    I like your reviews,I was after one of these but always out of stock Everywhere I tried I ended up buying the pro lite sticks and 2+1 bars but now jag have released just the base units at half the cost of the complete set up,if costs an option this is a great alternative,don’t mind forking out on jag prices as you know it’s quality and will last a lifetime looked after right

      Thanks for the feedback Gary. Yeah Jag kit is always decent and will last a lifetime like you said mate. I’ve found often when I’ve bought cheaper stuff I’ve often ended up having to replace it.

    I have the JAG nano with the 2+1 buzz bars that too is an amazing peace of kit.
    If you can't go to the price of the RP1 I would highly recommend the nano with the 2+1 as it does similar but a little longer setup time,nice review btw👍

    I have one great bit of kit not the cheapest but nice to have a bit of well engineered luxury that will last.

    • @Operationcarp
      @Operationcarp  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah it’s expensive but like you say it is well engineered. I was very interested in the Saber x terrain pod however I wanted to be able to pack it away with the alarms so it just takes seconds to have our ready. Hope it does you well Pete

    Surely you could achieve the same affect of adjusting the width by how much you splay the legs out?

    • @Operationcarp
      @Operationcarp  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can have them at whichever width you want. There isn’t a massive gap between them though so if your using big reels they may touch. It also depends on it you want your rods all symmetrical and in line

    Check out Bespoke Angling Supplies, they make a better bag with a front pocket and bigger to allow for snag ears. Their stuff is top quailty

      Not for your average angler and won’t put more fish on the bank. Having said that Jag products are awesome but it’s all designer (fashionable fishing) I use a Quest trilogy pod and all comes apart as singles - no need to spend hundreds on pods including the Korda singlez (marketing bollocks) Try the Quest, very reasonable priced and do exactly the same. Every single bar is adjustable. If you don’t have 10 minutes to set your buzzers up then there’s something wrong 😂
      Spend the extra money on decent rods and reels. “If you’re into photography” c’mon …

      @@kevinspicer1002 I’m not endorsed or paid to say these things, just a personal opinion mate. My friend has Jag everything and fair play if you can afford to or warrant spending that kind of money.
      Some things are well worth the money, I use a Nash Titan. Brilliant bit of kit and with the type of fishing I do like week long trips in France, it is well designed, strong and can take a battering in storms etc - worth paying for. Like the saying goes - “you get what you pay for”
      I’m not saying all their stuff will be good, however, check out the 3 rod pod. It all comes apart as singles or can be used as a 2 rod with one separate, very versatile and has stabilisers. Strong and good quality bag. They sell on eBay and haven’t let me down once. £80 is a little different to the Jag price tag 😉 lots of newcomers coming in to carp fishing now thinking they need all these (in my opinion) overpriced products and it may put some off. At the end of the day it’s a rod rest?? Yes, very nicely made and will last longer than others but at £430+ and you have to buy stabilisers on top, but they give you 4 wood screws 😂 it’s crazy money, but … each to their own. If people saw my rods and reels they may have the opinion that it’s overpriced, but these are your tools - especially if you’re fishing at range for big carp with confidence.

    When set up for 3 rods how many inches are between each butt grip? Would big pit Reels almost touch each other or is there a massive gap.

    • @Operationcarp
      @Operationcarp  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I never fish three rods myself mate atm but I have seen someone else with an RP1 with three rods 3 big pit reels (off top of my head they were Daiwa) and they fit. Not loads of room between them and the handles but just enough. It is compact thou compared to some other pods

    • @bigtimebullysukofficial7754
      @bigtimebullysukofficial7754 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’ve got this pod and I’ve got Shimano big pits there is not a lot of room at all what you have to do is keep the reel handle down on every reel but I agree it’s absolutely amazing pod put the rules do you just fit with a little bit of space just

      Hi Gary, unfortunately I cannot say if those reels would fit or not mate. Some big pits so fit but I wouldn’t think all would.

    A good review and very informative, however, I Just thought I would give you some feed back regarding the framing and shooting of the video. Throughout this, the video would have benefitted if the camera was pointed further down, so we can see the all of the pod, and less of the picture above your head in the back ground.

      Hi, it’s a great very well made but of kit. The only downside with it really is the price and the distance between the rods. If you fish big waters with large reels the handles will be very tight (unless they fold). But it terms of look and build quality it’s second to none. Hope that helps mate

    The rear sticks should be the short ones not the long ones, that way the rods and flat due to the height of the alarms.
