@@kuks3960 depends on engine and "steuerzeiten" and on your exhaust layout on a 2 stroke and by the way if you maybe get more knowledge from watching yt videos you will learn that a 2 stroke rlly depends not on torque :D its horsepower and revs I rebuild tune and destroy couple 2 stroke 50-125cc i was on scooter drag racing .... i had scooters with 20 hp + on the weel . so dont tell my anything about 2 strokes .

Van Veen is more german or not? I don't know from when to when Jörg Möller was the leading tuner at van veen. The company nevertheless is dutch. And not forgetting the great dutch jamathi project from the great jan thiel.
Awesome. I remember back in the 1960's there was a 50cc class at the Isle of Man TT. I think the Kreidler had a 12 speed gearbox. Just remember to keep your hand over the clutch lever...……..

In 1964 my mate & stood at Brandish as the 50s swept down from The Creg. They approached that quickly we at first thought that they had swopped the 500 TT to the morning.
Wow but every time that Rev counter dropped below 11000 rpm I was urging the rider to stir that gearbox and keep it in the powerband and found my head tilting over round the circuit. I noticed that as the riders confidence increased he was definately getting quicker. I loved it!!!

In the old days the werks Kreidler had a 12 speed gearbox - the reason was that the 50cc engine only could be driven in a very narrow Field of revolutions say around 500 up in the 13000 revolutions - another problem was the problem of syncronising the 2 carburettors at 17.5 mm - yes the old Kreidler race engines had 2 valves one at either side of the engine , the later van veen engines just has 1 valve and a 28mm bing car , the only thing the old days has as an advantage was the high octane fuel with led additive - remember it well becauce it smelled very speciel .........
In early 1972 a red Honda SS 50 was a birthday gift, because of it's 4Stroke sound. A chainsaw was unthinkable! But what happened? All of my Kreidler RS riding friends drove circles around me, waiting smoking at the next meeting point. 😢

Ein Freund hatte diese Fantic Straßenversion? Ich schwöre 165 kmh ,nach einer Testfahrt schlotterten mir die Knie,das Teil schrie in jedem Gang auf und zog wegg ,wie eine Fuhrie...unglaublich.All meine Freunde damals,Herkules, Zündapp, Sachs,Kreidler,Garelli,Beta,Malaguti, Fantic.,ectr ....Ein Traum von Motoren,individuelle Technik ,für jeden etwas dabei.Das war noch mehr als Mopedfahren das war ein Lebensgefühl.Nicht dieser einheits Brei an Am6 ,und seine Chinesischen copyen. Die 50er drehten alle bis knapp an die 18.000 Van Veen war natürlich etwas besonderes, aber auch die übrigen Tuner wussten, wie man aus einem Schnapsglas anständig Power erzeugen konnte. Ich war von 1975 bis 1983 Mechaniker bei meinem Freund, welcher in der 50 und 125er Klasse DM / EM / und ein paar WM Läufe bestritt. Bin beide Klassen probeweise auf dem Hockenheimring und Salzburgring gefahren. Voll geil 👍😉

very interesting but you need to keep it on the pipe more it looked like useable power was from 11500 to 14000, 10k and it was flat , raced itom in the 60,s nowhere as quick as this
There's a noticeable surge in power from early 13,000 to 14,500 which is where- being a tuned 2T - "it's at. " 12-15 % of his power resides there . Dropping to 10k or even lower means a long slow climb back to top speed. When he kept it up there at 13 to 14,000 He was well up there with the crowd. So he can ride with the best but gotta get on top of 2T, the style is different to 4T. Theres little torque to speak of so always keep it pinned , no 9,000 rpm turns, keep it boiling, stay above12,500 at all times, bends an all. Schwantz said his ambition was to ride a complete race with the throttle pinned. Good chap to follow...he rode 2Ts I believe.

Wie das Ding ab 10.000 erst so langsam "kommt" um dann ab 12.000 endgültig mal langsam Drehmoment und Leistung aufzubauen: Einfach herrlich.
It's crazy how it got a rev range up to 16k rpm but the powerband it self has a 2k rpm range roughly in the 12.5k rpm to 14.5k rpm

Rev counter starts of at 8,000rpm up to 18,000rpm on a 50cc lol it's a old cbr250rr I would love a shot of rev up to 21,000rpm the sound like a old f1 car lol

very interesting but you need to keep it on the pipe more it looked like useable power was from 11500 to 14000, 10k and it was flat , raced itom in the 60,s nowhere as quick as this

12-15 % of his power resides there .
Dropping to 10k or even lower means a long slow climb back to top speed. When he kept it up there at 13 to 14,000
He was well up there with the crowd. So he can ride with the best but gotta get on top of 2T,
the style is different to 4T.
Theres little torque to speak of so always keep it pinned , no 9,000 rpm turns, keep it boiling, stay above12,500 at all times, bends an all. Schwantz said his ambition was to ride a complete race with the throttle pinned. Good chap to follow...he rode 2Ts I believe.
