I never say "might main." That's a work I almost never use. I never really have "mains" and change my cubes almost daily.

Ok.. well Shawny you totally sold me the cube but something else you should maybe you hear it all the time but wtv man your a beast the way you thought your self to solve with all the different methods that are out there and manage to use them in different situations on the same solve ... To that's just so awesome and the way you finger trick is so smooth and flawless !!! Yeah I just really like your style so there that's what I had on my heart lol 🤘
A 54mm puzzle that's very quiet and smooth with an easy adjustment system - sounds exactly like the cube of my dreams.

This is one of my favorite cubes. I probably turn this or my WRM 2021 M(aglev) more than anything else. I'm old, so collecting most popular cubes isn't a strain on the budget.
This is my quietest cube. It's super smooth, just not quite as fast as the WRM. It feels super nice.
I'm only about a 45 second solver (and improving) today.

Dang, this video has intrigued me. Haven't used many dual adjustment systems, only Moyu's, the Gan I Carry and the Tengyun V2 but this seems like no question the best. Also a 54mm cube? This sounds like it could be amazing.

Wow, this seems like a really awesome cube. The customization options are kinda genius imo
I was a believer of the TengYun. But DaYan wasn't because they released it under the name of Zanchi.
The Tornado V2 is the closest thing to a modern TengYun and might be my next main... but I have to wait for MoYu's new cube (with Adjustable Stuff in the Center, Edges, AND Corners) to see first.
Do you think they will be better than GAN 11?

I have no experience with GAN Cubes.
When it comes to the 11's Premium Plastic, sure it's better. It's a matter which you like more: Core Magnets vs. More Customizable but Fast Cube with Ridges.
I would say the plastic is no different on the Gan puzzles. It's the same plastic you will see on the cubes under $10.
Hi Shawn, first of all hats off for your channel, it's surely the most professional and reliable I came across on TH-cam 😍. I collect cubes and among them all I main the Gan 354M V2. Since the aesthetic of a cube is as crucial to me as its performances I chose the 354 because it provides all my needs. It is a great cube of course, but recently I discovered a problem which is annoying me: after some rough turns the corners seems to pop half millimeter further from their feet and this makes the cube way looser especially when this happens on different corners...moreover the cube starts to be trembling and feels less solid than a Gan should be 😫. I know I can simply push the corners back in their position but its something I don't expect from a 35$ cube...The x-man tornado V2 got my attention due to its size, shades and tensioning system but I'm afraid the plastics and the overall feeling could seem cheaper than a Gan puzzle. Do you have any suggestion about this? Does the x-man looks as good as a gan puzzle as far as quality? Does it provide that premium feeling I only found on Gans?

The plastic is not cheaper. If anything it will feel nicer. Gan doesn't use anything that is majorly different than MoYu or QiYi. If you like the 354 but was a more stable cube certainly the tornado will fit that. I put everything at either the tightest or almost tightest settings.
Gan is coming out with a mini 11 m but I don't know when yet.

The screw heads can swap out at the front of the tool
I hope you figured out that the harpoon screwdriver tip pulls out of the handle so you can insert one of the other tips.

Thanks Shawn, that was a very interesting preview/review. I am intrigued that the magnets can be set to too strong, sounds awesome. My early impression from the online content is that the spring compression is negligible (not much difference between high and low?) but the axis adjustment is good. I have seen enough to pre-order my own cube, I hope I will be pleased. I am currently maining a RS3M and it is great. Thanks again and tell us what you think in a few weeks when it has settled in, including your suggestions for lubing.

Nice, this is the first video I've seen that opens the centre caps and shows the mechanism! Also, how are the M slices? Those are important for me as I use roux haha.

CFOP users are fine with Corner Cutting, but I do "M Slice Cutting" to know if the cube holds up.

I only have my RS3M 2020.
If ever I had a favorite, I'll be divided between the WRM 2020 and TengYun V1 (Dual Adjustments vs. 55mm)
As you can see, the new Tornado has both of those features. The problem again is with MoYu's upcoming cube - It will feature adjustable things in the Centers, Edges, AND Corners.
@@thesphyrth cool! But the top of the line motu cube will definitely be put of my price range :/ and xman products are typically decently priced. So I'm hoping this turns out to be good.

There is no such thing as best and if anyone says there is one it is just what they like at that moment. I suggest everyone start with all settings on the highest "5" and the adjust from there after doing 100+ solves.

Me one minute in, I'm out, cubes too small for my large hands.
I'm hanging out waiting for anyone to make a cube worthy of a main that is 58-60mm.
Why has no company done this, I understand this hobby of mine restricts me from going to any comps in my country, it's all youths, but I'm 39, I have six kids if my own, pity coz it looks wicked, anyways ...
Someone like me with large hands, I have to have a modified grip than the norm at times because of it.
My daughter just turned 8, she mains the 354m and from memory that's 54mm.

I've bought all the budget oversized cubes, ain't nothing close to main worthiness.
Pity, because I think a quality 3x3 cube 58-60mm would sell well, for both young 🌱 and ✌️old.
I have quite large hands, and it might be from 25 years playing the violin that I have adjusted my grip to have my fingers closer. Gan I would say makes the biggest modern one at 56mm. The last major 57mm I remember was the AoLong GT. QiYi Makes their Sail in 58 i Believe, but I know 60mm for sure.
Uhh, just saying, this vid is really good! But in later vids, can you move the camera a little bit further back, it is kinda hard to see it when so close up.

Does literally 1mm really make that big of a difference? Like if you were blindfolded and someone gave you two identical cubes _except_ that one is 55mm and one is 54mm, neither you nor anybody else would be able to accurately guess which is which. It's just not a big enough difference. A millimetre is tiny. And this isn't even 54mm, its 54 and a half.
So I wouldn't just avoid this cube purely from that alone. You should try it anyway, I bet you won't be able to tell that it's smaller if you didn't already know that.
It's actually a huge difference. Even between a 56mm and 55.5mm is pretty easy to tell from using it.

I'm new to cubing and was wondering what the difference between tensions and flexibility is? Been struggling to find a definitive answer. Seems so similar to me.
Spring compression, which is the one that’s not the screw on most cubes, controls how fast a layer turns. The screw also can change this, but it mainly controls how well it corner cuts/ how flimsy or stable it is. Words like tensions, compression, flexibility, stability and things like that are often thrown around, and sometimes I don’t know which one is which

Which one do you like the most, Valk3M or this one?
I just got that Cube couple days ago and I’m not too happy about it. It’s way to blocky and three of the magnets that were set at a lower setting will move or turn to a higher or lower setting and if you set those magnets back to its lower settings it will move again to a higher or lower setting. Is anybody else having that problem. The magnet settings are very poor design. Reverse cutting is not that good. I do have a MoYu RS3M 2020 which I do like better.
I would return it or put in for a warranty if you haven't already. Sounds like the cube is defective, I haven't heard of anyone else having this issue

I didn’t understand the use of the two other screwdrivers inside the tension tool aside from the magnets adjustment one and the, “harpoon”, one. Someone please give me a better explanation.
Often that happens for tool sets. For example the original Gan wrench had 4 options even though it only used one.
@@SpeedCubeReview And I guess it can be handy if you carry cubes that have a regular screw for screw depth like moyu cubes. So you just have to carry a single tool.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with the cornercutting. It's just as good as every other puzzle in the market.
I have a gift card and was thinking of picking up this, wrm 2020 or gan 11 duo. I currently own a gan xs, tengyun v2m, moyu gts2m and moyu rs3m 2020. I get the best times on the rs3m but I had the feel of it and the sound really bothers me. I like the gan xs and gts2m but make a lot of mistakes on them. I think they're too unstable. The cube I like the feeling if the most is my tengyun v2 but I can't seem to get as good of times on it and also sometimes get corner twists and think corner cutting takes too much effort which slows down my solves. Do you have any cube recommendations based of this?
I would suggest lubrication. Something like Cosmos will help make the other cubes feel more controllable.

I got this cube and took a couple pieces out and I'm having trouble getting the corner piece back in, I have taken apart cubes before and never had this much trouble getting a corner piece back in, can someone help me please, I have been working at this for about an hour and the piece won't go in
Don't put the corner piece last. Only end with edge piece
