Digiscoping vs Long zoom compact camera vs APS-C Tele Zoom

Comparison between different cameras at different subject distance.
1 inch sensor vs aps-c sensor vs digiscoping.
Setup (Amazon affiliate links):
Sony Rx10 III - 600mm + clear image zoom
Sony A6500 + Canon 400mm f5.6 + Canon Extender 1.4x III
Digiscoping with Kowa TSN 883 + 25-60x + Sony Rx100m5
Tested with subject distance at 14 meters and 5.6km, it was a hot summer sunny day, so there are hot waves...
The footage was recorded in 4k and resized to 1080 or cropped to 1080 for detail comparison.

Thanks for the great effort.
The biggest difference in these 18m mages are different exposures making the kowa look at better contrast and ~24mpx cropped in sony. But accounting for that, it appears they are very close, and the largest difference is that the Sony has Image Stabilization that really makes the camera set up superior.
On the 5.6km shots, the 400 5.6 looks a smidge better and the image stabilization makes the picture so much better for video. The contrast/colours look better on the kowa but I suspect again that its an exposure difference. Upgrading the 24mpx to 32mpx would likely and the 400/5.6 to the better 600/f4 should make the choice even easier. Big expensive 600f4 with 1.4x and 1.6 apsc and 1.6 mode should be way better.
You have saved me $5000 and my jealous looks at digiscopes around me. 👍

Enhorabuena por la comparativa. Es exactamente lo que busco. Por lo que veo, no sé si estoy en lo cierto, parece que el Kowa es el que más capacidad tiene de aproximación a objetos alejados y el de más calidad en los cercanos.

Exacto, eso sí, no es para unas prisas... el enfoque, la vibración, hay que tener cuidado con esas cosas, pero lo que es de calidad/distancia... impresionante!

@@elevatupuntodevista muchas gracias, iré a por el Kowa. Probé con un Celestron Ed100, pero la calidad en larga distancia no era mejor que mi tele, un Panasonic 100-400. Pero creo que con el Kowa será diferente. Muchas gracias

@@PabloLozano-Palocha Dependerá de qué cámara vayas a conectar al kowa, pero por hacerte una idea, lo hemos probado contra una Sony A7R3 + 200-600 + 1.4x... y el kowa con la rx100 sigue teniendo notablemente más amplificación, eso sí, a distancias enormes estas limitado por el aire también.... esa comparativa todavía nos queda por hacer... ahí va a haber batalla...

@@elevatupuntodevista tengo una Panasonic G9. He visto que la mayoría lo combina con la lente Panasonic 20mm F1,7. Y la calidad me parece espectacular. Me gustaría ver también, pero hay pocos videos, del extender 1,6X de Kowa, por lo que he visto, aguanta bien la calidad de imagen

@@PabloLozano-Palocha De ahí pueden salir cosas impresionantes, sí.... el extender de Kowa lo tengo en el punto de mira, pero pierde luminosidad y creo que de momento voy a no cogerlo, porque cuando empiezan a salir algunos bichos ya hay muy poca luz.... y lo que faltaba es perder más...
