    channel deserves more subs, purely for the amount of info you give. Plus great form tweaks/advice on lifts.

    Thanks for this!
    Btw, have you ever done any videos on training/programming for natural vs enhanced athletes? I feel like that'd be a really interesting topic.

    Hi Brendan thanks! How to include slingshot on the 3rd day? I am a female lifter and my bench is at the snail speed and it is fatiguing as well. I want to feel the heavy weights but I don"t know when to include slingshot. Looking forward to the program.

    How much additional volume in terms of sets of non-bench specific volume would you throw in for hypertrophy (RPE 7-9) here for chest? For example adding 3 sets of incline machine / dumbbell press , some fly variations at the end of the bench days? Would it have too much interventions with the program?

    Another fantastic video, Brendan, much appreciated!
    I was wondering how you would implement the bench and squat (like in this and the squat video) DUP/sub max style into your intermediate program from youtube.
    1. Would you add the 12 weeks of bench/squat into the volume block and/ or the intensity block?
    2. Would you decrease volume/ intensity on other exercises in order to maximize specificity on the bench and squat during these weeks?
    Thanks a lot man, keep up the good work :-)

    Why did you choose 4x4 on comp B week 5-8? To get more volume in since the % is low’ish @ that 1RM %?

  • @coolirvin

    Currently on the third week of the squat program. I can feel the gainz coming, but i am having trouble with what weight to use when using the RPE system

    • @liveslowlivesimple
      @liveslowlivesimple 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      in my experience RPE takes a good 2-4 months to get used to. i always undershot it for the first 2 months or so

    • @BrendanTietz
      @BrendanTietz  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      What he said! Just take it slow and consciously think about how many reps it feels like you have left at the end of a set, play it conservative always in the beginning and when it feels under go up a bit more. Tbh it takes about a year or more to truly perfect. Having a coach helps or someone in person. 2-3 months to get it down

    When rpe 5 for first set, do u keep same weight for second top set and it turns into an rpe 6 because of fatigue, or r u supposed to increase weight for second set to make it an rpe 6 instead of 5 that u did on first set
