@@BootstrappingBoondocker it should have no impact on Fourthwall. It was Printful that purchased Printify, not the other way around. If anything, Fourthwall might now be able to add some of the Printify items into their catalog.
A 30-minute video on how to use all the features of Printify would not bore me. It is precisely what I would love to see. Please do it. I'm sure it would be popular.
I love your videos, Sara! I'm turning 18 in a few days and the first thing I'm going to do is open an Etsy shop with Printify! You are very inspirational so thank you! Your channel is the only one I go to for advice! You are amazing and so cool! Thank you again! Have a lovely day! ANd thank you for this new video! 💖💖
the problem with printify : if you use multiple items from multiple suppliers, if your customers order a mix of these products you'll end up paying shipping on each individual shipment. printful is more expensive but at least you don't have that problem.
Thank you so much for this well thought out and elucidated video, Sarah. You take a lot of things into account that those of us who don't know any better wouldn't and you explain in detail why you believe the way that you do. Experience is the best teacher after all.
I didn't realise Printful make their own stuff instead of out-sourcing... makes sense now why Printify is merging with Printful - they probably got sick of not having their own lab. I'm starting next year, focusing on one product to begin with, and Gelato are the best option for me there. I'm considering focusing only on the UK as my aesthetic suits that market better. Smaller profits but I don't want to be some kind of 6 figure hustler, I just want my art in people's houses.
I used gelato. The lack in product selection and their mockups for Tshirts were horrible in the free plan. To get even the basic mockups you needed to upgrade or use a 3rd party. I only had 2 orders through them but hey both met customer needs and looked like good quality - both customers made videos for me. I like Gelato but they are limited to basic items. They integrated very easily with Shopify and Etsy (not as easy as with Shopify). Thank you for great video Sarah.
That is a very balanced take, you can appreciate both the good & bad in Gelato, and identify why it is not necessarily right for you but why it might work well for others, I really appreciate that!
@@WholesaleTed Thank you - I am about to set up a new ETSY store and do all TShirts with simple sayings, fun stuff. I'm going to do 5 new designs per day 5 days per week. I think I'm going to use Printify. I'm excited - Thank you for all your great videos.
Another great video, and thank you for all you do sharing your expertise! I have used all three of those mentioned. I love Printful for two reasons one I have sold a lot internationally with them, and I love them for pillows and blankets, as they not only print them in house they sew them too which is nice to share with customers for quality control. A Miami Beach resident, I love Monster Digital for t-shirts and tops via Printify, supporting local business for USA sales. However, the fastest shipping for me has been Gelato and I think they use some of the same printers in the USA as printify I designed and ordered a tote bag and received it within 2 days so may have been MD, but they really excel Gelato in Art Prints, Canvas prints etc... outstanding results quick shipping plus international PLUS they offer personalization within the design studio so they all have pros and cons.
Sadly, I haven't had a video perform this badly in TH-cam's algorithm for a long time, so I don't think I'll be able to make that video, lol, but I do appreciate it and wish I could make it!
A fantastic honest review of the 3 Print On Demand service companies Sarah without being basis towards Printify (the service Sarah uses). Love 🥰 the video and love 💓 Sarah.
Thank you! I do also use Printful too. But not Gelato of course, haha, but yes I absolutely understand why Gelato might be good for some people, but just not right for me 🙏
¡Muchas gracias! Great video as usual 🥰 I’ve decided to start with Printful and see if eventually I can use Printify for something. Although now reading that they’ve merged, I don’t think I will have a problem 😨
Two Advantages that Gelato has. 1. They offer automated personalization with Shopify integrations. 2. You can request a meeting with a PERSON at Gelato to help you with questions or problems. I don't work for Gelato, But personalization is getting bigger and more important fast! If Printify could do automated personalization, I'd ignore my #2, switch back to them.
Printify and Printful both have personalized products that allow the customer to personalize them within Shopify. Gelato may have different personalization features but I am surprised that a lot of people are saying that Printful and Printify don't have any - they do, they were the first ones to offer it, haha! I like the requesting in person thing. That's a downside for Printify. However, Printful has live chat. I much prefer the live chat direct with the print shop itself. With Gelato, you are scheduling a call with someone, who is then an intermediary between you and the print shop. That is better than why Printify offers, but it's much worse than what Printful offers, and it's still not transparent. What would be transparent would be getting to talk to directly to the print shop. Printify don't offer that themselves, but since they do transparently tell you who makes it, you could directly email or call the print shop if you did actually want to.
@@WholesaleTed I only see manual personalization for printify. You have to custimize each item yourself. With Gelato, the product is produced automatically based on personalization inputs on shopify. I've been searching for HOW to automatically personalize items sold/personalized on Shopify on those 2 platforms. I can't find anything
Contact Printify's support. I can't really post external links on youtube unfortunately, my comments get filtered as spam, but if you contact Printify's support they can hopefully direct you to their personalization tools!
I've been hearing a lot of printify international printing is outsourced and not alway good quality or shipping times. Gelato is supposed to have their own printing facilities in various locations including abroad and I've heard great reviews from many small businesses. So much contradictory information and now I'm more confused.
A very big problem I've encountered with Printify is that my customer can buy a mug, a sticker, and a t-shirt. And that's 3 different manufacturers and 3 different shipping. This means that either the customer will pay more or I won't make a profit...It's very sad. So I decided to try working with Printful. I think it should be better when 1 manufacturer does all the stuff
Sara, my main concern right now is pricing. I’m using Printify, but even with their cheapest T-shirt, I need to price it around $20 plus $5 shipping to keep a 30% margin. For popular products with double-sided prints, I have to price it around $40 plus $5 shipping. Meanwhile, I see many competitors which probably the print shops and big POD sellers are offering T-shirts for $10-15 with free shipping, and these aren’t marketing tactics-they’re genuinely priced that low(I have tested in my cart for purchasing). It feels impossible to compete with them on price. Any suggestions?
There are 3 things to keep in mind: 1) You do not need to charge $20 even on Etsy for a t-shirt profit margin to be 30%. Even on Etsy, the minimum price to charge is more like $17. T-Shirts with the Printify Premium subscription are around $9 if you pick MD manually. You might be basing that off of the non-discounted price which, as a serious merchant, you would never not purchase. So for a true profit margin, I would only look at the discounted price, not the non-discounted price. 2) Most top selling t-shirts I see do not price at this level because that would honestly be a mistake to. Instead they price at around $15-20 without shipping included and it being an extra charge - unless a customer purchases a $35+ order within the USA. I don't compete on price and I have great sales. I don't think I have ever, ever seen a double sided t-shirt priced for $15, not even once, so I honestly don't even know what niche you're in! But, either way, worrying about matching the lowest price tier is not the answer. I sell in the middle to high end bracket. I think it's crazy that people would sell t-shirts, especially double sided t-shirts at $15. That hurts sales, it doesn't help them. It's a myth that pricing low improves your sales. Studies show it has the opposite effect, it hurts them. But a lot of people make marketing mistakes on Etsy, tbh. I recommend watching this video here: th-cam.com/video/CXDbcrpGRrA/w-d-xo.html 3) I am also not quite sure why we're after a 30% profit margin specifically. If you'd like 30% that is great and we are blessed in this industry that achieving that is very much within reach. But do keep in mind that a good business profit margin is 10%. You can price for 30% but, well, an average profit margin that most businesses are stoked to be earning is 10%. There are many businesses that operate on much less than that.
@@WholesaleTed I realize now I misunderstood another TH-camr’s concept of a healthy margin. If 10% is actually considered good, that clears up my main concern. I was holding back and moving slowly with self-doubt, but now I feel confident about pricing my products. Thank you, Sara!
Hey ! We're two young French people who want to launch our own little clothing brand, but even after watching your video I'm not sure what to choose...
One thing that draws me to gelato is that they have integrated personalization. So u don’t have to change ea product ev time that u want to personalize. U do it in gelato and they give those diff options in ur store and print whichever one is chosen by the consumer. That’s my understanding anyway. I appreciate ur very clear honest review of all of them tho
Both Printful & Printify also have forms of integrated personalization, but it depends on the product what they do/don't offer - Gelato might have options available that neither of those two have. I totally understand that some people might pick Gelato - after all, it has things that the others don't (New Zealand print shops being an example) - I would just personally never choose to use it, because I can't do quality control, and that matters to me, but it might not be as important to everyone which is fair enough!
@ ya I get that. U explained it all really well. I actually don’t think I knew that the other two offer integrated personalization. I’ll have to look into that some more
Thank you for the helpful video! Printify makes a lot of sense but I found their listing creation process to be clunky and time-consuming. Does this get easier? I’m tempted to try Printful as I can’t see going through this for each product. Or perhaps things will change with the merger?
Covid really changed me. I used to not care about shipping from China. But the headaches caused by international shipping during that time really made me wary of building a business built on that. Now I personally stay away from having a business built on the idea of international shipping at it's core. I don't mind shipping internationally for customers, but now I personally want to be shipping domestically for my main customer base. So since for me that is the USA, I would never choose to have an item that only ships out from China. But again, that might be due to my PTSD from the covid shipping nightmares. LOL!
Interesting information and review. However on the Monster Digital (printify) Tshirt the design is completely off centered, which even with the best color and print quality makes it by far the worst choice... please give me your insight on this matter!
Oh, sorry, that was just me putting it on the table funny. Rewatching it, I see why it looks like that. Sorry! It's perfectly centered, I just didn't lay it out well, that was a mistake I shouldn't have made because it does make it look off centered!
Hi, 3 questions. 1) I am also in NZ and wanting to set up to sell in the US (just down the drag from you in New Brighton). What Credit Card is best to set up to pay for production of products and receive payments over? A NZ credit card or AMEX? 2) Is there a Printify / Fourthwall integration? 3) Have you ever set up the integration available between Printify and Amazon, and do you have any videos on this?
Yes they did! I decided to release this video anyway because they announced they're keeping both websites/apps separate. Printify runs by itself, Printful runs by itself, but they're now owned by the same company. Although in the future they may cross features/products over - we will see!
@@saulgoodman2018 And increase prices. I expect that is also why Printify have really been pushing Printify Choice lately. They want to choose who prints the product, rather than letting you make that decision. It can't be a good thing for consumers.
I'm suspicious that Printify/Printful merger may result in the same situation as Gelato in that they won't tell you who is actually printing your product. If their only big competition is Gelato, then why do they need to keep being transparent?
@@NZTiberius2023 Printful have said they will keep each separate for now. But in the future if that changes, that could very well be a problem. On the other hand, Printful also do have the ability to turn off third party manufacturers which they offer as an option for order overflow. As I said I turn this off. So that way, even if they did start to use third party manufacturers from Printifys catalog, in theory I could opt out of them (hopefully).
Question- I have been following you for years now and have learned ALOT. But I'm curious what your take is on the customer experience when they order multiple items from our shop but because of us not making and shipping the products show up at different times instead of all together? Is there a POD that will bundle multiple items that are going to the same address?
That will happen even if you use a single supplier for all of them because if you are selling different types of products they will get shipped in separate packages because different items have individual shipping requirements. If customers ask, you can tell them that because it is true.
When you talked about Dennys you made me 😔. I live in Kentucky which is part of the Southern United States. Almost all the food is fried. I live by a bunch of fast food and restaurants, but more than half only serve the Southern fried food. I can't have fried food that much because my stomach doesn't like it. Dennys was one of the few places that have nice salads. It closed a couple of weeks ago.😢😢😢 I find that you launching this video when the news came out about printful and printify merging.
translating colors from RGB to CMYK you're always gonna have a small deviation on the color basically what you see on the screen isn't exactly the shade of what comes out on the print
There are a few types of pod businesess. Bella canvas serves the ikea segment wile uniqlon serves midtier quality. Do a slapstick print or dtf it yourself etc. Is your narrativenfor the masses or for the brand aware segment?
I'm not quite sure the question, sorry! If you're saying that you think that Bella+Canvas t-shirts are bad quality, I honestly have to disagree. They are made sweatshop free, and are super comfortable despite also being affordable. I genuinely think they are a great product and I do personally wear them a lot.
Again that's impossible to say. I have ordered a mug from them and it was fine. But it was no better than a Printful mug or a Spoke mug. In saying that though, Gelato didn't make my mug. An anonymous print shop they work with did. Whoever did a review on Gelato that you watched say that, received their product from a different anonymous print shop. And chances are, your customers will receive their mug from a different annoyomous print shop too. So any reviews we do on Gelato are, well, pointless.
Oh it's pretty much immediate. On average it is about 1 minute, if you have it set up for auto fulfillment. You can choose to not turn auto fulfillment on though if you would prefer not to have it.
She's right. Don't use Gelato. About a month a go I use Gelato + Etsy and some products were not fully synced with Etsy or desync tomorrow and only leave 2 XL synced. It happened many times. Definitely avoid it.
@sarah - can you share anything about the longevity of the DTG printing on shirts - I have done 2 with printful and they have washed off within a year of printing … quality looked good at first but doesn’t have the same longevity as my Silkscreen apparel I normally do. I would like to offer DTG for more options to my customers but am worried about dealing with unhappy or customers not returning if their DTG tshirt don’t last
It is pretty normal for it to wear off after a year of washing, customers have never been upset with me nor expected miracles with the prints, haha! Water is one of the most corrosive substances we come into in our day-to-day life, it isn't realistic that a print that gets washed throughout a year would remain on like it did on day 1.
Printify can't do quality control because they don't make products themselves, so they can't inspect it. That is why they have their print provider score. One of the key parts to the score is how many complaints products are receiving. If products get less compliants/returns, the higher the score. So Minster Digital had a 9.4/10 which was the highest score, indicating that - when I was filming the video - they had the least complaints and quality control issues, but that is all based on user reporting, rather than Printify themselves literally inspecting orders.
@@WholesaleTed They can. They can say 'want to sell on our platform, send us 5 shirts per month of our design (and have something encoded in it to make sure it is from them, like an 'Easter Egg') printed by you after the initial samples to get listed. Do they have a cut off, like 'anything under 5 stars = suspension, 2nd chance, then removed from the platform if failing that.
Your reply didn't disappear per-say, I just had to approve it. Please don't take comments not appearing it when you post it as personal even though it genuinely feels personal because it's genuinely really annoying. It is because my channel receives a lot, a LOT, of spam & scam comments of people promoting fake stuff. People have lost many thousands of dollars as a result of these scammers. I get the heart breaking emails from the victim and it is really horrible. It is a serious situation and as a result to combat this, it is very, very easy for comments to either get automatically filtered, or moved to my review section, as a precaution by the TH-cam algorithm. Most likely, because you're referencing a website/app that is off of TH-cam, it has a higher chance of getting filtered in some way. This is again not personal, it is just unfortunately that the scammers are ruining it for the rest of us - which really sucks.
Haha I'll be honest, I do t-shirts for two reasons. Firstly because it outsells by far all other products, no other product sells as well as t-shirts, they are easily the biggest money-making product in the industry. I only had time to talk about 1 product without the video becoming insanely long, haha, so I picked t-shirts. But also secondly because admittedly, it is what I have the most experience selling in. A comparison of wall art would be interesting though I like the idea!
@@WholesaleTed Please do it! I trust your opinion. Also, what do you say to all the TH-camrs who say there isn't enough profit on t-shirts, and that one should focus on more expensive products like hoodies or phone cases?
I think that is an insane take. T-Shirts far outsell any other product. They are also one of the products with the highest profit margins due to the fact that t-shirts have economies of scale working in their favor. How can anyone say there isn't enough profit in the product that: a) Has one of the best economies of scale b) Has the most customer demand by far Truly boggles my mind. Perhaps it says more about their ability to sell t-shirts tbh, rather than anything about t-shirts itself. Phone cases or hoodies don't come anywhere near close to the sales of t-shirts.
@@WholesaleTed Thank-you very much for your in-depth reply! I have a backlog of women's T-Shirt designs, and you've convinced me to put them out there. ❤🙂Thanks from Australia!
Haha that's just youtube doing that for me, I didn't do it myself! It has ai that converts it into all languages! I have to give credit to TH-cam for that one
Fellow New Zealander here! I’ve been working on print on demand for years now (because of you) but I just cant get sales. I feel like I have to charge too much, the Americans printing their own tshirts are charging basically half what I am. I can’t go any cheaper until I can get printful pro. How much do you sell a bella canvas with a print for?
Thank you! A few months ago I met a Kiwi who after watching my videos opened a NZ-focused POD store and has been successful. He used Printful as his print provider. But I do agree, it's much more expensive here. That is one of the many reasons I don't focus on New Zealand, and just focus on the USA as my primary market.
Hey Sarah, I want to sell my products to Taiwan or other asian countries but I am not sure which one to chose because if i use printify and supplier as monster digital it will take much time to ship the product and much shipping cost and if i use printful partner facilities it will not be a great quality product. So, what should I do now
Does Printful not have any of their own print shops in Asia? I thought they did have at least one. But honestly, Asia is not my specialty, I would much rather sell my products within America so that is what I know most about!
Im wondering if manually chosing the manufacterer is a canva premium ability, i cant seem to choose as soon as i click on the tshirt it automatically chooses for me
Do you mean Printify Premium, not Canva? Either way it's available to everyone! If you can't see the option I recommend getting Printify support to assist 😁
I mean the Theme Simple is not available already Please do a tutorial using only mobile phone if you can with complicated products because I am a beginner and I don’t know how to use a desktop as much.. I believe that many people like me still not to familiarize to use a desktop
I haven't used Simple for a long time, I now use Craft, you're watching an old video! I'll also be releasing a new Shopify tutorial in the coming months - hopefully that will be even better!
I honestly don't have much experience with them sorry. But I do with Printful so I can say I have at least had good experiences with Printfuls internal international facilities if you do decide to switch to them!
It is a personal preference if you want to sell personalized products. I like my stores to run passively, so I can do nothing and still make money, so I don't sell anything personalized that requires any edits, but that means I miss out on selling the most popular & highest ROI products. So it is just a personal preference what you value more
See it's interesting that you've had good experiences with Monster Digital because just in the past few weeks I ordered 3 shirts from them and they failed the test. Shirt 1 was not cured properly and in transit to New Zealand the design had stuck to itself and peeled off when I carefully unfolded it. Shirt 2 was definitely not centred correctly, and shirt 3 was fantastic as I had hoped all of them would be! They also neglected to include the printed insert. So, if this was going to a customer it would have definitely been a fail despite the one shirt which was very nicely done. As a new seller, I'm concerned at a 66% failure rate! I am still awaiting the same 3 shirts to arrive from SwiftPOD. I'll settle for a slightly faded look as long as they are cured properly, centred properly, and the insert is included. If all 3 shirts are acceptable, then I would have to choose SwiftPOD for my customer orders. I can't risk a customer receiving a clearly very poor quality print. It's so hard trusting our business' reputation to a third party printer.
I appreciate your perspective! Production is not perfect and there will always be faulty orders. On a mass scale across many orders, I have had great experiences with Monster Digital. But that is just my experience and I appreciate everyone sharing their perspective. One thing I will say is that I always get bad quality t-shirts if I order them as samples and don't pay full price, no matter the POD supplier. No idea why, but it seems that perhaps some quality control checks get skipped and that's how they can afford to offer them at discounted rates. But that's just a guess, I can't say if that is true or not, I just have noticed a pattern which is why when I order samples I always pay full price now.
@@WholesaleTed Thanks Sarah. I paid full price for my samples through Printify. I just placed the order as a manual order as if I was ordering for a customer, so that shouldn't be the reason. I am hopeful that I just got a Friday afternoon print where nobody cared about quality. It's just unfortunate that it was the order that I am basing my choice of provider on. I will bear in mind your positive experiences though. Thank you so much for making these very helpful videos! 🙂
LOL! Have you seen this video? Did you watch it? Did you see how many clips I used? How much b-roll and stock footage is in it? How many products I had to order into New Zealand, and then film? Do you think I did that in 1 day? I wish, that would make me a superhuman, LOL! No, I have been working very hard on this video for multiple months 🙏
Our overly intense viewer: Anxiously awaits to hear which is the best. "So, which one is the best?" "Actually, none of them." Our overly intense viewer: NOOOOOOOOOOOO! Sorry, but I just had to tell that joke 🤣😂🤣
Yes their companies did merge! However, they announced they'll be keeping the brands, websites & apps separately - at least for now. So I decided to release this video anyway. If they choose to merge the brands together into 1 single brand, I will make an updated video.
They all need better quality control. For goodnes sakes, look at the shirt before you ship it. I've had 2 bad prints in the last month. The good news is that Printify will replace/refund @ your option and without hassle. Just need to send them photos.
It depends as I said on who you are working with. Printify don't print any of the shirts themselves. They work with other print shops. So the quality control is entirely dependent on who you choose.
@@WholesaleTed Understood, I was talking about Printify's suppliers, specfically Monster Digital in this case. Their Miami facility is excellent in my experience! Got some bad prints from their facility in Juarez Mexico. It is still Monster Digital; t-shirt graphic was over 2" off center and had several holidays. You can't choose which actual M.D. facility will print the shirt, it's based on destination proximity. My point is that all suppliers (Monster Digital in my case) should go through a quality control inspection after printing and before shipment regardless which of their faclities prints the order. Don't leave the inspection up to my customers. They should all inspect their own work. Printify made good on immediate refund. Thanx!
@@NZTiberius2023 just a tip. I don't know if you bought them with discounted coupons or as a sample order. But in my experience, if I buy from any POD company using discounts, the products I get are worse quality. My guess is they skip a quality control step but that's just me speculating. Because it is a constant pattern. Therefore if I am testing a POD provider now, I only pay full price, I never do discounted orders.
I run an eCommerce store in Australia. I have only ever had to do one refund, and it was for a hoodie from Gelato. Here is the word-for-word email I received from the customer about the hoodie they received: "Hi, I hope your week has been a good one. I just wanted to let you know some feedback in regards to the windcheater. Unfortunately, when I unwrapped the windcheater the smell was overpowering in regards to some sort of chemical that I could not identify. I am now on the third wash of the top and whilst the smell has definitely dissipated, there is still distasteful aroma. To be honest I am very reticent to wear it due to the chemicals that must have heron on/in the fabric. The other thing is that with so much washing the material started to ball already. I wanted to let you know privately rather than a public review as all the other products were great, as was your customer service. Cheers" The customer found the experience so negative that she didn't even accept the voucher we offered (i.e., because she wasn't planning on making another order from us). I pulled all clothing from my store and will be cancelling my account with them at the end of the year. Apparently, their mugs are okay though lol.
Thank you for sharing! Honestly, I think then that the customer is not a good fit for DTG clothing in general because that smell happens with all DTG t-shirts - it is a harmless agent (at least, based on the scientific evidence we know currently) that helps ink bond with fabric. So if you'd ordered t-shirts from Printify/Printful they would also have that same smell.
🤯Also... INSANE NEWS UPDATE! Printful just merged with Printify. It happened yesterday which is why the news is not in this video. It doesn't change my review though because Printful announced that they'll keep both websites & apps separate for now - they now are just owned by a single parent company.
This may however change any future reviews. I'll probably do another updated one in the future!

I'd love to see a 30 min video giving a tutorial on all the features would be helpful
But not Gelato of course, haha, but yes I absolutely understand why Gelato might be good for some people, but just not right for me 🙏
Another great video! Super informative! Thanks as always!
Loooooved your video! Has been the best and most transparent ive watched on this topic so far! ♥
Thanks for the in-depth comparison.
Great information! A lot to think about before moving forward with Print-On-Demand 🤔
Another great informative video Sarah. Thanks for sharing.
¡Muchas gracias! Great video as usual 🥰 I’ve decided to start with Printful and see if eventually I can use Printify for something. Although now reading that they’ve merged, I don’t think I will have a problem 😨
I would love that video actually of using Printify
Which video do you mean? All of the videos I referenced in this one are live on my channel, you can go & watch them right now! 🌞
OH! I see what you meant, haha, LOL! Sorry! Thank you. Maybe I will make it one day, will have to see!
Among all the TH-camrs and business gurus u r by far top 10 in the world. As someone who has been to Christchurch 3 times I also am proud of u. Hehehe
There are 3 things to keep in mind:
1) You do not need to charge $20 even on Etsy for a t-shirt profit margin to be 30%.
I recommend watching this video here: th-cam.com/video/CXDbcrpGRrA/w-d-xo.html
3) I am also not quite sure why we're after a 30% profit margin specifically.
Thanks a ton for the upload! This was really helpful :)
Hey ! We're two young French people who want to launch our own little clothing brand, but even after watching your video I'm not sure what to choose...
That is a decision unfortunately you will need to make yourself based on each pros and cons! It is a big decision.
5:01 Is that Sarah or a stock video model that looks like her?
Haha that is me!
I’ll have to look into that some more
Thank you for sharing your review
Thank you for the helpful video! Printify makes a lot of sense but I found their listing creation process to be clunky and time-consuming. Does this get easier? I’m tempted to try Printful as I can’t see going through this for each product. Or perhaps things will change with the merger?
Printify has added umbrellas which looks fun to design for. But the only production company for them is in China which adds shipping costs.
LOL!
I use gelato and have had no issues at all and customers have been happy. I have also purchased for myself and again no issues. I would recommend 😁
Fair enough, I appreciate your opinion and perspective!
@WholesaleTed thanks and also I rudely forgot to say great work, you do an amazing job for all of us wannabe entrepreneurs 🙏🏻😁 thank you ❤️
Oh you didn't need to say that at all, but that is very nice of you. Thank YOU for watching!
Same. I've been using Gelato for several years. No issues.
If there’s an issue with an order who and how do you contact please? Printify or the company?
If this question is about Printify specifically - you contact Printify. They then contact the third party manufacturer.
@@WholesaleTed thank you
Interesting information and review. However on the Monster Digital (printify) Tshirt the design is completely off centered, which even with the best color and print quality makes it by far the worst choice... please give me your insight on this matter!
Oh, sorry, that was just me putting it on the table funny. Rewatching it, I see why it looks like that. Sorry! It's perfectly centered, I just didn't lay it out well, that was a mistake I shouldn't have made because it does make it look off centered!
printify just purchased printful a little while ago
Hi, 3 questions.
1) I am also in NZ and wanting to set up to sell in the US (just down the drag from you in New Brighton). What Credit Card is best to set up to pay for production of products and receive payments over? A NZ credit card or AMEX?
2) Is there a Printify / Fourthwall integration?
3) Have you ever set up the integration available between Printify and Amazon, and do you have any videos on this?
What about the quality of Tshirts themselves? Are they cotton 100%, and the quality of cotton/fabrics?????
Great video!! I am working with printful because I get a feee website. The free website is o my available for US sellers….for now
Did Printify and Printful just merge?
Yes they did! I decided to release this video anyway because they announced they're keeping both websites/apps separate. Printify runs by itself, Printful runs by itself, but they're now owned by the same company. Although in the future they may cross features/products over - we will see!
@@WholesaleTed It's only a matter of time before they just merge operations then?
80 degrees in NJ right now. Some gelato sounds good right now.

It closed a couple of weeks ago.😢😢😢
I find that you launching this video when the news came out about printful and printify merging.
If i have to pay printify and shopify, how would i ever make a profit? Dont they suck up all the profit?
translating colors from RGB to CMYK you're always gonna have a small deviation on the color basically what you see on the screen isn't exactly the shade of what comes out on the print
@WholesaleTed i bougt one an it is silky smooth fit as a pyjamas. I prefer heavycotton for daily use. Maby cause of my gen x experiences.
Sara I've heard Gelato is best for non fabric items
Again that's impossible to say. I have ordered a mug from them and it was fine. But it was no better than a Printful mug or a Spoke mug. In saying that though, Gelato didn't make my mug. An anonymous print shop they work with did. Whoever did a review on Gelato that you watched say that, received their product from a different anonymous print shop. And chances are, your customers will receive their mug from a different annoyomous print shop too. So any reviews we do on Gelato are, well, pointless.
Hi, in your experience what is the average amount of time between when they charge your credit card and when you get paid for the sale? Thanks.
Had same problem
It is important to inform customers to wash at 30C on the inside out, this significantly improves the durability of the print.
Does Printify not have quality control though? They can just get samples from the companies and rate them themselves; besides the customer ratings.
@@WholesaleTed My reply seems to have disappeared... also they can have a separate Printify Judged score v customer feedback...
@@WholesaleTed Ahh, bless you Sarah.
Please do a review of which provider is best for POD wall art on canvas and on paper. You always do T-shirts!
How can anyone say there isn't enough profit in the product that:
a) Has one of the best economies of scale
b) Has the most customer demand by far
Truly boggles my mind.
Hi, I see that your videos have captions in Hebrew. How do you make that happen? Thank you!
Can you use both on one site?
Hey Sarah, I want to sell my products to Taiwan or other asian countries but I am not sure which one to chose because if i use printify and supplier as monster digital it will take much time to ship the product and much shipping cost and if i use printful partner facilities it will not be a great quality product. So, what should I do now
Does Printful not have any of their own print shops in Asia? I thought they did have at least one. But honestly, Asia is not my specialty, I would much rather sell my products within America so that is what I know most about!
@WholesaleTed yeah I will consider that
Im wondering if manually chosing the manufacterer is a canva premium ability, i cant seem to choose as soon as i click on the tshirt it automatically chooses for me
Do you mean Printify Premium, not Canva? Either way it's available to everyone! If you can't see the option I recommend getting Printify support to assist 😁
I mean the Theme Simple is not available already
Please do a tutorial using only mobile phone if you can with complicated products because I am a beginner and I don’t know how to use a desktop as much.. I believe that many people like me still not to familiarize to use a desktop

Hello, this was such a great video! I am thinking about selling on printify. Do you have any print providers that you prefer for international orders?
I honestly don't have much experience with them sorry. But I do with Printful so I can say I have at least had good experiences with Printfuls internal international facilities if you do decide to switch to them!
Also, so you have to pay for the base cost of the item? I thought that they handle the purchase, take their cut and then send you the rest.
@@WholesaleTed Ok. Thank you! If I decide to move forward, I will have to do some strategizing 🤔
Guess what, Printify and Printful merged! So that debate is settled .
Hey Sarah, what do you think about selling customizing shirts at first?
It is a personal preference if you want to sell personalized products. I like my stores to run passively, so I can do nothing and still make money, so I don't sell anything personalized that requires any edits, but that means I miss out on selling the most popular & highest ROI products. So it is just a personal preference what you value more
out of curiosity why are the t shirts so wrinkly? Is that how you received all of them?
Good question - that is from me handling them and making them wrinkly myself, that wasn't the fault of any print provider or packaging!
Hello Sarah, Do you have any experience with Teemill ?
I don't, sorry!
I’d like to know why Shopify is so effing hard to put in your system?
Been working on it for a week now what the hell?
I will have a new shopify tutorial coming out this year. I think it might simplify things for you if you are having issues setting it up!
Is printify pop up shop just for one product or we can build pop up shop with multiple product in same store ?
You can put multiple products in a pop up shop if you're using that!
@WholesaleTed great please i have a question about if integrate printify with wix i need a up front cost ??
@MohamedElhilali-d7v why don't just ask them?
What upfront costs do you mean, I am sorry? There is an upfront cost to Wix, it isn't free, you have to pay for a subscription.
How much are you charging for creating a store for Etsy
I don't do any store set-ups or coaching, I'm sorry!
Monster keep cancelling my sample orders for no apparent reason.
Anyone try with wall art with these print on demand company?

Yes their companies did merge! However, they announced they'll be keeping the brands, websites & apps separately - at least for now. So I decided to release this video anyway. If they choose to merge the brands together into 1 single brand, I will make an updated video.

"...Printify is a tick company." 😂You New Zealanders!
Thanx!
That is a fair point - thank you for sharing your experience!
@@WholesaleTed Monster Digital had 2 out of 3 of mine fail, so it doesn't seem to matter which provider you choose. 😞

Here is the word-for-word email I received from the customer about the hoodie they received:
"Hi,
I hope your week has been a good one.
Cheers"
The customer found the experience so negative that she didn't even accept the voucher we offered (i.e., because she wasn't planning on making another order from us).
@@WholesaleTed OMG! I actually didn't know that. I just thought the product was dodgy lol. Thank you always for the education! :)
