Specific settings, groupings, etc
I second this

Came for obsidian, stayed for your great background song choices. Time to play some of these games again.
Hi there! Creator of Vanilla AMOLED theme here. Just wanted to say thanks for the shoutout! ❤
Be sure to let me know if there's any feedback you want to make about the theme. I'm allways happy to hear back! ^^
Thanks for the great theme!! Definitely my favorite minimal dark theme for Obsidian out there!
@@cyanvoxel My pleasure! ❤️
One of your subscribers brought me here after an email exchange. Will definitely bring more customization options soon(tm) ! ☺️
Hi @SakuraIsayeki I can't seem to find your theme in the plugin list. Was it removed from Obsidian?
@@JvP000 Hi! The theme is still alive and kicking. Just make sure you don’t tick « light themes only » when searching for Vanilla AMOLED :)
@@SakuraIsayeki Thanks for confirming. I must apologise, I was looking in the community plugins rather than Themes, that's why it wasn't showing initially
Watching these kind of aesthetic videos just brings me calm
This is art man, could you make a full guide for beginners on how to get started with Obsidian, I would literally pay for it 😂😂
that PARA and Zettelkasten hybrid system is exactly what I needed! thank you so much!
never realized obsidian could look this clean and each different note style so varied. im just getting started w obsidian and know nothing about css but you’ve convinced me to bash my head against a wall until i can somewhat replicate what you’ve got going on.
also after finishing the video i just wanted to say the scriptwriting + editing were top notch. keep up the great work brother.
Being able to customize the themes of notes like this while still keeping everything in simple markdown files is one reason why I love Obsidian so much - And CSS isn’t too bad to pick up, you can get a lot going with just the basics like changing colors and font styling and all that. I’d recommend checking out W3Schools’ CSS tutorials, they’ll get you on your feet in no time!
This was absolutely great to watch. Can’t wait to see what other content you put out!
I need to study 100 hours of lessons and take a thousand pages of notes so that I may correctly learn to use my note-taking application
Dude this is amazing!
Thank you so much for putting in this much effort! It's people like you that really help communities grow!
Thank you so much for making this video!!! I love your design and file sorting system, and it has already helped me with my notes and inspired me to start journaling! This is hands down the best video I have found to walk someone through what I would call a "default" obsidian guide!
Thanks for this video man! I started using Obsidian pretty casually about a year ago. This video inspired me to start really upgrading my Vault over the last few days. I’m using your CSS snippet for the sidebar folder colors and I absolutely love it. Awesome stuff.
Such high quality videos! Awesome channel :) Keep it up
Absolutely phenominal video, thanks for sharing!
Your videos are so good, thank you for the in-depth tour!
This is awesome. Love the colored folder and notebook theme snippets. These are fantastic and so nicely implemented. Thank you for sharing!
This is amazing. I suck at CSS, looked at the snippets and they pretty simple yet so effective and pretty. Loved this video, thanks
Amazing content and explanations, soothing and hits that itch in my brain that I've been craving to kickstart my PKM journey.
Please keep up the great work!
Wow! Amazing video, and what a BREATH-TAKING vault also! You are my personal hero now!
Amazing setup and customisation! Very inspiring, thank you :)
... also your scripting and video editing skills are awesome, with perfect voiceover!
I cannot stress this enough. This video is legit perfect it just adheres to the frequency of my entire being or something. I have a lot of similar interests as you editing (after effects mostly). I go to a CS uni and I can’t figure out how to make a good note taking system forever. It seems like all the information just fades in and out of my brain over time.
I’m always thinking about how to optimize/organize everything to the point that I don’t even try to start with it.
One day I’d like to be more like you! Can’t wait for more videos to come!
oh dude i feel you on like a cosmic level
just downloaded obsidian and going crazy with it, this video is amazing dude i feel gallons of motivation rushing through my veins
@@ameyagupta7285 we’ll make it brother. Let’s achieve the coolest of graph views there ever was!
I have been using obsidian, not as effectively buy your vault I'd so aesthetic pleasing to look at I am so happy you shard the framework of your vault.
Thx for sharing. Added a few things to my vault, especially a PARA organization and rainbow custom sidebar.
This is simply amazing! Thank you so much for this video.
I'm new to this 'Obsidian World,' and I'm glad I found this video because it was helpful. It motivates me to improve my vault and make it look better. Thanks for sharing such great content ;)
Thank you for your work. I can now open my Obsidian vault and feel gratified just looking at how gorgeous and perfectly aligned things are. So satisfying to the OCD part of me. :)
Excellent content. Thank you for sharing.
Ok, now we REALLY want to see the process of creating such aesthetic videos. Subscribed for that.
amazing. purely therapeutic. thanks for sharing
i love your videos! I wouldn't mind whatever topic it is, but your editing and voice is mesmerizing. I hope you keep it up!
This video has really helped me organize my notes.
This is so overkill in the BEST. WAY. I LOVE IT 😍
Super organization, superb visual styling.
I did not know that obsidian can look this good! Thanks for this and I'm definitely subscribing! hope to see some of your cool tricks in obsidian in the future!
Not only is this a gorgeous set up, but also such a great concept for an organization method. I've been feeling genuine anxiety at trying to figure out how to reconcile ZK style organization with my actual needs for a note taking database. I think your PARAKasten may just fix that. An incredible quality of video for so few subscribers btw. Idk what kind of videos you make but you deserve a sub for sure.
Great video, great explanation, gorgeous vault.
Wow, love the style of your vault!
Awesome awesome video. I was really confused about mixing Zettelkasten and PARA before watching your video. Thanks a lot and I which you all the best for the growth of this channel.
PS: The video production and quality is just 🔥
I loved seeing inside your second-brain. I did download your snippet after the last one, but haven't used it yet. Probably will, especially if I start doing more with my Rocketbook stuff. Thank you.
loved this, you're gonna make it big bro
Dude this was soo cool !!!
So awesome! Thank you. I would love a video on how you set up your Maps of Content at some point. Appreciate all the effort you put in here. Super helpful.
Man... this job it's insane!! Congratulations for your effort and for share with us. I'm studying cybersecurity, in a middle of a hard course and I my notion insists on break de connection. So searching I find obsidian and the links feature. I'm a middle of a change of taking notes method here, and your video it was the bigger help! Thanks!!
I'm gonna try use the vault now and change some things for my purposes.
I never ever comment on TH-cam videos but just wanted to say your content is INSANELY good and I'm sharing your videos with friends! Keep up the good work and I cant wait to see more!
You can't imagine how dissapointed i was as i clicked on your channel recognizing you only have 5 videos. 😢😢
I didn’t even notice until you said so. DAMN IT. I came from the TagStudio video. I subbed and turned on the bell tho!! Pls more videos
@@snarf8115did the same thing. Downloaded Obsidian and everything based on his stuff.
I want him to do a full hour long dive on his vault
Thank you very much. I ended up using your snippets and rethinking my Zettelkasten.
dude, this vault is crazy. I already love that 😍😍👌👌
Thank you for sharing this one.
Absolute gem of a video for someone like me who struggles to organize all their notes, thoughts and documents!
Thank you for sharing your Vault. It is AMAZING. I am in the process of building something simmilar for a really big, broad and complicated project I am inmersed into. This project will take some years to be completed and I need to sotore information for the long run.
You gave me a lot of great ideas on how to store information and how some things could be organized.
wow, i didn't know you could do anything this cool with Obsidian. Thanks for sharing.
I initially came here to get inspired by ideas of how Obsidian is used for managing the accumulation of notes, but I end up loving the aesthetics and customization you implemented in Obsidian, as well as your combination of the Zettelkasten and PARA method for organization. Great video!
After having used Evernote and Notion for years, I always had the feeling that they quite weren't doing the job I required them to do. I always had a hybrid approach to note taking, and after seeing your first video about digitizing field notes inside Obsidian, I knew it this tool was what I was looking for. I'm so glad I found your channel, and am grateful that you are sharing such useful tips to make my second brain look so aesthetically pleasing haha! Thanks a lot!
Really nice vid. Thanks for sharing, your idea with the combination of the Zettelkasten and the PARA system really intrigued me, working on something similar for myself right now. And like always the production quality is awesome! Even more so for the inclusion of the ff music. ; )
You’re absolutely insane and I love it so much
There's a plug-in I think you might like. It's called leaflet, and it originally is used to add pins over a fantasy map. You could make cool legends for your graphics! 😊
This video scratches my organisational itch the best way possible! I recognised a lot of formats and processes I use for my own notes.
To be honest, I'm trying to make my vault more simple functionally, I like being able to use only minimal plugins and themes. But even though I know I'm not going to go as far as you, it's really inspiring to see your system!
This inspired me to try out obsidian once again. Esp. being ok not having it so optimized at the start, but optimizing as I go.
I love the process of productivity optimizing, it helps me engage into work that I usually put off bc i enjoy the environment I am in and therefore feel more inspired to accomplish.
I had felt a bit off about obsidian and notion at a way as a time sink for productivity but I think it doesn't have to be a constant battle for the best system, just the system that works for you **right now**. I spent a good chunk of time making my terminal feel pretty awesome, maybe it's time for me to chk out obsidian. great video, subbed :D
Damn this is freaking awesome
Thank you for this great content. :)
Unexpected RuneScape making its appearance at 3:33!
Brilliant video, I had not heard of the PARA method before, makes things a lot tidier.
Hope you keep the amazing quality content coming!
Thanks so much!! PARA has definitely helped bring some structure to my vault and files in general, although my Archives are still typically a bit of a mess lol. Also great to see a fellow RuneScape fan!
incredible content. Thank you
Incredible estate Obsidian!
Thanks! I love it!
great system. the video has been useful to me. also appreciating the video creation competence.
Please make more Obsidian videos. I need to use Obsidian like you do!
Freaking love it! 😂
Man, that is incredible!! I could not imagine how far can go with obsidian.
I like the crash course on zettle and para, I've wanted to get into both, but this simplified it enough for me to have a proper understanding of.
Zvolt introduced me to the terms but his exmaples go so far in depth (good but overwhelming). Your explaination was super approachable, and i feel like i could free-style a similar system off the bit of context you provided.
this is a very cool video! i really liked it
this was amazing haha
the vault is cleannnn man
This is making me move to Obsidian by the way. Thanks for this clean video overview.
Legit moved to Obsidian and downloaded your templates, thanks. I cam back to this video so I can spell Zettelkasten properly :D
This is great! This is fantastic! I love this video so much. Although, a part of me feels guilty to have access to a wonderful, organized and well thought out obsidian vault... Meanwhile you probably had to go through trial and error to get it to be so organized 😕 i hope you keep uploading and i look forward to any future content you post! Obsidian or anything else.
First time subscribing to a TH-camr in a while, holy crap this program is amazing! I struggle to keep track of my Projects (Area's I suppose haha!) with flurry's of Google Docs, tabs and applications. Its been a nightmare. I just set up some really basic stuff based on your template (thank you!) such as definitions for all of the categories and I am already in love!
PS:
You should totally make a Discord!! Would love to talk to other creators/have people for Obsidian Support
Fun video! Loved hearing the FF9 music in there too! Game doesn't get enough love!
I really like your combined system! Was wondering how your map of content works and how you use the ID’s i motiver you give each note! Fantastic video 🎉
Oh my god, coalescence OST from risk of rain, I freaking like it so unexpected to hear there. Cool video, Keep up the good work ) wish you good luck
Dude your videos are awesome, you've a incredible way with customization. If you did a video about the use of CSS in a nutshell for obsidian would be utmost...
Thank you so much!! I'm thinking about doing exactly that for my next Obsidian video, actually!
Thanks for sharing this amazing video! How do you make that dropdown in your cssclasses list property?
I really like your mix of zettel and PARA, will be stealing that
I've been using Obsidian for years, and my main vault started off with importing years worth of content from my previous notetaking app, Simplenote. I spent some time while I was setting it up organizing things into a rough heirarchy based on how they were tagged in Simplenote and tried to maintain that structure while adding to it, but I've been thinking recently that the entire vault needs a massive re-organization because the current system is becoming incressingly less usedul to me. This video may well prove to be an excellent jumping-off point for when I start that rework.
Damn good stuff.
Thank you, as support I subscribe to this channel.
that's insane, pls make more videos
I love your snippets!
Is there a way to also use the colored sidebar feature on subfolders?
madness
good bro
Daily note colours, mine now 😅
Oh my god, Risk of Rain OST in the background, a fellow JetBrains Mono enjoyer, you've earned yourself a sub! Definitely going to be trying some of this stuff out on my own Obsidian config. Now I can't wait until the day you hopefully stumble across Neovim and go down that customization rabbit hole lol
As a recent Neovim user myself, it's probably just a matter of time haha!
Man, the 80s song theme is perfect
Muito obrigada!
i would love to be able to see how you study japanese in obsidian! such a cool vault!!
I'd love to see a more detailed organization video and especially how you organize your map of content
YOUR VOICE. and thanks for this, I could use some of this cool stuff!
Whenever I find a nice, clean, straightforward note taking app I find a video of someone going completely overboard with it an thereby ruins it for me. Its super pretty though, for sure.
It was so good. I literally logged into different account to click like and sub button the second time.
Hey, great video. I am curious, what is your Maps of Content folder?
8:28 The example game design document you have up sounds like a more well thought out version of an idea I have tried to make before. Gosh I hope you have some success (or at least publish the ideas). I have been failing to make that game for a long time.
I haven't used Obsidian yet but after the 2 videos that you made it looks very interesting. Do you have by and chance some useful resources regarding the PARA and Zettelkasten organizing systems? I am pretty much very new to this stuff so i am not sure where to start or even just more example of what to put where and when to link notes in Obsidian.
This is incredible! I love the look of the notes so much, was so not ready to leave handwritten notes but couldn't resist obsidian. TY! Also, did you get the same error as me where Iconize just doesn't show the icons? They're still assigned, or so it seems by the options, but I'm not seeing anything
Thanks so much! And sorry, I've never gotten that error before... Maybe you need to make sure that the boxicons pack is downloaded in the settings? If it's already there, then I suppose try seeing if deleting and re-adding an icon rule will fix it.
Ooh, seems like a very nice thingy u got there. I can't seem to get it to work though for some reason, especially the daily notes. Do you have some special background scripts running to format everything correctly or something? Would be very nice to have a more in-depth tutorial on this setup I think.
