- Marbled Gohma's initial fight in the Fire Temple with Yunobo was very forgiving. You could have the worst aim when it comes to using Yunobo's ability and he will roll up the walls and still knock out one of Marbled Gohma's legs. I really like the idea of using rewind and ascend to fight since it tests your own personal capabilities rather than relying on external sources. Also its so much cooler and fun this way.

Love how there’s no ceiling for phase 2 in the depths so gohma just gets mad and spews out more exploding cocaine rock
I noticed this too he just gets more mad and chucks more rocks at you
I'd been using recall against basically every enemy for ages by the time I got to this thing (even the dinky little rocks bokoblins throw will cause them to stare stupidly until the rock hits them) so I had very little patience for trying to blow the legs out. The underground version not being able to go up on the roof makes it even easier.
That said, it is funny how during the rematch when it gets to half HP it'll look up and seem to be confused/panicked that there's no roof for it to jump onto...
Yeah Gohma is a boss that relied heavily on the ceiling and Yunobo to shoot them down so when it was panicking that was pretty funny
Another fun way to fight it is to climb up its leg and run towards its eyeball. It starts shaking whichever leg you're on, so when you jump you can get launched unusually high.
Oh this is a new one I never heard of this one before, will give this a try!
Of all the ways I've tackled the Marbled Gohma boss within my 175+ hours of TotK, not once have I used recall on those giant rock bombs. 😂
Also I think if you're quick enough you can use ascend from underneath the boss to reach its weak spot. 🤔
My only concern with just rushing the boss without stunning it is it using its ground pound which can ruin your momentum but its definitely doable
Ya you can but it often sits on you when you go under it and without a stun it quickly will shake you off
Yeah I just did ascend and attacked the eye. Wait for it to try to hit you with a claw. If it starts going up and down, don’t try to force the ascend. Even if you get it, it will force you back out the bottom and you’ll get smashed.
Why does every damn boss in ToTK roar and scream? Even the one eyed rock spider with no mouth.

Lol, i didn't even think to attack the legs, i just kept rocket jumping up to shoot him and then smack the eye
This is also a very viable strategy that sounds very fun

SPOILERS: its funny cause i did this exact method when i fought him before the Ganon fights (mind you, i went down there without beating Yonobo story so i had no knowledge of this boss). just without the ancient blades and more just hitting him with melee weapons

The intended way is to use Yunobo’s ability to break its legs and make it fall so you can attack the eye on the ground
For the rematches I forgot that and just used rewind on the bombs to get myself to the eye.
@@aforty1 this is a risky maneuver because if you don’t do it quick enough it will explode mid rewind and ragdoll you back to the ground
@@SeeYa4D The trick I found was to just rewind it just before it's over the eye and then jump the rest of the way, that way when you release the rewind it falls to the ground and explodes instead of hitting you as you're doing damage to the eye. YMMV

It's 2023 and you're not just running straight at Marbled Gohma and Ascending straight through its underside? You have to waste time by Recalling one of its rocks back into it?
...Okay, that's probably smarter. Marbled Gohma really does not like it when you get close like that, and I get crushed a little about half the time I use these unga bunga caveman strats.

You can pretty much ascend anything as long as there is a way up
