Pegasus is a constellation in the northern sky, named after the winged horse Pegasus in Greek mythology. It was one of the 48 constellations listed by the 2nd-century astronomer Ptolemy, and is one of the 88 constellations recognised today
I don't get why the Olympians overreacted with Bellerophon being arrogant when they are too arrogant themselves
It's call double standards.
I know, right?
The powerful rarely if ever see the flaws in themselves that they see in others.
Bcoz the gods have right to be arrogant and mortals don't?
They got territorial
Awesome stuff as always
After agamemnon, only Greek heroes left that I can think of are Orpheus, Jason, & phyrrus
The chimera is definitely the coolest child of Typhon and Echidna. Though, I remember its death being different
Yeah, the way it usually goes is Bellerophon puts a block of lead at the end of his spear and shoves it down the chimera's throat, the chimera's fire breath melts the lead and it chokes to death.
Also the chimera is usually considered a female monster, not a male
Cerberus and the Hydra were also pretty cool offspring of Typhon and Echidna.
Thank you for the video it was good ⚔️
Wow, these greek story's are very interesting, cruel and awesome at the same time.
Thanks for the upload.
This will be interesting. The man who dreamed of being god now this will be an interesting story.
Never realized how many parallels there are between this story and the story of Joseph in the house of Potiphar in the Bible.
I was thinking about that too!
I see Bellerophon's story to be quite similar to the Tower of Babel. Just like the post flood people who wanted to reach into the heavens to be like gods, Bellerophon himself thought he could fly up to Mount Olympus and become a god, only to be thrown off of Pegasus by Zeus and losing everything he gained, including his Pegasus, and living the rest of his life in misery as a blind beggar.
Bellerophon had the biggest shift from "I'm him" to "I'm not him" in all of Greek mythology.
Remind me of Cain and Abel and Joseph story from the Bible.
Congrats on 2million
thanks
I wanna see the Slavic Gods
If Bellerophon survived his fall, wouldn't he still be king of Corinth?
❤🤍💙 all your videos mate👍
wow that's very beautiful video I love them this new video yup I love that my brother father.
One version of the story has Bellerophon tying a lump of lead on the tip of his spear and then thrusting it into Chimera's mouth. Chimera's fiery breathe melted the lead, which then got stuck in the beast's mouth, choking it to death.
How do I turn off the spanish function?
It should automatically be off. If not, try tapping/clicking the cog icon for settings or the CC for captions.
Chimeras in Greek mythology like Pegasuses is a type of beast not a name
Not in Greek mythology. Maybe in modern takes of Greek mythology but not in the classic tales. Chimera came to be a name for various animals, to describe anything composed of disparate parts. But the chimera in this story is THE Chimera. As for Pegasus, his entire story is told as one type of animal.
Why does that Chimeras shoot out a rainbow 😂?
Bellerophon was just cursed from birth like every other non favored child in Greek mythology..
The Chimera was female.
No it was the sphinx
@@edwinchigozie215 Wrong. The Chimera has been confirmed to be female as well.
I guess it depends on the source I could have sworn every depiction I saw it in it was male
@@edwinchigozie215 Nope.
Almost Every character in the video was killed by kratos in gow fiction
🔮✨️👍🏼
Is that how we're pronouncing it now?
I like some of the stories in this channel but one of the things I find annoying it when the narrator starts voice acting for the characters
😮
I am unable to watch this due to the pronunciation nay butchering of the name Bellerophon
Why did you portray the king as black?
Greeks were White.
