I thought Tau were released early 4th edition, as I went from a Speed Freek army (Codex: Armageddon, 3rd edition - better to have bad dice rolls with a filthy xenos race than my marines, and I have terrible dice rolls) onto the Tau (honest, Inquisitor, it was the mech suits, they're like mini-mini-mini titans, and we all know titans are the embodiment of the God-Emperor, honest).
4:14 From what I heard, they started changing the names because of a lawsuit over claiming copyright over Imperial Guard, Space Marines, etc. They lost because the court deemed most of those names to be too generic. So they have been remaining everything to something they can copyright.

Can't believe after years of speaking of how much of a Warhammer fan you are ever other video you actually cover a Warhammer game for once. I mean... TW: Warhammer 1-2, Mechanicus, Gothic Armada 1-2 (okay one dev preview, no review), Dawn of War 2 + standalone expansions, Vermintide 1-2 just to mention the actually good ones from the last half decade and AJS channel is like: "these don't exist".

They sued a model company for hundreds of reasons and GW lost one of those cases because they can't just own names. So there you have it. Games Workshop have weird names like "Drukhari" (Which means Bad Elder if I recall) for the Dark Eldar simply because Games Workshop threw a fit. Not a joke...

Space Marines as well are not referred to as 'Adeptus Astartes', even though that's their official name. You don't refer to them as 'The United States Marine Corpse', you just call them the American Marines.
Agreed. Tau are my favourite. Their commitment to the greater good is commendable. They are better than those Ignorant Imperials with their questionable morals, gap in social classes and misplaced allegiance to their so called "God-Emperor." Quite ironic since "The Emperor" believed in stamping out religion and just trusting in mankind's ability to advance technology. Now he's a husk, kept alive by machines and being praised by humanity like a God. Makes me wonder who is really leading the imperium.

well this is interesting. I've been playing a ton of warhammer lately. Both fantasy and 40k. Ill have to check this out. I've actually been playing the Warhammer Online Return of Reckoning that LazyPeon reviewed. These dudes have not only remade the game but are now updating gear and making new content for it lol. Some stuff is buggy but damn it feels good to be playing an online warhammer game that is not co-op. I've also been playing some Warhammer 40k Space Marine. I actually found some players still playing the multiplayer believe it or not. Single player is still fun as hell. Bunch of DLC that you have to pay for but is not necessary and the base game is $30 bucks on steam. Still that Warhammer Online private server is free to play and I just got out of a 200 player RVR fight that went for several hours. Was actually very stable and not much lag. It seems better than the live version honestly.
