everything’s a beauty to smoke players cause they don’t have the iq to pull a combo with NRS handing them a free 50% for doing nothing lol
I remember everyone was saying Smoke was MID TIER until we actually got a strong showing from players like BigDaddyG and JustNasty. I'm so glad we have someone like JustNasty to show everyone what this character is truly capable of doing in the right hands and great video as always :)
Smoke is insane. He can cancel anything into everything. I never know what a good smoke player is gonna do.

He's still pretty mid, they're just very good players in a game where it's hard to be very good.

Smoke is definitely average. He’s kind of ironic in that his cancels are pokeable and his overheads are predictable and can be up blocked. Not saying I wouldn’t get smoked by nasty, but ninjakilla just uploaded a sub zero vid of him doing 50% like it was a bnb. Good players can make anyone look good, but good characters can make bad players look good.
Honeybee will always be my favorite NRS content creator. Tremendous skills, good sportsmanship, and a personality that radiates positivity. Keep up the amazing work
6:57 Knowing the timing on the cancels while invisible is absolutely insane!
Most smoke players actually don't memorize Timing, they react based on teleport animation start (the "smoke" effect before teleport), and cancel it that way. Anyway, still an impressive thing
@@ArshakAvagI have been practicing it myself and at this point I'm convinced most of these Smoke players are using macro controllers left and right
It’s muscle memory for me, each attack you vapours from has a different timing for the cancel so some are quicker than others, all about knowing the timing and once you learn it it’s great.
@@jedda7955 yeah I’m just figuring that out. Haven’t fully picked up Smoke yet. I just go in training mode a few minutes a day just to practice the timing on his cancels and that’s it lol

I know it’s just spacing but I literally hate playing against people that walk back all game, like especially with a character like smoke who has absolutely nothing in his kit that would make that a viable strategy it just slows the game down and it’s boring af.
At that point I don’t call or spacing I just start saying they running because they scared
It's just how you play the game. Running at your opponent it how you get beat up.

You must not play smoke or see good smoke players to understand why creating that space helps utilize his kit well. I can't tell you how many times I've created space just that way, and had good enough reaction time to a projectile or kameo ambush to use enhanced smoke port, catch the opponent where they can't block, and loop the enhanced smoke port twice more into a a good damaging combo as a result of having created that space. I literally did it just last night and beat a god ranked player as a grand master. Saying there's nothing in smoke's kit to have benefit to creating space like that, and that it's people running scared is fucking unhinged.
That combo wow...I hate fighting Smoke but have to give him props for that combo. Very shocking he didn't take that round but Honeybee handles close matches well.
I know this is old but you look like you were having fun trying to adapt. I was look for advanced smoke players you popped up you got the best reptile hands down. Thanks for posting the hype match win lose or draw.
Highest damage I've ever got was 13% (it was off a throw)

I know its part of the game and a valid strategy but the whole having to chase down someone constantly backing up the entire game would drive me crazy 😭
You kind of have to with Smoke, he don’t have the range like other characters . He also get hit out of his over head on startup. He also have a slow low/overhead mix. Reptile will win in neutral especially with that b3

Luckily this is MK so there's tons of teleports and ways to bypass the bullshit if you're so inclined! Tough luck if you're a character specialist and your guy doesn't have those things, though.

It’s actually crazy how many times I’ve seen that happen or its happened to me. You pull off an ultimate optimal combo perfectly for half or more health and still die that round. Idk what it is, i think its a mental thing because almost every time i drop a 46-50 bomb on someone I die that round.

Is there anything that Reptile's invisibility does better than Smokes? Or does that Smoke's does NOT do? I ask because if Reptile blocks an attack, he is visible again but that doesn't seem to be the case for Smoke

Smoke invisibility is only possible through spending a bar then he gets all the benefit reptile would if he spent a bar in his invisibility but smoke own is a bit faster

I have a 595 combo which is essentially impossible in a match, so 587 or whatever it was is so cool to see. My next best is only 517 🤣

The fact that force ball can be reacted with teleport is so lame. Makes Reptile’s game plan obsolete
The fact that Smoke can't react teleport vs most projectiles in game makes his teleports almost useless in most fights. You got it backwards buddy.

That smoke is scripting. Look for smarttaura scripts. Exactly same combos with same timing same everything that smoke is a cheater.

His BnB is also by far the most difficult of all. He needs some serious buffs
