If you've been a fan of this channel for a while, then you'll probably know I'm a big advocate for keeping a case on your phone. I think it's the absolute best way to protect your device, and the ones from companies like Mous actually look pretty decent. However, as some of you may have noticed, I haven't been using a case for the past few months. So what made me stop following my own advice, and should you still be using an iPhone case?

Do you personally use a phone case or a screen protector? If so, what's your favourite one?
I mostly use those generic cases and screen protector available in market
No case at home and no screen protector at all. Already have a crack on my camera glass, gladly it damaged below camera lens.
I always use one mainly for security purposes. When you got an iPhone, cases helps to camouflage it and avoid catching attention from robbers. They are also useful to improve the grip especially when gaming.
I like Apple Silicone cases and Spigen screen protectors.
Always have a case and screen protector…but definitely agree it does feel better without, although does make a difference if you using a 13 Pro, 13 Pro max and the 14 pro models because those camera bumps are huuuge. Enjoyed the vid mate!

I use a case almost always. Sometimes I like to use my phone without a case, but overall I feel like it’s to risky. I use a Phone Rebel Gen 4 for my iPhone 14 Pro.
Yeah, it does often feel a bit risky haha, and I've never heard of those, I'll have to check them out!

Stumbled upon this comment randomly and I do have to say the rebel phone cases are really good. I have it too for my iphone 12 mini. Ive had it for a year. Still going strong and solid.
I want nothing on my phone. I want to feel and see the design and the color. I handle the phone very carefully. But a phone is a phone. It is meant to be used and after a while I don´t even care about scratches.
I mainly use a screen protector to avoid the micro-scratches in the oleophobic coating. I also like just being able to instantly replenish the oleophobic coating by sticking on a new screen protector. I use the Super Thin and Magsafe cases from Peel, and I've never done any notable damage to my phone from a drop. To me, the case makes the phone a bit nicer to hold (the square-sided current-gen iPhones aren't as comfortable without a case), and it just makes the phone feel more like mine.

I love using my phone without a case but only when im around the house, if I leave the house ill put a slim silicone case on but I always have a tempered screen protector on
I use only screen protector (tempered glass) because, without it, the phone loses its oleophobic coating overtime and gets lots of finger prints/smudges on it (which you have to clean often with microfiber cloth)
Screen protector and that’s it. The phones are durable now. Just take some care and you’ll be fine.

I've been using the case a lot less when at home. Whenever I get the new phone bug I take my case off to make it feel like a new phone feel again lmao

Tbh I kinda hate using a case 😅 Every time I switch between my Silicon and Clear case of my 13 Pro, I again and again notice how much I love the feel of it. And even tho I have a assurance with my provider but I still have the fear of dropping it and getting it damaged even tho this NEVER happened even back then when I used my phones without a case.
What I also find quite funny is that I never had problems using my phones naked, without and protection. But then I got my Note 8 which had a Clear case included. I simply tried it out and every since that day I somehow started fearing using my phone without a case... 😅

Hard disagree on the screen protectors. I actually immediately buy screen protectors before a case. This constant terror of just buying a fresh brand new phone just to having the screen scratched before the end of the day and living with that dent for 2 years is just plain terrible.

I definitely think my smartphone is nicer without a case, but it's so slippery without a case that I use one. But I don't have a slide on the screen. In addition, the smartphone lies flat on the table when a case is on it.

It takes a certain kind of mind to use your phone caseless. You have to be very mindful of where you put it, what it’s around, etc. For me my phone is always in 2 places, in my pocket or on a table which is right next to me. Nobody ever touches my phone. Not even to look at say a picture or anything.

using iphones without cases is almost impossible!!! they are incredible slippery!!! i buy the apple silicon cases and i am very happy with the feel in my hand and how much better i can handle my phone with it!

Cases and screen protectors should be used , even more so if your phone is expensive. A few months ago I paid £200 for a new phone and less than a day later It'd slipped out my hand and dropped onto the pavement and cracked the screen. The first phone I've broken in 23 years. You think it will never happen to you but it could well do!
I love the look of no case on an iPhone it sucks that every case adds thickness and especially with the rectangular edges it is super bulky in the hands and pockets. I only use a case because of anodized paint chips pretty easily and can oxidize.
I dont use a case it's make my phone so heavy and i lost the sense of touch and also i hate to use a screen protector because it's block me from my secreen quality it's become so dark
I considered ditching my phone case for some of the above listed reasons then ultimately decided not to but also I was thinking that my iPhone 11 gets pretty hot even when it has no case on so I can imagine with a case on it gets even hotter with no way to actively cool it’s self down and with heat being the number 1 enemy of battery health I’m still here debating if whether or not removing the case will help to prevent accelerated battery degradation

I understand the use of the case to protect the device and in the case (haha case of the case) of the iPhone it makes sense, couse value after years go by. But I personally don't use the cover because I want to enjoy the device, as simple as that. Somehow we slipped to the hole in the name of sticking and wrapping the phone with everything available. Which is contrary to what the company claims. I won't give you the charger, " We are green ", but I will sell you a plastic cover, protective foil, etc.
I love that my man was rocking the iPhone XR the swag is crazy.

I am definitely a case and screen protector user… I find the screens on the newer “Ceramic Shield” iPhones to be way softer and scratch very easily, which bothers me quite a bit personally. And while I love using my phone without a case, one of the few times I did I ended up cracking it… so case it is when I’m out and about, no case at home :)

Not anymore 😂. Thabk gooodness. I just got the Pixel 8 Pro, with its new flat screen design. So much easier to apply screen protectors to flat screens!
I have apple care so I don’t use a case
2:18 as if I couldn’t like this guy any more than I already did, he comes out with this, it’s always comforting for me when I see people I already watch say stuff like this, I was only diagnosed within the last 4-5 years so am still in that weird zone of figuring things out, so stuff like this REALLY helps!

This review is exactly what I felt when I had iPhone 8. I stopped using a case because cases would add bulk + remove the feel & experience of the beautiful iPhone 8. And yes, like you said I was paying more attention to avoid tossing(not literally 😂) around my iPhone as I would with a case on. I am generally careful with my devices. However, the day came when my iPhone’s back glass shattered after a fall from pant pocket height while jogging. To conclude, it is still important to have a case on your phones especially the ones with a glass back. I can’t say the same thing for screen protectors although I use one. In last 3 gens the iPhone’s dimensions are increasing exponentially and adding screen protector just removes the experience of an iPhone. (Note: I use case and screen protector)
there are many thicknesses of cases and if you just want something for the what if, caseology, spegen, and others all make medium and light protection cases. and usually look good doing it, too. You know what I see day in and day out? people with cases on their phones.. and people without cases with cracked iphones. This tends to come down to people who can't be bothered to spend even a little money covering their phone, can't pay to fix or replace it when they break it.
I completely understand using a case, but my problem is the screen protector. And I even have 2 hairline cracks in my screen. I dropped it and did that. With that said, isnt this what apple care is for?
Before I would always have a case and a screen protector, no matter what but now with my 14 ProMax, I still have a screen protector and case but like every once in a while, I’ll go cases and yes, I do admire my phone and appreciate it. Like Apple design the phone to be held with that case.
Well I only have one iPhone lol so I definitely can't take the risk of carrying it without a case bcuz I'f I drop it and won't be able to fix it
I use the Apple leather MagSafe case and a MagSafe PopSocket for my iPhone 13 Mini and I loooooove it.
Phones are too slippery but when paired with a case and PopSocket it makes using a phone way more enjoyable.

The case that I got from my iPhone was just few dollars Canadian as it was around $10 for the screen protector the case the lens protector I buy a new clear case, screen, protector kit for my new iPhone that I upgrade to each and every single year

When I first get my phones I always put them on a soft padded walking sock 😂 I then order a Spigen case
I always use a case on my phone (unless the cases are dirty and up for a cleaning), not a user of screen protectors. I'd install one then use for a month or two then get rid of it 😅
I try using my iPhone 14 pro max without a case and as soon as I get ready to leave my house I get a bad feeling and the urge to grab a case lol
If your foolish enough to pay over a £1000 for a phone then it would be really foolish to take it out without a case and screen protector
I would always use a glass screen protector on an iPhone due to how rough and horrible the actual screen itself feels, screen protector makes it feel so much better and repels fingerprints better and adds the solid glass feel which i think we would all mostly prefer over the cheap hollow plastic feel of iPhone screens.
I’m currently using my iPhone 12 without a case or screen protector and I love it! Used my iPhone 11 without case or screen protector and loved it so thought I’d try it again! Currently have a iPhone 13 Pro Max with a case and screen protector on but would rather use my iPhone 12 as it is 😂 I found I spend way too much money on cases and protectors, sold half of my collection and made £180 😂 so I’m like nah I ain’t spending anymore money on them, if I get new phone I may invest in Apple case + seen as it has unlimited accidental repairs 😂😅

I gave up on cases over the summer. Since I took my case off, I’ve only dropped it once, on hardwood floor in my apartment. Didn’t do anything. I mostly just make sure to hold my phone with a death grip and try to use it two-handed, though I do live on the edge and hold it with one hand sometimes 😝

I’ve used a Quad Lock case on my last 4 iPhones and, they have always found to maintain a great balance, between protection and aesthetics. The additional benefit being, that they have number of accessories, that are also hugely useful.
The 14 Pro Max case, with MagLock, is very sleek and great for attached to the car screen.
Always use a screen protector, but never a case, I think it ruins the look and feel of the phone to much😁

Get a Spigen one and it’ll not distort your screen one iota. Also, if you get an anti-glare matte screen protector, it will obviously wash out the colours.
