    I just started stringing last week and had trouble reducing that slack on the outside of the frame. Syngut, multis are fine but polyester is tough. I'm going to try this, thanks!

    you should always tie off closest to your final tensioned string + always tension all mains before tying off :)

    would you recommend a double knot like you did in the video or wilson pro knot? are there advantages or disadvantages to each? Thanks

      I prefer the double. Opinion

    Is there a reason you release tension before tying off the 2nd knot? Sorry if I missed the explanation if you covered in the video. Thanks for the video instructions.

      After I pull one loop of the knot, I'll release it sometimes to cinch the knot tighter

    That's a standard Boy Scout knot. Double half-hitch. A slip knot.

    does this work for thicker gauge rackets? I use solinco 16 gauge and theyre so stiff that my knots are often too loose and too big

    • @5KTennis
      @5KTennis  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes. Over, under, around and through. Rock the knot back and forth to get the not perfect

    Why didn’t you use the first available main to tie off which would have left less slack?????

      I'd have to go back and look. I use our USRSA MRT handbook if ever doubt proper tie offs. I have every racquet pattern spanning decades to current.

      Grommet tie off wasn't there. The bigger Grommet at different location
