If there is other dlc i failed to list in the description, please leave a comment here and list what dlc. I will thank you and add it to the list. Hope you enjoy the video! I would also love to hear feedback of my presentation of the lore! If you see any mistakes let me know!
How about dune next ? Like start off as a vassal that eventually breaks off and leads a holy jihad against the galaxy and you become galactic emperor by force
@@anthonyd55 thanks for reminding me to come back to the dune series. I've actually never got into the lore besides the movies. Once im done listening i could definitely consider it.
@@volairen yea I tried it but be aware it absolutely cripples your early unity income to the point where you have to fire at least one commander. I think I was making 1 unity a month right out the bat lol.
I made a semi Cadia Guardsmen build, its not themeatically as accurate, but it plays like you would expect them to. Its driven assimilators with subteranian, guardian matrix + heavy focus on ground armies + planet defence. I posted the full build on Volairen's video about driven assimilators/borg THE PLANET WILL BREAK BEOFRE THE GUARD DOES! btw, how do you keep your empire size reasonable when conquering EVERYTHING?
You kind of don't. You use economy and fleet power to overpower your tech and tradition disadvantages. And overwhelm any tall empires you come a crossed. It is risky, but so is building no ships and going all tech. Or playing tall in general. I think its interesting you a chose machine empire for guardsmen. Could you explain your reasoning there? Not criticizing btw, just curious. I'll check the build on the comments. Thanks again! Also on empire size. expansion is a must, and any other size reduction bonus you can get. Such as domination.
I'd disagree on the Imperium being fanatic purifiers. Definitely xenophobic with default rights set to Purge (and the occasional exception for particularly useful slaves, such as Jokaero), but not full on FP. For one dialling down the xenophobia allows for spiritualist/militarist/xenophobe, which IMO better reflects the Imperium in the 41st millennium. (swap spiritualist for materialist if you're doing the 30K Imperium). Also, even the 40K Imperium is capable of diplomacy when it's absolutely necessary, even if it's usually just "hey we should stop shooting each other temporarily so we can both shoot at the other guy we're both currently shooting at". As for what could take it's place, there's quite a few options both mechanically and thematically, but I'd go for Death Cult (Necroids DLC), since the Imperium also engages in routine sacrifice (in their case to keep the Throne running).
I guess we would have to agree to disagree there. I mean there is just too much evidence in the lore of the imperium literally purging the galaxy. Like a large part of the lore is the imperium kosing aliens, However i still think you could still be mostly accurate and still remove FP as long as you keep xenophobe. As far as routine human sacrifice, i'm sure there maybe be some examples in the lore but i have not really seen much in all i have read seen or heard. I will concede though that the imperium does have a small few examples and exceptions of working together with and sparing aliens. Eldar obviously. However i still stand by the imperium mostly, mostly being FP by default. If there isn't a special situation the general order of the imperium is to Destroy anything not considered human on site. This is simply fact in the lore. In both 30k (heresy) and the current setting (40k).

Good build but I would go distinguished admiralty over philosopher king. You can get a level 7 emperor right out the bat.
You know that was actually my third pick when i played it lol! So your saying admiralty is better than king? interesting. I can always try it!

F*** yeah!!!! I love it 😍🎉
Now that's what i like to see! Glad you like it!
Love seeing build videos!
@@SloppyDeck great, i definitely think i will keep doing them.
well, I made it slightly different, but that suits well
I have to try it
They’re is a two headed eagle emblem.
@@JamesSemaj-h1h are you sure? Does it actually LOOK like the aquila?
@@volairen yeah
@@JamesSemaj-h1h I'll check again. Could you post a screen shot in discord?
@@volairen I would but it isn’t letting me send images in your discord server. It is just two spaces left of the eagle you used in your video.
Good luck
Thanks.

Drop fanatic purifiers and use imperial cult.
@@KingKrabvoldIV a valid option. But you will also need to drop under one rule if you do that...
