When I looked into it and saw you talking about Folds of Honor, I quickly changed my mind. I owned 2 bottles the next day. (Gave one to a Vietnam combat veteran). I am your biggest advocate in Indiana. Now I gotta say I am a rye and bourbon drinker, but your whiskey is the damn smoothest thing I've ever drank, and that includes a bottle of Johnny blue that I bought one day when a bunch of money was burning a hole in my pocket. My cousin and I are loyal whiskey drinkers, meaning, we do not drink any other liquor than whiskey...About a month go I noticed your brand jump out at me at my local walmart (unfortunately), I purchased the bottle, and was very pleasantly surprised! My cousin stated, "If he could compare it to another drink, it'd be woodford reserve". So there you have it, a great bottle of whiskey with a price tag slightly more than Jim Beam or Jack Daniel's, with the taste comparable to a $50-60 bottle! We have found a new GEM ladies and gentleman. Pair it with a great Acid Blue Blondie cigar and enjoy!
this is sooo good it's BADASS...very very smooth! My wife hates whiskey but tried a sip neat and said pour me a little more! I drove 30 miles here in NJ as there are only 2 places that sell it and it was well worth the trip! Going back and stock up and tryin g to get my local store to bring it on board...nice vid..appreciate it! CigarDave Reply
I tried it because I like John Rich, the unpretentious concept, and the cause. I keep buying it because it's f'ing good! (Props to the owner of the Virginia Curve Liquor Store in Atlanta for having it on the shelf less than a week after I asked him about it.)
Sorry to disappoint you, John. but Kessler has been an American blended whiskey for over 50 years. My daddy (RIP) drank it most if his adult life. Your resources were lazy in their research.
I do support helping families of lost veterans. I don’t support getting drunk. My niece (20 years old) was killed in a head on collision by a drunk driving soldier. My cousin (15 years old)killed the day of the Super Bowl due to getting drunk behavior. How can we build American families if not promoting drinking responsibly? We can’t drink away our problems. Being drunk is a huge problem. Alcoholism destroys families. It’s not a silent killer. Time to fix this. It’s not a fairytale. A soldier was at the bar when he should have been home with his wife and kids, but is in jail now because he was so drunk he honed in on the car five college students were in on their way home for Christmas. I won’t ever condone going to the bar to get plastered. Just saying. Bible says, “Do not be drunk on strong wine.” Am I the only one seeing God in all of this?
