I bought a 93 Accord coupe (manual trans) from my old boss for $150. The car had been sitting out in a parking lot and someone kept stealing parts off it. Everyone told me not to buy it. They said it was a waste of time, that it won't start because the ECU might've been stolen too. I bought it, jumped started it and drove it home 90 miles with no wiper arms, side mirrors or cat back exhaust. Almost 4 years later and I still daily drive it. Got all the parts from the junk yard for cheap and it's been the best car I've owned.
@@DevonDavies-p7f I drove it all around California. I drove it for a few years and sold it to a relative just so I can buy a really clean 92 Acura Integra. I'm still driving that one everyday. Maintenance is not expensive because I do all the work myself. The first thing I do when I buy an old car is change the timing belt, water pump, drive belts, fluids, any gaskets that need to be removed when replacing the timing belt, camshaft seals, crankshaft seal, spark plugs, wires, cap & rotor and any gaskets that might be leaking. I inspect all the coolant hoses and replace them if they look old and brittle. The timing belt kit, spark plugs, spark plug wires, cap and rotor plus all gaskets will run you somewhere between $400 - $500 if you buy all OEM parts and it will keep your car running good for a long time. It basically gives you peace of mind. The Integra left me stranded once but I figured out the problem. It had blown capacitors in the ECU so I replaced those too and it's running strong every since.

Great to see people waking up to Accords. Bought a 6th gen here in Europe back in 2020 cuz the design just had something about it and the more I kept looking at it the more things I found I like about it. I then started to do some research on Accords and man did they blow me away. Long story short one day I read about the JDM EuroRs and eventually ended up importing the 2nd gen EuroR (7th gen Accord) which I'll finally be able to welcome home next Wednesday!
loved this video! I completely get it when you said these cars hold a type of importance in Honda's evolution. These were the cars that brought us to what we have today! And they need more appreciation. That's what us older car guys are here for! I would love to have a 1991 Accord. Back in high school I used to talk about it with my friends and they laughed and called it a grandpa car, I think looks sick!! My buddy drives a Bug Eye, I love that car so much! I want to be able to line up next to him in my own old historic JDM car. I have a 2010 corolla type S which I LOVE! But it's my daily, and I want to get my hands dirty on a project car and I think the accord is perfect for that! there arent that many builds online though so itll be annoying trying to find cool kits for it but I still love the accord so much! thank you for making this video, and sharing how you feel about the car! I'll stop by another video and leave a comment when I save enough for my own accord :)
I love this video because I literally feel the same way about my accord. Same model same year. This video legit took all the word I would use to explain to friends.
Very nice... I love seeing ppl have the same enthusiasm with this particular honda that i do. I first had a 92 coupe in white, all stock my first car. Now i have a 93 sedan euro r swap. Next misson get it as clean as yours lol
Shared! I freaking loved this video!! Made me very excited! Spot on every detail! The community is pretty chill & very helpful! Another point is it's VERY easy to find parts to keep it on the road & interchangeable with so many others! Much love bro!
I totally agree with your toughts on such car ... Going fast is not always the answer... The truth about nice things is that they definetly get you to places and people. You may not like or need in your life!
My first car was a 93 accord coupe auto (still own but is broken and 900 miles away) and I’m looking at a 92 sedan manual. I love the chassis. Simple but beautiful.
90-93 Accord is the best car in the world in my opinion. I love it! I'm on my 4th Cb7! JDM H22 swapped! 5 speed Accord Tranny. Thing rips! 8000 RPM's all day! It has so much spirit! I flew From Anchorage, Alaska to Seattle then drove to Portland Oregon to get my cb7 after I got crashed into a 2nd time. Now I don't drive in winter after people crashing my cb7 twice 😒 . My cb7 has no rust too! JDM 1 piece headlights, All Clear Tail-Lights, Rotor Over Hub swapped it myself, threw some new Wheel bearing and hub assemblys, new axles, rotors, pads, the works. All my work done myself I love it!!
Finally!! Someone! Dude I’ve had my Honda Accord 90 DX Manuel transmission for a year now! It’s the best thing Car I’ve ever had. I don’t know why people don’t appreciate these vehicles a lot more. I’ve been trying to fix little things here and there but definitely make it the only car I need for a very long time. I’m fixing mine, suspension, engine, AC, etc. if you every upgrade or just simply fix something on the car please make a video on it. I want to learn how to fix this icon of a car 🚗. Thank you!
I when from a horrible 98 Malibu whit really low mileage but tons of problems, so I bought a 92 LX 5 speed cb7 and it's the best car I have had so when I graduated from college and got a job I bought myself a 2019 Accord sport 6 speed and yes I still have my cb7
literally just picked up a 1990 accord EX 5 speed in red. Already got parts to fix power steering and Ill need to adjust coilovers. Sooooo sick I love it.
I just got my Honda Accord this year after my Q50 broke down racing. While the Q50 will be my baby, and I will fix her up with better parts. I can’t deny I never had so much fun driving a daily as much as my CB7 accord. She ain’t perfect, the radio went out, the windows are messed up, the seatbelts stopped working, the paint is at the end of its life point, but I love her. And all I ask is she be patient while I fix my Q50, and as soon as the race car is fixed, I will give her the attention and care she deserves. I already did a lot of maintenance, and cleaned her inside as much as I can, so she can be nice and clean. But she will be my perfect daily driver eventually. And she will come back to life.
Beautiful and tough car!! I have a manual 93 accord with over 304k miles and still running great it just keeps going and going with just minor regular maintenance. I love it, many people offered me to buy it for 500dls or no more than 1k because they only see a 28 yo car with over 300k. But for me it means a lot more and is much more useful than a few hundred bucks that I can burn in some beer and grilling some steaks on a weekend 😄
Damn yeah dude that sucks. But sick, glad you got back in one. I feel you, I got 3 different locking lug nuts. Kill switch, removable steering wheel and hub lock.
@@andrewgonzalez8226 Amazon.com. I paid about 50 bucks and it costs 17 bucks a month for a subscription for up to the minute tracking. It has a rechargeable battery. I paid upfront. I also have a Club on the steering wheel and a secret kill switch.
when you mentioned the low door, and open view, i feel that! I have a 1990 Honda civic hatch, and i love to roll the windows down and cruise! I was only about two inches from being able to touch the ground with my arm out the window it was so low lol.. now i raised it up to more semi functional to most everything.
one more thing I love this car. . . The sparepart is very cheap, and very easy to repair. . . not much electronic, basically it's full conventional car cheers from Indonesia
Man , everything you said about Honda accords is so true! Owner of 92 4-door LX, 1993 2 door ex 5-speed. I brag all the time that Honda built most reliable simple generation from 90-93. My opinion Honda got real reliable once they converted to E.F.I in 85-86 . Sadly if something minor broke , most people junked/sold them just to keep up with the in crowd! Going from driving a 69 bug daily, to test driving a friend's 1989 LX 4 door, my God, I remember saying how impressive the steering and brakes were compared to a VW. I don't have to tell you because you already know , these 90s accords are a gem, I tell people you'd better buy them while you can, they won't be available forever ! Good video 👍
I love my 92 accord. Its stock rn want to add safety stuff so it wont get stolen. Also its my first car have had it for almost 4 years, put about 5k miles on it and it still runs great at 150k miles now. I love it so much.
Just got my own and it’s a 92 auto with 263,000 plus miles from my uncle for free lol. He moved back to El Salvador and couldn’t take the car with him so he left it with me. Only wanted it as a beater commuter car for work cause my 07 Dodge Ram 1500 drinks gas like no tomorrow lol so figured this car would be perfect so I took it. Let me tell you the more and more I drive it the more I fall in love with it lol. I drove 1 hour and 30 mins there and back and I didn’t even break a fourth of the tank. Maybe like half of a fourth lol. It’s completely stock but this bitch feels faster than what it is 😂 so makes it hella fun to drive. It’s an ex maroon with the sunroof and it needs some tlc on the body but otherwise runs and drives. I plan to keep it and get it nice like yours ! Cheers.
The CB7 was my first car, I miss it and my 1g Talon TSI AWD. I had Civics, DSM's, RX's and other cars. The RX-7 is my dream car, but I would love an Accord as a DD, just clean it up and do some simple mods.... oh and ditch the brown interior, lol
All you see in The Bay , old Honda’s & Toyota’s and it’s a reason why they still on the freeway to this day. I be mobbin the hell outta my 97’ Honda Accord Wagon 💯
Never owned a Honda. Needed a car quick. Bought a 92 Accord with 278000 on it. Body ok and interior clean. Runs good. 10000 miles added in 8 months. No trouble. Like it.

@@unclefreddieDied google it. I'd send the "let me google it for" you link but it keeps being removed. So, if it's not too much work, go to your internet browser, on the address bar type in google, and when you get there, type in "what is a cb7". After that, google will open up in the most glorious way possible, lighting the way brightly for your mind to find the answers to the question you seek. Another tool that takes that experience even further, is to climb your way near to the very top, where if you rub your eyes and squint, you can just barely make out the "images search button". I've only heard rumor but I'm told it helps the kinesthetic to visualize their answers in a more tangible form. These really are your best options. Maybe you can find a guide to help you navigate this web of sites. Happy internetting!😋
So cool! My neighbor had a red '90 Accord that he had since it was new and absolutely loved, but it was totally destroyed by a drunk driver a couple weeks ago. What a shame, it was so cool and in such great condition :(
Man I have owned a 91 Honda Accord LX for 7 years now and I can only a couple things about why I keep it. It is indeed very reliable and very cheap to maintain. I am in a mood to fix her up. I also own a E46 BMW M3 that my focus has been on but I feel like going back to the girl that has been loyal to me for all these years. Speedo doesn't work and it's missing a driver door panel and window regulator hell entire interior looks bad but runs damn good for a 30 year old car so dammit imma fix her up. If I can make mine look as clean as yours I'd love her even more. Love your Accord man.
That's what's up man. E36 is sick. The speed sensor is super easy, look up VSS. I just did mine on the nsx, way more difficult than the Accord I'm sure.

I love the 90-91 front end and tail lights and trunk on a 92-93 chassis seatbelts were one thing you didnt mention hating haha i hated the electric seatbelts but i got used to them then they stoped working and that was annoying until i think i figured out that it was actually the door switch not working and the belts worked fine haha but i love these cars and i currently have a fresh rebuilt engine with ported head and balance shaft deletes just waiting for my engine to go bad but it only has about 140,000 and is going strong no oil consumption healthy compression no signs of going bad anytime soon its mostly electrical with these cars being that the wires are 30 years old which is to be expected but ive got a engine that has over 500,000 miles on it i have replaced the head gasket 2 and decked the head the second time and it is still going strong i just stopped running it because i had a lesses milage one to swap into that xar but anyhow i havent "blown" an engine as long as they have oil they work ?!? I cant get over how awesome my accord is either its like bo one knows and it makes it that much better because no one expects how good they are a k series couldn't hurt though haha as long as its reliable

loved this video! I'll stop by another video and leave a comment when I save enough for my own accord :)
i love your perspective on life bro. hope you make videos more often.
Watched this video last night, bought a 1990 lx for 1500 today.
Hell yeah man! Right on 🙏
I totally agree with your toughts on such car ...
DAMN that thing is clean. I miss my 92.
Just got one for $250 and man, it’s a great car. Mechanically it is sound.
I did the bypass too. I completely gutted all the ac. I have h23 intake manifold. I love my 91. I like the 90-91 the best
This is the best accord gen ever 💯 2020 & beyond honestly 💯💯
Finally!! Thank you!
Had one years ago. My absolute favorite car ever. If i could find one now that wasn't rusted out I would not hesitate buy it
I when from a horrible 98 Malibu whit really low mileage but tons of problems, so I bought a 92 LX 5 speed cb7 and it's the best car I have had so when I graduated from college and got a job I bought myself a 2019 Accord sport 6 speed and yes I still have my cb7
Love the title of this vid. I wanted one in the 90s and never got it. I still want a 93 NOW!😍
Hell yeah! Get one of you can!
literally just picked up a 1990 accord EX 5 speed in red. Already got parts to fix power steering and Ill need to adjust coilovers. Sooooo sick I love it.
I love em, I’ve had 5! Drove my 92 ex from Temecula,ca to Charlotte, nc no problem at all! Then drove it for 2 yrs after.
Hardcore brother! haha, That's awesome!
I have a 92 Accord LX with the headers and an intake. I jumped at the opportunity to buy it and I'm glad I did
Awesome ride.
I too have a 1990 Honda Accord LX that I picked up for $2000 about 5 years ago.
I love it and it's my daily driver.
I just bought a cb7 as my first car and it’s honestly an amazing car, no dash lights at 261k but I think my cv joint is wearing
Injoy man treat her right she always be there for u
Mine has almost 400 k on it still runs good I keep waiting for it to die so I can do a h swap but the damn thing want quit lol
Nice Cb7 brother, I've owned mine since 2005. I love this car!!!
Have you taken it on any road trips recently?
Have you taken it on any road trips?
My 92 coupe was stolen and vandalized. I got another one and put a GPS locater and kill switch in it.
Damn yeah dude that sucks. But sick, glad you got back in one. I feel you, I got 3 different locking lug nuts. Kill switch, removable steering wheel and hub lock.
How much is the gps locator and where’s you get it? Barely got my cb7
@@andrewgonzalez8226 Amazon.com. I paid about 50 bucks and it costs 17 bucks a month for a subscription for up to the minute tracking. It has a rechargeable battery. I paid upfront. Research and you will see many different ones. I hid mine where I can reach it but where no one would think to look. It needs to be recharged every two weeks. Good luck with your CB7. I also have a Club on the steering wheel and a secret kill switch.
when you mentioned the low door, and open view, i feel that! I have a 1990 Honda civic hatch, and i love to roll the windows down and cruise! I was only about two inches from being able to touch the ground with my arm out the window it was so low lol.. now i raised it up to more semi functional to most everything.
one more thing I love this car. . . The sparepart is very cheap, and very easy to repair. . . not much electronic, basically it's full conventional car
cheers from Indonesia
I have 2!! 93 CB7 sedan and 91 CB9. Love them both!!!! CB9 is auto and I take it camping!!
I got two bud. Cars I always wanted. They do not disappoint. Love em both. H22 f22
damnnn, thats sick dude! i want to swap eventually..
Cheers.
love my cb7. Ive ridden in it since 93
The CB7 was my first car, I miss it and my 1g Talon TSI AWD.
No trouble. Like it.
I have Two! A 91 and a 93, keepers
are they as just as reliable as other hondas im planning to buy a 91
Jus picked up a 90 cb7 manual for $1750 two days ago
Cb7 owner here proud n loud turbo build coming soon
Dude got mine a week ago for 2500 and 73k miles......I also live in the bay area, I'd like to maybe social distance and get some tips and chat about our cars
My email is sweatervest4life@gmail.com hit me on there mane have a good one
I love my cb7. I can't explain the love affair. I'm never going to not have one.
What is it about this thing right?? In the same boat man, its too good.
@@SleeperHonda Looks like a lot of us are in that boat. lol I wonder if Honda knew that they were building what would be such a beloved machine today. Great vid btw. I love the Cb7 community too. Nothing else like it.
what does cb7 stand for?
Mine is 1991 and i love it so much
So cool! My neighbor had a red '90 Accord that he had since it was new and absolutely loved, but it was totally destroyed by a drunk driver a couple weeks ago. What a shame, it was so cool and in such great condition :(
Awwwwwwwwwwww =[
I have a 93 sedan I’ve had it since I was 16 I’m 21 now no one ever believes me when I say that is just a better civic and now that I’m seeing this makes me so happy I’m near the Bay Area too! Cb7 meets
Hey brotha. Just put a deposit on a 90 white exr with maroon interior. Basically the exact same as yours. In canada its hard to find a non rotten one and this one is fucking mint. 292k Kms on it, only 1500$ cad so roughly 950$ usd. Super excited and if it wasn’t for this video I may not have been buying that so Thankyou
Man my accord 93 5 speed has 298k miles and still runs sooo strong .
I hope yours also last forever dude! I live in turkey -> cars are so expensive over here... but I found this 93 Accord Sedan 2.0 EX automatic in pretty good shape. Gonna pick it up next week -> I'm so excited =)
I’d love to have this as a daily. I had 1990 EX-R in the same colour combo. Father and cousin had the same in auto. My favourite whip
Love my 91 accord wagon!
Just finished watching this video man I love the fact how you speak about this accord if everything goes planned I’ll be driving home an accord ex 5 speed with 190 miles if you’re in California maybe we can link up and check each other’s cars I’ve looking for an accord ex preferably for a long long time
Just picked up a 92" lx 5spd wagon ;)
minty clean with records that are book think. very happy to be back in the OG Honda game!
Love your CB7. got a new Sub!
I would had kept it as stock as possible.
Those cars deserve to be kept stock and unmodified
I got a 1993 Honda Accord lx. Love it soo much. Underrated car love it !!!!
sickkkkkkkk I want to paint my 1990 honda accord the same color right now its oem silver color. Can't believe it had 135k when you bought this, I just got mine a few months ago and it only had 89k sat in a driveway for 10 years, but it started right up and been driving like a champ as a honda is known for!
I have a 1994 CC7 accord- Love it ! Pssst a little secret, you can swap your ecu with a P28 or a P30, get it chipped and unlock some potential ;)
Ooooooo. 👀
I just bought a Honda 1992 accord ex with 87000km on it in semi mint condition and I love it
Clean nice classic cb7
Visibility! I love my 1992 Honda Accord EX wagon. Got mine with 99k and it's now at 122k with no problems.
Awesome content! Make more videos! I love my 91 lx coupe as much as you love this beast! I'm inspired to make a video of mine now as you said *the culture around this car is amazing 💯
i really needed to see this video, dude i have an almost great 1991 lx coupe. i hit a little hurdle in my restoration process, and now just parked it for over a year but people are noticing these gems. going to go drop that damn timing cover and find out what is making that grinding noise after an overheat.
This was my first car and I absolutely loved it ❤
Currently have a 93 accord for a daily , have an AP2 and a 2021 tundra Trd pro for the family , 💎
This guy knows what's up!
@@SleeperHonda yea the 93 accord gets most of my love as well as she gets me to work and back everyday 🙏🏻
I 100% agree.. mines a 91 and Im keeping it for Life
Man this was my favorite car man.... Shout-out to you bringing this one bank man
Although I am currently working on my CD5, I never could part with my CB7.
I still have it locked up in my storage.
It's been in there for 4 or 5 years now.
Cb7 project owner from Tracy cali😁👍
Awesome. I remember the 55 mph mark on the speedometer and the retracting radio antenna which was bent by the spoiler
Nice car bro! Enjoy
Nice...ive always driven civics and integras...been thinking a lot lately about getting into an accord to just cruise in.
The cb7 up to the cg5 is the most slept on vehicle in my opinion
Was thinking of selling my Honda Accord 1991 ex but after seeing this video, I think ima start trying to fix up the car. The car needs new engine block and catalytic converter also needs new paint job because it’s been sitting outside it hot Arizona sun for over 4 years now.
Dude hell yeah. You absolutely should! I should make a video and go over the things that are wrong with mine. She's not perfect either
PowerfulHonda Yeah man 😎 car was handed down to me from my dad. Crazy thing is the car still drives but isn’t road worthy right now. Love this little car so much it has always been so reliable!
I only drive these cars lol. I love them. I have owned a White 93 EX 4DR, A Brown 92 4 DR, and I am currently driving a white 1992 I bought 2 years ago with 90000 OG miles on it. I have also owned a 1991 Civic. Fun to drive.
I love this car
Had a 92 Honda accord black coupe. Body wasn't perfect but ran great until one day it wouldn't start.
No jokes I m looking for a cb7 now. After owning a one of my dream cars. 02 civic type r jdm spec red Recaros championship white. Accords are turning this guy on
Still have the car I have a 91 accord I just bought gna fix it up clean love the cb7 🙌
