- Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump will address an annual gathering of Republicans in St. Paul, Minnesota's capital.
The state leans slightly Democratic, but Trump's campaign aides have indicated they believe they can compete there this year.
Donald Trump has accepted President Biden’s challenge to debate him, setting up two televised showdowns between the pair.
CNN will host the first debate in Atlanta, without an audience present, on June 27, before the party nominations are finalised. ABC News will host the second on September 10.

Correction: Kansas did NOT vote pro-abortion in that last ballot. The ballot question was poorly written and actually was about whether Kansas legislators would retain the state’s right to make laws regarding abortion. The issue was twisted and people came from other states to convince people to vote NO. Then the results were said to be a deciding referendum for pro-abortion. It is not true. We absolutely should have the issue decided by the states. But please don’t use Kansas as an example. Why can't each of us take a picture of our ballot and then have a website we upload the pic to? That would be a back up to prove how many votes Trump gets. But we keep the count under wraps until after the election, so they can't lie about how many Trump gets.
What we need is an election system that gives the voter a receipt. Then each voter could register their receipt on a website to check the count of the states.
In Texas we submit our vote in the machine, and the ballot prints out and you can see your choices. You insert your ballot and it is counted again.

The paper ballot in Texas is not a receipt. My comment was not clear. You insert your paper ballot in another machine where it is counted a second time. You do not get to keep the paper copy. And it is illegal to take a photo in the voting area. No cell phones allowed.
