriate attire and sun hat! Despite the warm temperatures that day, you persevered! You’re a total trooper! Stoked for the upcoming content before the year’s end. Also loved the Super Mario reference! Have an awesome weekend! Happy Trails Alice 😊🤙
Needles district is sooo awesome. I did an overnighter there last year. I hiked through Big Spring canyon into Chesler park (CP3) and back to the Squaw Flat trailhead the next day. And yes, it was hot but one of the best hikes I ever did. Advice No 1: Bring lots of water. The drone footage at the end of your clip is insane... Safe travels from Germany
Very nice, I am wondering what could be in that large back pack, other than lunch? I walk to my mail box once a week. The round trip is a little over 6-1/8 miles. Elevavation change is 200 feet each direction with many rolling hills. I only carry water. I would be very interrested in what I should be packing to attemp a longer walk, say to Steven's Creek? Thank you, your viedo's are very well done and professional in their presentation.
Never quite understand why you need more than a fanny pack or hydration pack with water when going for a day hike if less than 12 miles. Of course she has her camera gear, but all that bulk detracts from enjoyable hiking.
Cameras and equipment, my pac has a camera housing inside which takes up most of the bag. Other than that tripod, first aid kit and usually a rain or wind shell. I always carry first aid kit, extra water, snacks and something warm in case the weather changes.
Thanks Alice 🙂Very Cool 😎 Hope you had a great time 👍 80's last 3 days here, tomorrow 50's, then 40's rest of the week 😳🤷♂️ Stay safe and take care my friend 🙏 Appreciate you
Have you ever considered visiting the Dollhouse in the Maze district? Apparently, an outfitter in Moab offers jet boat rides which allows adventurers to skip that treacherous road out there. I would love to take the river route and see the Dollhouse. It looks awesome.
These look really cool to do, I’m starting to think I’m gonna need 6 months in the USA when I go for a hiking holiday haha Where do you base yourself at?
the majority of the state parks and national lakeshores in Michigan have trails that are easily used as cross country ski trails when there is enough snow, some are even groomed, have watch out for the ruts caused by mountain bikes.

Another wonderful video, thanks Alice. Excellent job. Stay safe. We loved Canyonlands NP.

Thank you Paul, I spent 7 days in Moab to visit all the parks, also went to Goblin Valley and drove through Bears Ears and Glen Canyon.
I'm keyed!!! Snowing here in Northern Colorado, so a great opportunity to enjoy your new video. Thanks
I'm in a hotel in Farmington NM, on my way to Canyonlands. First time visit. I just came across your video. Thank you!!

Thanks so much Clif, yes filming certainly takes time and adds weight to my pack. Happy to share it all with you guys though
The 10 mile loop sounds like a goal. Im hoping to make it to all 3 next time im out!

Thanks Radisson, you should visit Moab there’s so much around it, I’ve got enough footage for one more video but I have decided if I’m releasing it.

Thanks Zach! I should have added some Mario music to that section 🤪
Great video, you keep giving me ideas for more places I need to visit !!
Glad to hear it :)
Great video Alice, have not been there in years but this makes me want to go back!
I was there back in May and loved it. You can escape the hordes of people in the Moab area.
Yes that’s for sure
Enjoyed your video! Elephant Hill is one of my favorites. I think the first time I went over it was on a motorcycle when I was 15 years old.
Oh wow that’s awesome and sounds very fun
Thanks for weathering the heat legend 👍😉 looks amazing
No problem 👍 next time I’ll visit in the winter and try to hike some of the long trails like the Confluence

Thanks, I forgot about the camera gear.

Thanks for posting this! I’ve only gone to Islands in the Sky and always wondered what the Needles area was like and it looks pretty amazing.
It sure is, next time I’ll stay in this area so I have more time in the section and hopefully in a cooler part of the year too
Beautiful .
Great video Alice! I am glad to see you doing so many videos lately I know how much you enjoy the outdoors and traveling. Keep them coming.😊
Thank you! Will do!
Good stuff as always!
Appreciate that
Very nice video Alice! I soooo want to go to Utah!
Go for it!
Thanks Alice 🙂Very Cool 😎 Hope you had a great time 👍 80's last 3 days here, tomorrow 50's, then 40's rest of the week 😳🤷♂️ Stay safe and take care my friend 🙏 Appreciate you
Back in LA and it’s still quite warm here but cooling off at night
@AliceFordAdventures Clocks turn back next Saturday, winter is upon us 😖 Think this year is going to be a tough one
Thanks Alice for the great video.Your video reminds me of a summer a few years ago when I was driving through Utah. Beautiful, but very hot.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Nice looks cool 😎

I actually enjoyed it a lot
It was a great video Alice glad you didn't push it since you got a late start
Me too! Thanks Phillip

That's some view 11:30 🙂

That is really awesome. Where I grew up in NH we had a lot of x country ski trails but it’s been many years since I’ve done it
