I would suggest while dealing with that kind of strong wind to put the stake on two ends same side. securing the canopy, pour water where you put the stakes then secure the ends with the sand bag, then inflate.
@@robertmills9270 ...don't have a pic of my setup with the Soli and the sandbags. I purchased eight (8) carabiners in which, that provided me the ability to hold down my Soli in the high wind conditions.
Man thank you for making this video. I want to get a soli but i could just see my 350 dollar investment blowing away down the beach while trying to set it up. You have alleviated my concern. How did the stakes hold overtime?
The Soli inflatable shelter is still a good investment. It's great for recreational games I attend and I'm always solo setting up the tent. Unfortunately, strong wind is not it's friend. Glad I had sand bags to prevent a disaster!
I’m sorry, but it seems you intentionally made it more difficult. I have a soli, and it’s rally not as hard as you made it to be. Why didn’t you stake the legs first? Thus should have taken you 5 mins. You made this difficult on purpose it appears.
To @mattflournoy1655: No need to feel distress, express your misfortune, or any sympathy on my TH-cam post. The manufactured stakes was inadequate to safety secure my investment of $350.00. Utilizing sandbags was preferred route-of-travel. I welcome your Soli TH-cam post (with high wind condition) in which, I will not post any comments... but, laugh excessively as the Soli canopy floats away into the Pacific, Atlantic, or Great Lakes.
Great video as I live in Hawaii and this is exactly what I wanted to see. Thank you
No problem
You’re better than me! I’d never be at the beach on a day that windy! Growing up on lake MI, you’d be sandblasted!
I've been to the Great Lakes and the wind is on a different level
Nice thanks. You fought with that for 20 minutes. Pretty much knocks this product out for Florida.
The wind condition is the common denominator for anyone utilizing the Soli. My efforts has still has not deterred me from the company or the product
Great video!
...I couldn't let the wind defeat me
Have you been happy with the Soli overall? Did you get extra side walks or mesh panels? I’ve been considering one.
Yes, the ability to perform a solo setup of a tent... priceless but, without the windy conditions

Can you give a link for where you got those sandbags?

I strongly agree
I recommend that you use the stakes as "Plan B". Purchase the sand bags to secure your $350 investment.
