    i would say the 4 or 6 test leads for injector testing would be my no# 1 choice. having the info to test 3 or 6 injectors/ignition at the same time can be a real help for Dianostic troubleshooting. but i am sure the pack of leads you were showing can also come in handy at times. keep it tuned and go like hell!

    I have been using their products for quite some time and can confirm that they ARE well made, I've had zero problems and haven't really been all that nice to them... Their back probes are really nice, I thought the springy part would give up but no sir, they're unkillable.
    The only problem is that they don't make every little thing one might need, I would really love to have that level of quality at those price levels for piercing probes, connectors, adapters aso.

    Looks like you're getting pretty comfortable with your scope, and you're at almost 20k subs. Your video and audio quality is awesome.
    I finally got a Rigol MSO5000 a couple of months back, instead of the Micsig I was looking at, but I've got a ton to learn about using it. Naturally, Rigol lowered the price on all their 4 channel scopes by $200 recently, plus they're still including the bundled serial decoders and signal generators. I'm guessing a new scope is about to come out and full obsolete mine. ;)
    Speaking of Micsig, they have a new automotive tablet scope with knobs, as well as touchscreen. It looks pretty handy, being so portable and all.

    The Rotkee probes look interesting. I have similar probes from some other vendors, but I like to try new probes. I ordered several, the acoustical probe, the 4-in-1 probe (2), and TL-mlp Multipurpose Test Lead. I enjoy watching your videos. I do have a PicoScope, a 2204, for small stuff - and mostly to be able to say I have a PicoScope for folks that may pooh pooh me having a non-PicoScope in my arsenal. My GoTo scope is a MicSig 4 channel SATO1004. It is very capable and not needing an outside piece of equipment (laptop) makes it easier to use - less clumsy. All of the various demonstrations you present can be performed with the MicSig unit also, which is nice.

      @@MechanicMindset I like both, but the MicSig is my Go To scope.
      This may not be "new" to you, in fact I am betting it isn't, but for for giggles I will share a few thoughts. I recently became aware of, and purchased two Chassis Ear kits. One has wireless sensor, the other had wired sensors. For the wired sensors they are terminated with 3.5mm sound jacks, which get plugged into a 6 channel box where I can flip a knob to select which channel (sensor) i want to listen to. The idea is to find out which sensor is picking up a bothersome noise or vibration.
      Well, while I was tinkering with the wired sensor kit I decided that I wanted to pick up some 3.5mm jack socket to BNC socket adapter cables. Then I can plug in up to 4 wired sensors and direct the electrical signal from the sensors into each of the 4 channels on the scope. That way I can get a visual representation of the various sounds. I can also watch up to 4 channels simultaneously as opposed to only being able to listen to one channel at a time. Morever, were I to pick up a low cost 8 channel recorder/playback machine I can make a recording of multiple different sensors that I can play back at any time I like.
      I found out, after my epiphany, that Pico has an NHV kit already, that does what I am describing. But, they have taken their design to a true cutting edge, whereas my approach is more akin to a hacker coming across a cool idea. I guess I have a poor man's Pico NHV near equivalent for a lot less than the Pico kit is. Now that I have these Chassis Ear units I can't am hardly wait to come across someone with an objectionable noise! So, I will just begun to play with the Chassis Ear morphing into the oscilloscope arena and see else I can come up with. I have lots of ideas already. What fun, blending two or more technologies to help resolve an issue that drives a lot of folks crazy.

    • @MechanicMindset
      @MechanicMindset  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@gilberthale7777 I love the chassis ears kit; used it all the time!
      Yes they give off a small voltage; I think they are piezo elements which are often used in microphones. The Pico kit is next level; I understand they are more like accelerometers which don’t suffer the same physical effects of piezo and can measure more 👍

    • @gilberthale7777
      @gilberthale7777 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@MechanicMindset chassis ears do use piezo chips to generate low voltage signals. Just having the chassis war kits is awesome unto itself. But melding into the scope world is going to make it all the more fun.
      The Pico NHV kit is definitely awesome. And way over the top. From what I can tell been without a scope interface the chassis ears are going to be a game changer for me. I wish we had these available back in the 70s and 80s when I worked as a tech.

As for a 6 cylinder use four on one channel and two on another channel. Is there something I'm missing or do you think that would work? Great video and I will be without a doubt be ordering from them. An $89 pressure transducer definitely caught my eye as opposed to $1300 for the Pico kit. i did electronics from an early age, the problem may be that Resistors will 'dissipate ' (absorb) a certain amount of energy (depending on the wattage) of the resistor, however with a Diode , there are an awful lot of different types, forward/reverse bias, Zenor types etc, is that it will allow current flow in 1 direction(or hold a certain amount of energy until it reaches a threshold) and then it has to do something with it? if you get my drift, remember the current flow will take the least resistive path, be it Earth, point of activity or dissipate in heat build up. but no harm in trying, were all wana be experimenters / home scientist's and students of learning,🙂

    I received the parcel today sent by Rotkee, 45 days long to reach me. But they sent me too many the same test leads I didn't buy. They didn't send me the right products such as Pressure Transducer and so many others I ordered.
    I was just about to see their web site but it is down. I don't know why???
    The web site is back working now.

    Did you mean to say diode with the injector test leads?

    • @MechanicMindset
      @MechanicMindset  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No resistor. It wouldn’t work with a diode. I drew it up and can’t remember why, but it won’t work.. it still needs flow in 2 directions to take the measurement and operate at the same time

    How long did it take for you to receive your package from Rotkee? I put in an order shipped to the US 6 weeks ago, and it still shows the same status on the Ukrposhta tracking as it did the first day they checked it in. I sent Rotkee an email a couple weeks ago inquiring about it and they just said that it was in transit, however, it doesn't appear to me it's ever left the post office in the Ukraine.

    They add resistors or diodes ?

    • @MechanicMindset
      @MechanicMindset  ปีที่แล้ว

      Resistors I believe. Hence the ground voltage doesn’t go to 0V when the injector is activated. If you used normal diodes I don’t think it would work.

      @@abdulkreemalsultan134 Draw it down on paper and consider all paths when the injector is on and off. When the injector is off, that lead will be 12V, and the activated injector 0V, it can’t measure both simultaneously; the resistor is the answer. I needs current to flow both ways to make this type of measurement and circuit work. What do you think? The circuit will work but the oscilloscope wouldn’t measure what we want
