I made an exception as the cutscenes are quite long and Odin's 3rd phase is utter chaos at level 1 haha. Hope you enjoy! I will revisit this fight in the future as it's one of my favourites.
tbf he couldn't do shit as a marble. Violence to stop his actions was done, but those 3 all had reasons not to go any further than keeping him as a decorative wall element. Sindri still had vengeance in him - cruelty. And a right to it.

The fact that you’re dominating bosses like this at level 1, I’d love to see what you’d do at the proper high level builds and equipments…even if they end up super short
His armor might be level one so are his health and rage stats. But the weapons aren’t. They are just cosmetically changed to look like level 1 weapons, but are actually maxed rank. Can’t perform some of those comboes and moves with level 1 weapons
@@RODDYRODDX No you cannot. You need to upgrade your weapons to unlock certain comboes. It’s not like at level 1 you can perform those moves. SMVR clearly has his weapons at max rank, but they are cosmetically disguised as level 1.

This version of Odin is so compelling as a character and it’s a shame he felt like he was without purpose. He was wanting to know the “big questions” of the universe of “what’s the meaning of life” or “why are we here” and was so preoccupied with the future he neglected everyone and everything in the present. He could have used his power and knowledge to help the people of the 9 realms, he could have been a good husband and father to his family, but instead he chose his own selfishness. The only worthwhile thing to live for in this world is to be a good person and being kind and helpful to others. That is true happiness.
Why do you think Atreus chose to break the mask? He saw what even a glimpse inside the rift had done to Odin. A man who’d forsaken countless worshippers, family who could have loved him, who went to atrocious lengths to get his way without even batting his last good eye. Had Kratos not told Atreus to not take his compassion for granted earlier, Thor would have beaten Kratos into the dirt somehow. Atreus likely would have put on the mask, fulfilling the prophecy of him becoming another pawn of Odin. In fact, an interview with the devs at Santa Monica Studio revealed that the moment Kratos told Atreus to open his heart was the moment they averted the prophecy.
True happiness doesn’t come from helping people always, it comes from simply what you do with your life that makes it content. Odin honestly just needed a hobby other than obsessively collection knowledge.

Incredible skill. One thing I noticed tho while playing, is that when you use wrath after Artillery of the Ancients, you actually knock back the enemy, so that the spear detonations won't hit on full effect anymore. Like on 02:02 in your first phase. Since I noticed that I always make sure to detonate them while he's still standing centered in between.

Woah u know what I just realized.. Kratos was supposed to die here in the prophecy because prophecy is just a logical guess of the actions and consequences of individuals based on one's nature.. What the prophecy didn't account for is that Kratos' changed nature, changed Thor's nature right here because Thor maybe was supposed to get up and strike Kratos when Kratos put his axe down and thats when Atreus arrives

I just realized something, 3 boss fights took place in front of the great lodge. 1st was atreus vs heimdall (well imma count that but i know its purpose is to showcase heimdall’s battle capabilities) 2nd was vs thor and lastly, the first phase of odin’s fight.
I feel like the parry timing for some enemy attacks in this game are a little wonky. For example in the Hirst/Mist fight, when they go for their super long distance spiral attack you have to parry way before their even close to you.
Yes! I experienced this as well. I’m looking forward to your Odin fight without checkpoints 🤯 He has some rare setup moves in phase 3 that pressure the player so much it’s not fair 😂 Glad he didn’t use them for me
I also fail sometimes to those frog enemies who jumps before attacking you with that guard breaking attack as well as the hel raiders if you are in the same level as them with their jump attacks. They seem to hit you before they actually hit you with their animation. So you have to parry way before the attack almost “hits” you.
I agree the timing is definitely off. I feel like I had an easier time parrying in 2018. Maybe it's the yellow and red rings, they seem to show up and disappear way to early. Could just be me getting older too lol.
