This lanka is not the original Lanka. According to Ramayanam Lanka was built on trikoota parvatam ie in the vally of three hills. What is in the picture is astore built on a rock. Probably the kings who ruled lanka might have built it for some purposes. Present sri lanka was called Simhalam ie ?ion. See now also the national flag of lanka has lion on it since lanka has turist attraction all posible infra structure is was developed to attract people with Ramayana story. According to RAMAYAN Maruthi leaped from Rameswaram and flew 100 yojanas ie approx 800 +Km. Preaent lanka is seen from last point of Dhanushkodi of Rameswaram. So I request not to repeat this post again.
