I was in a band around Chicago at this time. Our drummer is a drum manufacturer so he knew van romaine. We opened for this band at the park west in Chicago. Steve Morse is one of the kindest people I've had the pleasure of meeting
I met Steve and Dave at NAMM in around 1988. I was so star struck as I was a huge fan. Steve was very gracious and funny. I got to open up for him in the early 90's as my band at the time was big in the area.
Could take up several paragraphs about this band and other variations with Steve Morse but will spare you with just ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE every time I've seen them. Did get to see a Dixie Dregs reunion gig in 2018 in Dallas and yeah, totally blown away again!
Beautiful. I had the pleasure of seeing this lineup at the Chestnut theater in Ventura back around '93 ish. Just amazing musicianship and the friend I went with was just getting to know their music and her and I were both blown away.
@@peglegjim57 My “I’m an idiot” story. The dregs were playing a small college bar in Mobile Alabama in maybe 1974? I chose to go to an Alabama Auburn football game. Not sure why I did that, not having gone to either school. When I got back my friends who went were telling me how incredible it was seeing Steve five feet away playing his stuff. Most of us played guitar and he was our hero. Finally saw him at the Gulf Coast fair in Mobile decades later and he jammed with Kansas. That was epic and I finally saw him live.

Such a great performance - three piece covering the full band Dregs tune - killer
The DREGS. Killin' it in every concert they played.
Steve's blend of funk/shreddy rock dna is brutal

I hate to say what I was doing when this originally came out. I’m having flashbacks!!!😢 he was sooooo ahead of everybody back then.

Thank GOD TH-cam wasn’t around when we were in high school.
Some of that stuff would still be considered “evidence.”

No music here 😢
Como assim? Provavelmente você não gosta, mas é música.
Steve Morse has a very distinct style that very few musicians can imitate. He is a great guitarist.
So you are def, I feel sorry for you
