    You are an especially gifted human (probably at one time the most gifted dinosaur) and I honestly get giddy seeing that you have a new video out...although I'm sure I've missed something. I made a video about 5 weeks ago where I tried to emulate your funny text comments and made a follow up with my last video. With the first video I didn't realize I had been borrowing from your style (I made the video shortly after I watched a video you had made), the second...well, it was a follow up so I had to continue the charade.
    I'm revealing this because I'm so unbelievably blown away by your creativity and don't mind admitting I've borrowed from you (honestly, not intentionally at first). You truly have a magnificent outlook and your creativity and humor makes the time pass by too quickly. Gah! I'm gushing here and don't mean to. Let me just say I love your work and that transmogrifyer thing was about the most creative thing I've seen on here in a long time. And now you'll have to excuse me while I show my family this awesome video. A+

    • @FigmentsMade
      @FigmentsMade  6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I can't thank you enough! You've got me blushing massively over here!! I just watched both of the videos you referenced and you had a wonderful take on text comments and both are great videos!! I'm honored you feel I was an influence but you clearly did it in your own way.
      Now for my embarrassing reveal (and I hope this doesn't ruin everything as I hoped some people would get the reference). I didn't invent the Transmogrifier concept (though I did tweak it and it wasn't used as intended). That was created by Calvin and Hobbes cartoonist Bill Watterson a number of years ago. I grew up reading the Calvin and Hobbes comic strip (about a boy and his stuffed tiger and their adventures together). Calvin's overactive imagination sparked a chord with my own and the fun times he had with a simple cardboard box...well, it seemed like a lot of fun and it kind of stuck with me. Apparently.
      Your comment gets an A++. (gushing is always permitted and indeed encouraged ;) )

    • @MakeThings
      @MakeThings 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Excellent! I'm honored you went and watched them! And yes, come to think of it, I remember that transmogrifier addition he made in his comic, but somehow you made it your own in a fresh way.
      I went back and looked at your videos and I'm shocked you've only made 8 videos yet have mastered the techniques that you have. Your video style is very organic and flows very well.
      Anyway, thanks for the laughs and for what you did here. You have a lifelong sub here!

      I've seen a few of yours I just hadn't made it to those 2 yet! (I'm rather behind on video watching these days)
      I'll say that the years I've spent watching way too many hours of tv and movies and youtube videos is finally starting to pay off as I call it all "experience". 😉
      Thank you so much! It means a lot.

      Totally agree. When my wife asks me what I'm doing in the office in my garage, I tell her I'm making use of social media to grow my channel. She rolls her eyes and says, "Watching videos and scratching yourself while guzzling mountain dew and eating chips helps your channel grow?"

    Especially how you managed to fly back into the Transmogrifyer-whatsit; I'm pretty sure I would have given up and lived the rest of my life as a dinosaur... I mean, why not? Tiny little dinosaur claws can punch holes in leather! (not sure about sewing though...)
    I also have a crap-ton of leather and this has inspired me!
    Thanks!

    • @FigmentsMade
      @FigmentsMade  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1
