Hi Jerome! Perfect timing for this video, ive been rooting a dozen or so PA cuttings which I plan to plant into a regrowth forest planting with really tight growth. I love the far left crooked tree, it makes a great contrast to the other trees in the planting!

Ive enjoyed your videos and am a subscriber. On other videos you have done. videos for like your specimin port. You mention not messing with the roots they are very fine and dont like to be messed with. Then here with the jade forest you say the opposite that they can handel root reduction np. In my experience with the ovata is it can handel anything chops mistakes, abuse ,even the frozen tundra while inside the house in a south window of course. Is there any difference to the care of the afra and avata jade ?

Do you let them grow bigger first before putting them into a forest setting or just plant them together to form a forest?

After how long would you generally get rid of the ground wires holding the tree's base, and how would they be removed? I guess it depends on individual species growth to prevent the wire cutting in right?

Hi Elizabeth! I do not have a video with dwarf variegated Jades as they are much harder to come by. You can treat your variegated dwarf jade the the exact same way.

I have a really big question, I just bought a very cheap dwarf jade bonsai (twin informal upright) that is wired, how do I know when to take the wire out?
Hey Daniel, I always try to leave a bit of the original soil when I repot a bonsai. In the next potting I will remove the remainder of the original soil.I probably left 10% of the original soil on these trees.
I once again thought Jerome is wrong about the front of the main tree. Then I got more negative and thought this isnt going to be a good looking forest. Once again youve proved me wrong Jerome. Why did I even doubt Perfect
TIP for everybody. Don't waste all that time picking and racking the root ball. Just grab it by the trunk and smash it against a rock or the ground. Shake off the soil maybe a little rake through and done. Now trim roots.

I would plant them together already! The more time they have to grow, the better the root spread will look.

Hey Ricardo, wait until the wire starts to dig into the branches and then remove them. Thinner wire bites in first.

The one thumbs down is from a very egotistical dwarf jade tree that wants to shine alone.
