We need to depose all Nazis and fascists from positions of power by any means necessary if we are to have actual freedom and fix any of the problems with this country. This sherif should have no public position as it is clear what he is advocating for.

Most Americans accept this Republican talking point, demonizing govt run health care. Democrats, the party on the left here, cede the power to define what is possible to the Republicans on health care and other issues. The Democratic candidates typically water down positions for fear of Republican attack and Democratic voters argue that other voters won't accept something so "radical" (even though many polls show significant majority support by Americans for various social reforms).
It's hard to see it for what it is -- because for one thing, the country has been gaslit for years by Republicans who have us pretend other countries do not provide much better for their citizens. I believe this cannot change until Democrats as a party take off these blinders and insist that the distorted, xenophobic Republican framing is unacceptable and ludicrous. The quality of life in the US will continue its precipitous slide until this dynamic changes.

Alright. St Louisan here. The McCloskeys were - unsurprisingly - terrible before all of this. They undermined their own story of events that lead to them threatening protesters, which isnt too shocking considering witnesses and video refute their claims too; liescan be hard to keep up when you give a marathon of interviews.
They have a history of being aggressively territorial. One night, Mrs. McCloyskey shot from a window at a woman (who lived in their neighborhood) crossing a piece of land the McCloyskeys claimed to own. The ownership of the land was contested, but she still felt entitled enough to fire a weapon at someone for being on it.
They sue people over property so much they've sued their own family. They also went to court to try to stop unmarried (by which they meant gay) couples from moving into the neighborhood, so Trump's "I'll save the suburbs" bit probably feels quite natural to them.
Another time, the synagogue by them put beehives along their north wall as part of their children's program and the McCloyskey's choice on how to handle the matter was to just destroy them.
So, if you see anyone defending them or come across any remnants of their "well we are actually democrats and social justice advocates" facade (it crumbled early on), take it from someone who immediately researched what i could about them and their neighborhood they day it happened: they've always been nasty people who will fire a gun over property alone.

Chris Lane It’s interesting you bring up tax payers. Who do you think is paying for the 10 children, likely out of wedlock, and likely with multiple women, that the sheriff is referring to? I’ve worked in social services. Recently I had a mom with 8 children all 11yrs and younger. I was trying to get an evaluation scheduled for one of the kids, but she said she could not take the child, since she had no way to transport all the kids, and had no support system to watch the other children. I get it, recommending she have her tubes tied or gets on birth control takes away her choice, sounds like hitler. But at the same time, how many children do the tax payers pay for? Section 8, utility assistance, food stamps, medical assistance, cash assistance, SSI for some, free school lunches, etc. And what are the chances those 8 kids will be on welfare programs when they are older? But what can you do? Can the government force her to get her tubes tied? Can the government put a cap on the number of kids they will provide for? I had another mother once that lost custody of all her kids for abuse/neglect. She was pregnant with her 9th. Said she was going to keep having kids until the government let her keep one. The expense of paying for foster care or group homes, all on the tax payers dime. The sheriff is probably seeing the same crap day after day, year after year. When I was younger I used to think everyone should be sterile at birth. And it gets reversed after mandatory life skills and parenting classes. Everyone could get it reversed, there was no test even.....but they had to at least be exposed to the information. Just discussing sex ed with sexually active teens who don’t know what or when they ovulate, or all the STDs out there, etc was so frustrating.

@n00bMaster69 racism is an issue. Society remains racist, to an extent.
However, it really is NOT a big deal if you compare it to other issues.
I will quote some facts here:
1.- On average, in the US, out of 100 white people killed by the police, 9 were unarmed.
2.- On average, in the US, out of 100 black people killed by the police, 15 were unarmed.
3.- In the US, on average, 3 persons are killed by the police every day.
4.- No matter what color you are, here in the US, out of every encounter with the police, you are 30 times more likely to end up dead than in European countries.
      BLM? Yes they do. But,
Is racism the biggest issue, or general police brutality?
Maybe if Democrats adressed this issue more like "we have a police brutality issue and it impacts all Americans" rather than a racial issue that only impacts black people, they would get more things done thanks to bipartisan support. This, in my opinion, would be more efective at saving black lives (and some white, yellow and brown too).

Steve Burnside That whole quote is a misdirection to what the reality of what is going on in America so please spare me the deflection. White America needs to come to the realization that most blacks and latinos, and asians and anybody else that is not caucasian do in fact feel alienated IN THEIR OWN COUNTRY. And that is the real root of the problem here. And although i see some White Americans seeing this and actually trying to better the situation it's still too many that side with evil.If that goof wins the white house again that is proof that alot more needs to be done in this country to make every citizen feel equal with "liberty and justice FOR ALL". That so called leader doesn't make everybody feel equal unfortunately. And don't take my word for it, the proof is in all those dumb tweets he has posted.

@@roywiseman Go look up the origin of the term "cultural Marxism" and how it is basically an anti-Semitic conspiracy theory peddled by the far-right for decades and now made mainstream within the GOP after Trump came to power. "Cultural Marxism" is a commonly used term that says that every institution in the US has been infiltrated by Marxists. It directly comes from the term used by the Nazi Party in Germany called "cultural Bolshevism." The only difference between this and the full white nationalist conspiracy theory is that white nationalists say the Jews are behind it while mainstream Republicans don't really believe that.
Look at Black Pilled YT channel and the man behind it, Devon Stack. Look at his book "Day of the Rope." He's a full fledged neo-Nazi, and his book is just a re-write of the "Turner Diaries." Look up The Red Elephants' interview with Devon Stack and how they talk like buddies. Look up Black Pigeon Speaks and see him recommend Devon Stack's YT channel.
Look at all the similarity between literal neo-Nazi propaganda and what now passes as mainstream ideas within the Trumpist GOP on shows like Sean Hannity and Tucker Carlson.
Isn't it weird how George Soros is suddenly the scape goat for everything now? Isn't it weird that a lot of Trump supporters praise Vladimir Putin because "he's a traditionalist and staunch champion of Christianity?" Isn't it weird that Putin hates Soros and had a conversation with Trump about him in Helsinki? So why is there a pro-Putin message and anti-Soros message now?
Isn't it weird that Trump says not to trust the media, even Fox News now apparently? If we can't trust the press, who can we trust? Who becomes the arbiter of truth? Trump? Isn't that a bit self-serving?
Look up the "Rope. Tree. Journalist" shirt that has been seen multiple times at Trump rallies, and NO ONE SAYS ANYTHING TO THEM ABOUT IT. It is a literal incitement to violence, and if it ever came to pass would be the death knell for any semblance of the American Republic.
Open your eyes and see what these people are really about. It should make you feel physically ill what is going on. Trump is setting in motion what he needs to obtain absolute power in the country, and his most ardent supporters are already suggesting that Trump should get a 3rd or 4th term to make up for the impeachment. Doesn't that sound self-serving and dangerous? It sure as hell does sound that way to me.
