Still remember the registration, OMH 59L. Bought from a shop in Barking Road brand new. Had it until I passed my driving test and bought a Ford Corsair.
Had a 1976 fs1e DX with Kenny Roberts stripes paid £100 in 1977 but was not on the roads untill 1978 ???? Sold it for £40 in 1979 to Street machine in collier row Romford where has the years gone
I loved the old Fizzers....had a FS1E-A on an M plate in the met gold, would love to have one of those or the second of my 16e.r peds, a Malaguti Olympique on an R plate.....one of only 6 in the Scunthorpe area and sold by Cooper kawasaki in Scunthorpe. 1 into 2 exhaust, clip-ons, nose fairing, 2.5 gal racing tank in red, loads of alloy to polish and a 5 speed box which took it to about 65mph as standard. Though, to improve its running, it was necessary to swap the downpipe for a single.LUV IT!
Gorgeous old peds! Ive mostly owned crappy Tomos.. were popular in my highschool town. I've also had a 76 puch maxi and 77 batavus. Love a good moped though. I hate how often people refer to scooters as mopeds.. do you see any pedals?
Takes me back to when i was 16 years old & i had a 1977 R reg de ristricted Suzuki AP50 & all my mates had either the DT50 or the RD50 WITH BIG BORE KITS!!!!! I had 62 mph!!! standard out of it down a hill tanking it & none of my mates could keep up with even with a 65cc big bore kit GREAT FUN!!!! It always turned heads in the town as nobody had seen one for years unfortunatley being a teenager i half wrecked it & sold it for peanuts. I'm now deeply regreting on selling it now :-( VERY SAD FACE
2:00 AGRALI?!? O.o So strange, a Brazilian company named AGRALE took the operations from Ibramoto, the company that represented the brand Garelli in Brazil. Curiously, the "Junior" was the first moped under the name Agrale, and the last under the name Garelli, it was named "Agrale-Garelli Junior"
i had a dt 50 it was shit i got done by the fizzies,ap 50,yer and gilleras even got done by the honda ss50 and i should have thought about that a little bit more before i bought it lol MEMORIES AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH NICE.
Fizzys and AP50s were great, but the speed kings among those 70s mopeds were the Fantics. I had the Super T and it was much quicker than the Japanese bikes. The downside was build quality was just horrible.
Love the comments here still thinking a fizz would do 50mph uphill 2 up etc. some of us move on and don't believe our teenage hype. I had a Garelli Rekord now that would break the ton 2 up even wearing my school satchel blah blah blah!
Fantastic memories thanks ! I had the Garelli Rekord Monza, Quick little bike and great induction sound ! Waaaaaaaaahhhh LOL :-)
Ah bless a Fantic Chopper just I used to have.
2 strokes love them xx
Had a purple FS1E bought from Ken’s Motorcycle Shop in Newcastle 👌

I had a Honda SS50 in 1976, that started me off.
I'm still heavily into bikes to this day, but a wee bit bigger than 49cc these days!
respect to the guy putting his pride and joy on the back wheel, that ss fizzy is worth 4 grand plus!
I just bought myself a fizzy, love it.

I have to admit to owning a Garelli Tiger Cross. I had a Dutch friend at school who tuned up one day with a FS1P. It was blue and caused quite a stir.
Ooh my Fizzy AP and Fantic chopper cool!
