Haha 250k $?! She forced the poor man. I must add: The woman keeps saying: “We wanted …” The man keeps explaining the functionality and what the things are he paid for 😂😂
If I had not seen the outside of the home & it's neighbourhood, I would have been totally fooled into thinking this was a detached separate home or a penthouse. All it needed was a rooftop bar & infinity edge pool. I'm a woman & I loved how the home delivered on it's inspiration.
The lighting is incredible. That entrance is something else. Fully fits their brief and although the design not for everyone, I’m sure all appreciate it’s perfect execution
Nice dark themed cinematic looking home but it will mess up the residents' circadian rhythm in the long run and hopefully they have plenty of torchlights on standby in case of power outage because they will not be to see anything in their bat cove.
The bedhead is probably my favourite for the apartment. The rock texture and the shadows from the interplay from the soft lights creates a earthy visual delight.
the coolness and coziness of this home is off the charts. it's dark with brutalist touch but somehow feels so zen and calming. i can watch this forever. thank you for sharing this gem!
This is some of the best apartment interiors I've ever seen, I'd personally use less black but still it's very close to how my perfect home would look like
The commitment to the theme and all the incorporated details in making it consistent is stellar! As someone that is also into Batman pursuing dark theme for my to-be commencing renovation, this is definitely on many levels beyond and above what I can envision - mainly there is always the fears of if it’s too dark and if I can live with it, or it’s not dark enough. I wish the video is 3 times longer to give us more glimpses into the finer details. The costs given the execution and features incorporated definitely (to me) looked to be worth it. I have seen a number of used cases /friends with similar costs that did not necessarily translate to the vision.
I'm more of a Japandi style kind of girl but as a fan of The Dark Knight I really liked the house. My one regret is not setting aside more money for reno, I skim on my reno and really regret it. This entry way is absolutely brilliant! My next HDB I'm gonna set aside a room to create my "bat cave".
this is my favorite home in this channel so far. the dark theme is amazing. its like living in heaven for me. love the courage that they have for having a different house
They really committed to some bold choices and made them work! Any single crazy idea would have been a lot to take on in the space available and there were several all together. I love the idea of vast communities of seemingly monolithic mega structure living being a breeding ground for endless individualization.
Their Maisonette looks like a diamond in a sea of sand when compared to the other buildings :) Great cozy style. Although it is great to follow through with a theme I might be worried that it would get boring after 5 years. Personally I would have made the 2nd floor dark, cozy themed and the 1st floor light, skandinavian themed to zone each floor and create some visual difference.
Crazy, this is probably the best HDB design i have ever seen in any SG home channel, this is just too good man, also, as a non Singaporean, i never knew that there's a 2 level/floor HDB Dude this is just too good, i love it so much, the ID have done a marvelous job.
I own a Maisonette too. Looking at the amount of work done, it's not surprising they paid so much. Glad that they feel proud of their home to share it on your channel.
Very well done. I like the Batman vibe without the bat logos, props, or toys; like in the movie for the most part. I noticed the black colored clothing to further accentuate the Batman vibe.
Super tempted to break that monochrome with modern paintings and sculptures with bright colors.... it's a nice place though. And really shows dark colors can work.
love the cascade of panels lighting up on their own as you enter from the main door. should've gone all out and used vault doors too. that would've been sick haha
I guess the owners have to be commended for following through with their vision, but the end result is cold, dark, and impersonal , like a hotel lobby in the 90's.
Seriously, this is hardly "brutalist". Just because it has a Tadao Ando inspired wall doesn't make it brutalist. Rock-textured walls are also not brutalist. All the misuse of design and architecture style names (wabi-sabi, minamalisam etc.) in interior design in Singapore is embarassing.

Lies again? Golden Globe
Same it's gorgeous
Even just an indoor bar infused with the island or in the living room space would be nice.
Further fits the Batman style, hide(outs) in plain sight.

Absolutely agree! It's a harmonious blend of comfort, function, and beauty.
This home is amazing, wow. The rock texture and lighting setup is mindblowing. Shoutout to the whole design team and this couple for the vision.
Exactly! Thanks for watching, Joshua 😁
i like the sleek black design as black is my favourite color.
Black adds such a sleek touch, doesn't it? Such a great choice!
What a lovely abode. Each element in the house stands out on it's own.

Hai, im just wondering how much it is cost to buy Maisonette?? Sorry, im not from Singapore…
The kitchen backsplash could be black mirror, to give more spacious effect. Plus u can see the other side of the room because of the all black color.
Great suggestion! A black mirror backsplash could indeed add depth and spaciousness to the kitchen. Thanks for sharing!
love the entrance! dammed cool. the dark theme lovers would love this.. ..

Yesss I love these! I too have a dark modern place. Takes a cool person to get it 😊

What does HDB stand for please?
Housing Development Board. It's also a way to refer to the public housing in Singapore.
Love the place and the painting. Where did you get the painting from?
Any leads on the recliner sofa? Company name or website link will be very helpful.
