By far the best pod I’ve used, worth every penny of the £300, as for people saying it’s unstable clearly you are not using it correctly never moved for me. Push the stubby spikes in the ground and it’s like a rock. Very happy, sold my century carbon pod to buy this.

Well they need to watch that savage bite at the start of the video Ben - yeah ok, it was a 3lb common but as I’m sure a lot of us know, the heavier fish tend to be slower takes. I wound the video back a few times and it did not budge, bearing in mind it was also a margin rod so that’s good enough for me!! It’s just a shame that on this model summit made them with fixed buzz bars.
Great little pod for most occasions. I use a cygnet qwik lok pod but am upgrading to to the Summit colosseum CB3 rod pod, yes it’s bigger and more expensive, but the way I look at is, I’ll never need another one … ever!! My rods and reels are both high end so this new one will finish it all off perfectly. It’s not about being a tackle tart - we buy and spend what we can justify at the end of the day (plus I don’t have a misses to try and justify myself 😂)
The cygnet is good but I have a severe disability in my back so need the rods raised higher. It also suits my European carp fishing needs with adjustable front and back legs meaning it’s extremely versatile (no I don’t work for summit 😂)
Just to let any know that may like the pod in the video, Birds tackle are doing them on offer - CB version is £279 and the SS version is £259

The black anodised bars rust! Even after getting back from a winters session and drying the pod / sticks. Looks the part until the rust starts to show.

I'm not a fan of pods but some venues really do require them, concrete banks or platforms etc, and if I ever decide I really must bite the bullet and get one, this will be the one I get, nice and low and super stable...as with everything in life...you get what you pay for.

I have the stainless version.... It is amazing and looks sexy as f**k!!! I cannot believe how strong and steady this is. When you have your rods on it there is virtually no movement at all when you get a big pull... Yes, expensive but, IMO, worth it. I have this pod and trust me it gets pulled over very easily. It didn't show in this as he only had a 3lb. Try a 10lb+ it gets ripped over very easy.
Biggest downfall with these pods is it takes some time to put together and dismantle never mind when it's cold weather things get stiffer.
So this reason I am selling mine, great pod just takes to long to set up and not stable enough and Summit even admitted it at the big one fishing show lol.
