This is my favorite Who album, ever since it came out and I had it on 8-track.

One of my top 10 Who songs of the Many great tunes. The songs that never got radio play, but are just great. Pure And Easy, The Naked Eye, from Odds And Sodds, as well as Put The Money Down, and others. The Seeker, Sea And Sand, Dr Jimmy, Slip Kid, And... check out some old stuff. The live version of A Quick One from The Rolling Stones Rock and Roll Circus Video. There is a great HD version on youtube. For live also go to the video of their 1970 show at Tanglewood. It's same era as Live at Leeds but on film with very good sound!

Dreaming From The Waist has to be the most underated song in The WHO cataloge of music. This was written while Towenshend was going through his mid-life crisis of women, booze and being a rock star.

Townshend was 30 when this album was released, hardly middle aged lol.

The Who has a song called "Pure and Easy" that was intended to be on a concept album from The Who called "Lifehouse". Lifehouse was abandoned as a rock opera but some songs from it ended up on the "Who's Next" album. In my opinion if "Pure and Easy" had been included on the original Who's Next album it would right up there with Won't Get Fooled Again and Baba O'Riley as far as legendary status goes. Pure and Easy is a masterpiece. But sadly, only diehard Who fans are familiar with the song. I'd love to see you react to it!

First time listen for me as well. As you say, the music sounds like almost a formulaic The Who song. But, maybe it's because I'm a female in my early 60s, but the lyrics do nothing for me. I'm not sure even how younger ladies would feel about a song that's pretty much about a guy's wet dreams.
At least, that's what I got out of it. If I'm wrong, I'm more than happy to be educated about it.

I agree on the lyrics content. It kinda feels after a few listens as a phoned in The Who song but I could be wrong.

The Who are a blokes band. With quiet perfound lyrics aimed a males.

Maybe ,Illume , you could be right about content..Townshend is the guy who wrote "Mary-Ann with the Shaky Hands" and "Pictures of Lily .". I had this in 75 and actually like this tune .They have played it in concert..I am huge Who fan so there is little in their discography I dislike .However. not big fan of Squeeze Box ..

I have some Who stuff in my collection, but this feels a little formulaic. I wouldn't listen again.
I can't see any Pendragon reactions on your channel. Anything live by them is great.
