  • The provocative and entertaining work of award-winning documentary filmmaker and broadcaster Tim Samuels. He is one of the most distinctive and acclaimed TV journalists in the UK - with three Royal Television Society awards and best documentary at the Banff World Television Festival.
NB: Tim is now represented by James Grant agents - contact amynewman@jamesgrant.co.uk
    The reel includes:
    - The Zimmers: forming the world's oldest rock band to highlight neglect of the elderly. The band went to number one on TH-cam globally, took LA, Jay Leno and George Clooney by storm, and appeared in more than 50 countries. The film was shown at the UN.
    - Poles Are Coming: part of the BBC's controversial White Season, looking at the influx of Poles into Peterborough. "No rants, no hand-wringing; for once, an immigration tale that was just funny and charming" - The Guardian.
    - Battle of Trafalgar Square: forming a platoon of abandoned soldiers to come together for one last mission - invading Trafalgar Square to put up their own statue.
    - Hardcore Profits: the unexpected global impact of the porn industry - with films made in LA having extraordinary consequences in Africa, and big business and politicians associated with the huge industry.
    - Culture Show: Tim is a regular presenter on the BBC's art magazine show - and here made a film showing how art therapy can help heal the wounds of traumatised war veterans at Combat Stress.
    - A Dirty Weekend in Hospital: leading a hundred victims of MRSA on a guerrilla fightback against our dirty hospitals - and also seeing which of the main health politicians might be carrying MRSA up their noses. Health Secretary Patricia Hewitt seems tough to pin down...
    - And clips from Newsnight when Tim drove a car covered in England flags around Scotland during the World Cup, after England fans had been beaten up for wearing national shirts. The car doesn't last long near the Celtic stadium...
"A non-partisan Michael Moore. Dogged, entertaining and thought-proving" - Melbourne Age
"Tim is the Benevolent Anarchist" - Danish TV festival
"Uses the same mix of bravado, cheek and seriousness so successful in the likes of Bowling for Columbine and Super Size Me" - Daily Telegraph
