A visit to the USS Midway Museum | San Diego, California

Visited the USS Midway Museum in San Diego, California. Exploring this historical aircraft carrier is quite an experience. The ship operated for 47 years; from 1945 to 1992. In 2004, it opened as the USS Midway Museum. Welcome aboard! (October 9, 2022)

I served on Destroyers and we operated with the Midway in the Gulf of Tonkin while She did Airstrikes against North Vietnam. Fine Ship to operate with.

I was on Midway 2017 it,s was really great too see . And there was some old pilots ombord and tell some good stories

Midway Magic VA-115 1981-83, VA-185 1986-89. Been there twice for reunions.

I was station on the midway in 1969 when it was in dry dock being over hauled in Hunters point ship ysrd and was temporarily station on Hunters point until it was recommissioned then went to San Diego for sea trails then I got out of the navy in 1972 and was was a honory plank holder
