As a child it was heartbreaking to learn that Wasim sir was not an Indian😂True gentleman love him to bits. People like him should be allowed in India whenever they want to.

@@Blissful3394They do not think that way. Most Pakistanis feel that since they are Muslim, they ruled over India. But they are taught to hate Hindus even in their school books.
Wasim was allowed to enter India when he was with his wife and she was almost on death. The Chennai airport official did not ask his visa when they received him when he hospitalize her. He is respected.
Only person i admire from pakistan is him, pure gentleman, no bs, no religion talk between cricket, talks directly from heart, respect indian players same as pakistanis, never heard a controversy about him in india, the sultan of swing wasim akram.🔥
My generation grew up seeing the mutual respect and friendship Sachin and Wasim shared . Even today both Babar and Shaheen are very good boys are cordial with our team . People need to understand it’s a game and these are young boys just playing and trying to do best for their respective countries, just be easy with them.
I was from the same generation. Dont recall any friendship between Wasim and Sachin. They were cordial as any of other players.
So clearly you are not ardent cricket fan and never seen kind of hostility between these teams even during last lage of 90’s when Shoaib Akhtar tried to hot sachin intentionally.

@@sharmassiddharth I think you need to rewatch wasim Akram’s matches against India in Sarjah and when India went to Pakistan 97/98 and what happened in Kolkata test 99. The reaction of Pakistani cricketer changed after India become Economic power house don’t be in any delusion.

In 2010 at mumbai airport, i had the absolute privilage of seeing wasim akram... he was with guess who, muttiah muralitharan... i just saw them with their luggage behind their security, talkin to each other.. and being a huge cricket nut, i instinctively waved and smiled, wasim akram smiled and waved back!!! Bhai...unforgettable moment!!!

In 2010 I think Wasim akram sir was in india and he was coming in our cricket trials where I saw him and he is so humble person and helping and giving tips to cricketers in so polite manner thats my childhood memory and that was and that is so precious love from India to Wasim akram Sir (legend, great personality , and good human being ) 🙂🙂

I remember the one day matches in Sharjah. India used to continuously win. But once it lost due to Miadad last ball six. After that India started losing continuously. However many of these matches were suspected to be fixed. Lot of bookies were involved. Dons used to sit in Pavilions. Film stars used to attend and sit in Dons boxes. This is the period Azar was Captain and was accused in match fixing along with certain other Indian players. Fixing was so rampant, the Indian cricket board finally refused to participate in Sharjah matches .
I think the Bowler was Chetan Sharma, I remember watching it as a kid. Those days the uniform was white universally!
Growing up I had a poster or Wasim Akram. The poster was Wasim with his bowling action from one of the 1992 World Cup match. 31 years passed and I still think about that poster 😮. It was that poster that attracted me to cricket and I become a lifelong cricket fan
