Pro tip if you’re watching a video like this without lyrics. Pull up the lyrics on your phone or something on the side. So you can follow Zach’s bars. His lyrics are truly revolutionary and meaningful, also full of historical references that you’ll be able to learn from for years.
Maynard is lead singer for Tool. I don't have enough room to tell you how awesome Tool is! Great reaction. To answer your question at the end, my guess is that if Maynard was there it was probably a festival. But they drew crowds that size on their own as well.
glad you liked it. That's Maynard the lead singer of Tool. Tom's guitar said 'arm the homeless'. I went to one of their shows went to the pit got kicked in the head and sprained my ankle, loved it.
Hi Jasmine your greatest reaction bring me to your Channel. now I'm a new subscriber, This recommendation for you to react is mind blowing "LEAVE THE DOOR OPEN" by 4th Impact.
Because this was a live version, it was hard to hear the lyrics, and because this was not a lyric video, you may have missed some of the truth dropped by Zach De La Rocha: "...a finger to the land of the chains; The land of the free? WHOEVER TOLD YOU THAT IS YOUR ENEMY; Now something must be done about vengeance, a badge, and a gun; I rip the mic, rip the stage, rip the system, I was born to rage against them; Now action must be taken, we don't need the key, we'll break in." And then at the end he drops some more truth: "Yes I know my enemies, they're the teachers who taught me to fight me: compromise; conformity; assimilation; submission; ignorance; hypocrisy; brutality; the elite; ALL OF WHICH ARE AMERICAN DREAMS; ALL OF WHICH ARE AMERICAN DREAMS; ALL OF WHICH ARE AMERICAN DREAMS; ALL OF WHICH ARE AMERICAN DREAMS."
Rage is fire! I mostly listened to Metal back then (Pantera, Korn, Pro Pain, Metallica) and a little bit of rap. With Rage I had both. rap and metal crossover. greetings from Germany the 90´s baby! Wild Time.
I think that was lollapalooza in 93 with tool, RATM, Alice in Chains, Primus, etc... I was at the one in Raleigh that year. Maynard from Tool came out and sang that middle part. Zack form RATM joined for a Tool song as well. I miss the days where music actually was performed by musicians unlike today.
Just dropping a comment to add to the votes to do TOOL! Rage and TOOL are brain food, so always have the lyrics for the deeper experience. Enjoy the journey!
Alright I see ya, check out "down rodeo" "people of the sun" "killing in the name of" "vietnow" "renegades of funk", I could go on forever. Maynard is from the band Tool also a great one to check out.
Tom's guitar says, Arm the Homeless. It is a constitutional right, we are told. You shouldn't have to pay for a right. Also, arming the homeless is a great way to insure they're treated better.
Hey Jasmine! Love your reactions!! And I’m loving how into the music you are. They truly are masters. RATM lyrics are insane too, and so relevant, so if you can pull up their group videos with the lyrics alongside or on a sep screen that’s the ideal experience. I just saw these guys live and it was exactly the same as it was in 93 when I first saw them- same energy, same skills and same crowd. Keep rocking! 🤘
I know a lot of people say go for lyrics first with this band but I think it is cool you are digging the music first. Their sound is absolute dynamite. Lyrics will be icing on cake if you already like the music.
If I was at this concert I'd be in the front on the rail, because it's Rage! I am usually at the front anyway, if I love the band. The mosh pit is fun, which is the roughest area just a few rows from the front usually. I'm older now so I would probably not have enough energy to survive the mosh pit anymore. haha. It's a fun way to release some energy though.
That's that Jim Brown Sports Century right there. th-cam.com/video/PJW8WMIAxSw/w-d-xo.html. It's 51 minutes but it's so IN DEPTH. (it's poetic the way they speak about him) . They talk about the civil rights stuff, and the actual man this guy is.. Not a perfect. dude, but as REAL as they come. And done alot of positive ish. I promise you'll love him. I know this a dif video, but I didn't wanna forget. Keep doing that work, and homing your skills.
Although this is one of the all time great live bands, I recommend the album recordings for first time listening. There are nuances to this music that I feel you're missing, lyrics being one of them, and you've already done two of their best songs and missed so much because you watched the live versions.
Their beats are dope no doubt. Their lyrics are way better though. These give words to the people that need to be heard. As awesome as their live concerts are for reaction videos lyric videos will serve you much better. Or you could bring up the lyrics and read them as they perform live. Otherwise you are only getting half of what they are putting out.
Hi,, greeding from overseas.. Try to check out some Strange!! for Americans.... German. Stuff:,, Jennifer Rostock - Es war nicht alles schlecht,, (es was not all bad...)..... Or:, NullPositiv - wo Rauch ist, ist auch Feuer (strong female voice.. About war!)... 🎸✌️Enjoy

It's also because Maynard was featured on the original studio cut of this song. He also went to school with members of the band.
@@DravinD81 and Adam was a bass player in a band with Tom Morello before they went off the their respective bands.
His guitar says "Arm The Homless".

Rage one of the most important bands for lyrics but the instrumentals are so good you can just vibe out
I still have a Free Mumia Abu-Jamal poster that I got from a Rage concert in the 90’s and I still keep up with the case to set him free
Just dropping a comment to add to the votes to do TOOL! Rage and TOOL are brain food, so always have the lyrics for the deeper experience. Enjoy the journey!
The Chorus guy in the back is Maynard Keenan from the band Tool !
You need to react to Tool- I'd start with the song The Pot. Tool are INCREDIBLE!
Hey-o! That's Maynard James Keenan, the singer for Tool sitting in with them.
Alright I see ya, check out "down rodeo" "people of the sun" "killing in the name of" "vietnow" "renegades of funk", I could go on forever. Maynard is from the band Tool also a great one to check out.
bulls on parade please rage against machine this song is awesome

Wake up with lyrics, vietnow with lyrics- Mic Check with lyrics- Down Rodeo by Rage against the machine

Oh, the singer from Tool. I never noticed that he was singing along.

Most Excellent reaction. Live RATM is off the hook, but you should bring up the lyrics on your phone. Maynard is lead singer TOOL. 🤘🏼🎧🤟🏼
every song they wrote back then, holds true today politically
You have to react to their performace in the 1993 pinkpop festival!
When listening to RATM u gotta watch the lyrics video
Although this is one of the all time great live bands, I recommend the album recordings for first time listening. There are nuances to this music that I feel you're missing, lyrics being one of them, and you've already done two of their best songs and missed so much because you watched the live versions.
You should pull up lyrics. A lot of gem you are missing in this song
I'm sure u now know it's Maynard, so now you must react to 'the Pot' by Tool ' Sober' etc❤❤❤
Always do a lyric video with Rage and Tool
Their beats are dope no doubt. Their lyrics are way better though. These give words to the people that need to be heard. Ahhhh you right I should try that
They can sell out two of these, and please don’t sleep on Zach’s lyrics, he’s one of the greatest to ever do it.
Definitely check out Tool!
