What did everyone think of this fight? For me personally this boss is at the peak when it comes to Ragnarok bosses: very satisfying to fight against (parrying, runic combos) while being extremely difficult (for me atleast being underleveled, 1 hit and you're sent to the shadow realm) 😂 Also, I'm loving the leviathan axe right now as you probably noticed. That 3 hit finisher Pride of the Frost combo is insane!
While I personally struggle more with Gña, I agree that Hrölf is the perfect combination of difficulty and fun. There's just something about how none of his attacks feel unfair but still manage to be deadly and keep you on toes even after lots of practice.
Great display of masterful timing of parries, dodges and attacks. The fight looked so great! Would love to see you use realm shift builds as you did back then in gow 2018. For me that was peak satisfaction watching it.
Truthfully speaking he was actually very easy for me on GMGOW but I’m lvl 9 😭 Regardless he was easy because I spent a good time learning all the other berserkers moves and the king is pretty much a copy and paste

One thing that always amazes me about your gameplay is your ability/confidence to execute single dodges (without rolling) so well. Makes the the game looks so smooth. Kratos is almost never rolls when you play

There’s so many amazing things you do here but the biggest one for me is you never hit air 2x in a row. Not once. You never held back on your strings either. Your cancels are crazy!

You are The Best so far Brother. I never seen any body fight & defeat the Bosses who has RED Health Bar on them especially on the hardest difficulty. You do it so smooth & stylist. You really make this look easy.
Just a tip, hopefully it helps people that have come here for help. This guy did an amazing job but if while you are fighting any opponent and they move and it’s hard to keep track of them. Just press R3 (ps5) and it will auto lock on them. Unfortunately I didn’t realize this until about 75% thru the game 😅
Masterpiece! The first time I'm seeing someone fight this boss with so much variety and style. I think you make me appreciate this boss much more now along with the combat as well.
It took me roughly four hours to get the tells and strategy for this boss fight in GMGOW difficulty on my first playthrough. Doing it underleveled, with enemy with red healthbar and taking no damage is absolutely crazy. You are a monster my friend. I’d say it is impossible. But you prove me wrong

How about the 3 sister berserkers? I genuinely hate that fight on GMGOW. Glad I plat the game on GMGOW but that fight really gave me headache. Fighting 1:1 boss seems more manageable than 3 bosses that any of them can 1 hit KO you
There is a quote from Jurassic Park 2 about a man who climbed Mount Everest without any oxygen. When the man comes back down, a reporter asks him "Why did you go up there to die?" The man simply replies "I didn't. I went up there to live." I always remember this quote whenever I see an @SmvR video when he purposely fights a boss while under-leveled.
Are you interested in doing a full immersive story run like you did for the previous game? Those videos were really awesome and taught me a lot, especially when fighting many enemies

I still find it very funny that whenever your in the moment of fighting something so hard, and then you just casually pull out the Mimir Laser Eyes 😂 All seriousness though, that was a great fight. Always appreciate people who fight to their fullest and not just nuking their enemies.

Good video man! I think something that I'm lacking is the whole runic combinations and that sort of thing. I just can't get that stuff down. I'm even maxed out on all my Leviathan ax stuff but against bosses like this can't get it right hahaha

I've been fighting him recently, and I've come really close, but in the last bits either i mess up my timing with a wrong attack, or he randomly does his floating magic which comes out instantly when close to him. At least for me. Is always such a joy watching you play, you are so damn good, and it gives me ideas, as well as helps me understand some timings

The Realm knows your path of destruction and your unending might. You've vanquished all of your foes, and fought every manner of soldier and beast. Even in death, your soul remains formidable and undaunted. And in walks a foreign god wearing a primitive leather pauldron, and you can't even touch him. Early in your battle you're pinned up against the wall you created to trap your opponents, but now you're the one who is being run up against the ice with a flurry of flame. The fire burns unlike any ember in Muspelheim, any magical fire, and feels as if it is of a different world entirely. Your enemy switches between his three weapon sets with light-sundering speed, and his resolve only seems to build as the fight progresses. The only time he runs is to reposition for an attack, or to take advantage of an opening he created. Any swing of your blade bounces off of his shield, any blast of bifrost and seidr magic is dodged with a casual sidestep. None of your steps have been careless, none of your attacks have been miscalculated, and have fought as savagely as you always have, yet still you fail. Absolute legend,i've followed you since you played gow 2018 and you just never fail to impress with the gameplay! One question,which of the berserkers were the most hardest for you to beat?
I think the combat has been both upgraded and downgraded: you can't abuse some mechanics like time-resetting-quick-turning, using aiming to shortening the agile strike animation (they even removed agile strike and invincible fists moves) or even dual-wielding the weapons to apply both elemental status at once... it's pretty much like DmC4 and 5, where the inclusion of a new weapon and new mechanics make up for the simplification of the basic move set potential.
The 3 Berserker fight was harder in my experience. The Kings move set is consistent and fundamental mostly a 1 on 1. The 3 will range attack whilst your fighting and so I'd lose like half health while mid runic attack. The amount of mald. On top of that when you only have the sisters left they do their unblockable attacks more often. So I'm running around the arena terrified.
Took me about 2 hours to beat him, I kept making dumb mistakes like being too far to interrupt his blue ring. I think he was harder to beat than Gna, she only took about 30 min to beat, would love to see how you do against her.
