As an evangelical Christian but former Catholic, I have to say I miss some of the liturgy of the Catholic Church (which I'm assuming is similar to the structure and content of the Anglican Church). I find it is becoming more and more difficult with modern music and "worship" styles in the Protestant evangelical churches to worship in a corporate setting. In particular, reverence for God seems to be lost, sometimes the music seems to be more of a performance than worship, and many of the musical lyrics lack content--few words repeated over and over for too many minutes. I miss the old hymns (but not the organ music!) which are so rich in content and meaning that help lead me into worship. I've really enjoyed Bishop Dobbs' well-thought-out dialog--good discussion and excellent points.

@Owl350 True. Did you watch the whole video? Or did you just stop in to leave a comment. I am Giving it a few minutes to see if there is any wisdom in it.
Perhaps it can be labeled a "myth" ... But just where did that myth come from? Recorded history is both limited and short. Written language and communication is limited (less than 10,000 years) science, religion, stories, history... Things get written down as a record to share with others and to future generations. Much of it is metaphoric. Metaphors to live by to help guide us in our pitifully short allotment of time we get to live the most productive, engaging, and creative way... A life of significance. A life of fulfillment. If it is "only a myth" as you state, it certainly is a good and powerful one, one that has relevance and should be considered as a guide to live life to its fullest.
Really interesting. Agree fault is in the church. People want to hear better messages, they want to hear worship that is culturally relevant and the entire drama of worship. Worship is something that leads into the gospel. As far as the gospel is concerned, all of these man made versions are so incorrect when people are looking for truth. In my church I use the Aramaic NT and a Hebrew OT. This then is the true and traditional. Common prayer should be free, open. Gospel of Luke is my favorite books of the New Testament Catholic actually meant a united people. One church should exist and our society sees that. They want women to preach and leave the church because this is often not happening. I still get people asking why I don’t shepherd a church.anymore ? I am too Ito sick to shepherd.. I have learned that this central doctrine is key to growing a church. Finally, thank you for discussing your faith. I just want to Thank you for your thoughts and hopefully you will think of mine. As an ex-Catholic and ex- Assembly, of God , you can understand my. feelings about the British.
I want to add that limited service times are a disservice to the church as are silly jokes that have nothing to do with the Word of God, never mind the insistence on using the KJV. That is incorrect in so many ways. Time to go back to basics. Freedom in true cultural worship and the use of the true Word of God in Aramaic Galilean still spoken today and ancient Hebrew not any of the other
Will and Trust Jesus is still the French word for: We are Host is service and we all serve one way or another... we welcome our family home and if we have to heal their feet by soaking them and washing them... Jesus was a nurse... Jesus was probably a woman in the camp that the boys appreciated having there... The pastor that said: the book of Mary doesn't exist... and east and west doesn't exist is a moron... Mary kept the best books. Jesus hated skimmers because it caused inflation. The book of marriage sustains us all. Solvency is not extending credit in a cash based system to those you KNOW are not capable and again that the churches pick up the burden to help those who need it. Sustainable model for building trusts is not investing the family trust to a failed business model that forces you to make enemy with extended family. We don't let words cause disinheritance because that would be allowing theft by laughing heirs.
The freedom of our keeping our continuity and family trust is the freedom from re legion when political climates create scenarios where they program people to make claim on THE ONE MINE we all share.... in order to remedy contracts that were created and abandandon because of social climates created by polisci... some want a larger share than they can manage... and once our family trust has been by and from people who pretend they are entitled to it and entitled to treat you or practice on you in order to detach you from your ability to pay your debts those bills are lobbed into the deficit which all our future selves share the burden

As an ex-Catholic and ex- Assembly, of God , you can understand my. feelings about the

Host is service and we all serve one way or another... we welcome our family home and if we have to heal their feet by soaking them and washing them...
