Thank you for this video. I am going to try the Hunt 101. I’m new at calligraphy. I love the pretty copperplate but find it very hard to learn. I love to write and have always been complimented on my hand writing. I will keep practicing.
not an expert by no means, been writing about two years off and on, I'm kinda partial to the Tachikawa G Model nib , I can get much finer lines than the NIKKO G, what are your thoughts on the Tachikawa.
Hi Mary! I've only tried the Tachikawa a few times and to me it felt similar to the Nikko G. If you prefer the look that you achieve with the Tachikawa, then it's a great option to use!
Huh I didn't know it was called Hunt 101. I got some in a Speedball set and have always searched for them by Speedball Imperial 101. No wonder I got few and expensive results. Love those nibs! Sooo flexy!
I have tried several nibs now. I seem to have a problem with each one so I think the problem is me. I get paper fiber in my nib every time I write. How do I fix this problem? Thank you.
Hello! It might be the paper that is giving you trouble. We like to use HP Premium 32lb paper or Canson Marker Paper (see our video about paper: th-cam.com/video/7xgzIphd1Wk/w-d-xo.html). If a different paper doesn't resolve the issue, you could try playing around with the ink consistency, pen angle to the paper, and amount of pressure you're applying. Hope that helps! -Jordan
