Tony was a stranger to them so they were a little apprehensive. I get the impression they were worried he was with Mykelti because she was famous from being on the show, but they couldn't break the fourth wall so they were not allowed to say it. Well, didn't he have a bar mitzvah for Logan, and decide he was going to live slightly Jewish when they were children? The Prophet of their faith always had weird rules and Kody would get into weird ideas that some things were important from the Old testament Bible and rage that his family wouldn't listen to him...
