Sichuan (四川) cuisine is borderline insanity for most Japanese. Mapo-dofu (麻婆豆腐) is very popular in Japan, but they have to dial it down to meet the tolerance of most Japanese customers. In Sichuan cuisine, they use a lot of Sichuan Peppercorns (花椒) and it basically makes your tongue numb. Mexicans and Koreans are probably the few who can tolerate that level of craziness.

I had DANDAN noodles 🍜 in Singapore 🇸🇬, but I have never tried MA PO NOODLES except for MA PO TOFU over rice.
All them Spices that go into the 🌶️🌶️🌶️ Chili Oil bet it taste good on a Egg Roll👍😋 The Chefs are So Skilled.
