I was a little confused by the first question. I not sure if I understand the usage of the words "reputable" and "newspaper" in the same sentence.... Unless, of course, that sentence is something like "I've never seen a newspaper that I could describe as reputable". ;)
I like the way Dr Karl had a stooge in the audience, regarding the cat cartoon when he screwed up initially he conveniently had a video all prepared to entertain the audience.
The fake scientist was getting random questions from the audience some lady asked about dropping the cat and somehow how the mad scientist conjured up a cat video and even had a 7 minutes about stupid cats, how convenient that screw up.
Okay how come they happen to have that particular movie which the mad scientist mentioned and even new it ran for for 7 minutes get real buddy, show scripted.

I really don't get why you a talking about Dr Karl in a derogatory manner when he is a great person who does great things and you obviously came here to watch him! on the "fake scientiest" comment, he openly says he isn't expert in a particualar science but the man has such a vast knowledge of all sciences and never stops learning and passing on his knowledge... the cat video, i've have seen him and heard him answer this questions so many times its not funny, so yeah if you don't think he carries around alot of different files on computer or usb ready for different questions and situations then mate its you that is thick as a brick and need to do some more research. oh and your most stupidest comment "and even new it ran for 7 minutes" .... ooooh maaaate ... of course he knows the duration of the clip, he narrated the damn thing !
