I e tried both and I prefer the frame that comes with the M17. So I agree with you. Although, what I did with mine was purchased a full size grip frame, with the longer dust cover and the safety delete. During firing, the safety really bugs me, I like having it but as long as I practice good safety fundamentals it preforms a lot better in my hands training, plus you can really get on the slide locks to get into battery quicker after a mag change. I was actually wondering if anyone prefers the original module. I do a lot of X grips on my p320s mostly for the ability to add a magwell. On the m18 though I just really like what it comes with. I would maybe buy a default carry frame without a safety but It's just not something that bothers me much.
Thinking of purchasing a full size black X-Frame - I wonder how the shorter mags look with that one (or the one you have) - since it looks like you filmed with an extended mag... I also think the full size may look a little better, extending all the way forward...
It fits flush with not much space between the mag baseplate and the magwell. If you go to Sig's P320 builder studio, you can play around by matching different pieces to see how they look before you buy them.
Yeah this fits both the M17 and M18. I like it better than the Wilson Combat grip. I found the WC grip to be way too thin and the side texturing to be way too slippery. The X Series is generally for people with larger hands but even objectively speaking I think it’s just better. My personal favorite frame though is just the standard P320 frame in the large size. Everyone’s preference will be a bit different to fit their exact hand size.
This is the carry size. Only difference between this and the full is that the full has a longer rail that extends to the muzzle on 4.7” barreled slides. Everything else is same size and dimensions.

The x frame is a great upgrade
The extended beavertail for me seems to help with contolling muzzel flip a little.
Do they offer the safety cut with the Compact (15 round) size?

The m18 frame is to slick. Doesn’t look like this is any better.
